we had an RM250 powered one in the early 2000's with the short chain and a 1to1 sprocket ratio that 150mph exaggeration isnt that far off. the math is there to support it. ours had a 1/2 ratchet instead of the kick start. had a BMX brake lever on it too hooked up as a throttle actuator for starting. this was before the current age where everything is on camera, so we would ride it on the highway at night. this vid brought back a rush of good memories.
At no exaggeration the 1.3 and 1.6 geo motors produce about 50hp Lmfao this kid is a Pretty Fart Smeller.. btw top notch fabrication by a very young genius great work as always Vasily Customs
Don't get bummed out. That was the first real shakedown! Things happen. Believe me. It doesn't always go as planned. I'm old and grey and it STILL happens! Lol. I think you did a nice job. Good to see young people take an interest in creating!
aluminum doesn't like flexing under vibration .. endurance fatigue rather limited ... you need an entirely different mount system, where the whole radiator is not flexing off the mount .. and then put rubber washers between the AL radiator and the steel mounting flanges .. such failures are common on racing kart radiators and fuel tanks.. proper mounting is the solution.
years ago i built a off road gocart powered it with a air cooled cr250 that had been ported and polished it was geared 2:1 and we used to get 70mph plus out of it!
I have a Lectron carb on my 2017 Husqvarna TE 300 and it made the bike electric, it’s so smooth everywhere and fuel milage was increased by at least 15%.
I bought $200 worth of stuff from Go Power Sports yesterday. I did it because they support you and you don't over talk about them as a sponsor. Cars and Cameras pushes Go Power Sports to the point I want to scream.
one of the things about motocross bikes that i dont like is the 5 speed close gear ratio gearbox i feel like im always looking for a lower gear in first and a higher gear in fifth. great job man
built a shifter cart with a 550 air cooled honda off of an old 74 model street bike absolutely a blast to ride the roll cage was set up like a late model dirt track car but it would fit in the bed of your truck with the tailgate down
Love the video thanks for sharing and when you build stuff like this there is always trial and errors so just learn what you did wrong and fix it no biggie cool 😎 shifter cart tho that thing really cranks and only can imagine how fast it will be once you work all the bugs 🐜 out ✌️👍
To stop the vibration use pieces of car tire where the motor mounts to the frame also you can use the same thing to mount the seat and the radiators and other things too. 50 years of go-kart experience.
All these people laughing at 150mph. So many negative people. Never doubt some one who obviously has a passion to achieve this goal. Ive seen negative people eat their words many times. Good build , good luck an be safe bro!
You need to install some type of stabilizer or mount for the Carb and Air Box, you cant just leave it flopping around on the intake boot like that, well, not for very long anyway, too much leverage. You cant solid mount the rads obviously. There's a lot of sorting out to do here, but honestly you have done some nice work thus far man. I'm sure you will figure the rest of the details in time. Tip... Don't ignore how things were done on the donor bike....
hey those radiators typically mount to a dirt bike on the other flange and are isolated with rubber, the side you have them mounted on is typically where the shrouds bolt to. Would be cool to see them remounted lower for a lower center of gravity, it will still see good coolant temps even mounted lower
Nice job man.. keep working out the kinks.. unforseen problems are gonna happen with a totally custom build..been following since the beginning of this build.. keep tweaking.. you'll get it to where you want it.. SHE'S CLOSE!!!! very glad to see a youngster doing productive creative things.. maybe all hope is not lost
God bless you buddy you are killing it you are a great example of passion snd hard work and staying humble will be unlimited success God bless and keep up the hard work brother!
Now i get why you drove the wobbly buggy like a go-cart ;) We drove our go-carts weekly at track, friend died in his, volted over and broke neck, died on spot. You got a rollbar on yours, good, but for f sake use gloves if need to use hand in emergency. They do roll over, we did monthly if hit curve to hard or hit other carts wheels. Enjoy zooming around in the cart, it's great fun yes. Nothing like a cart on a well brushed and clean road.
I was thinking u should add big rubber washers under all the stuff u dnt want to vibrate off and crack so it takes some of the pounding that and mabe a couple extra braces in need be places should take care of the issue and always if u no 2 stroke its alot like nitro when u go to take off and it Boggs down before it takes off and seams to not all but hit power soon as u slam it to the floor the carb needs adjusted just a lil tip not trying to tell u what to do but I'm stoked 4 you to finally get her legs stretched alil bit she has soo so so much more in her if she it properly tuned trust me on that bro...congrats & good luck be safe ...✌
Had a kart with a KZ400 on it 40 yrs ago. Had the gastank overhead too..lol but found out the pipes burned through back of the seat and cought my coat on fire.
Rebuild your water pump. The water pump seal faces outward to the impeller if it's backwards it will leak cause your motor to overheat good build I love it
Awesome video looks like a blast to ride. The rear wing I think would look cool and functional on the nose like an indi car. Add a rubber mount to the radiators so it's not hard mounted other than that Loctite every nut and bolt. Just my 2¢ 👍👍from this guy
I know you may not like this idea, but a vertical shift lever will improve your shifting. Lever it right for a shirt and crisp throw and your gear shifts will improve greatly. The paddles are too far away from the wheel for them to be quick with shifting
I agree with this.. there's a reason this is the setup 250cc carts use.Any shifter kart really...Also looks like the foot petals are a little far away.. awesome build man. Keep tweaking on it working out the bugs..
It's bad ass luv the cart you built you done a great job it always have wanted one I have a nice rm 250 two stroke with brand new Wisco pro lite piston kit doomed type more compression and brand new bottom end that I have not rode it 2 hours since full rebuilt engine is have been riding my yz 85 it's so easy to handle and fast out of the hole cause it doesn't way but a140 lbs the rm fast but it ways 230 lbs I would luv too make a shifter cart using the rm 250 it would be awesome keep the great work up luv your shifter cart it's bad ass
A rubber mount yes but also a cross bridge so that they are not just held on by 2 ears. Think about it like this the air flow will push on the rads and adds a lot of stress on the mounting points. Great Video and keep up the Great work!!!! #smallenginenation
Cool build. It sux building and building and constantly things break. I don't film my builds but my pic shows a 180cc gy6 pain the arse. I keep it from rattling apart with a dab of hot glue😁 on every bolt and screw. It'll run 70+. Stock was 60 so a lot of work and money for torque mostly.
Awesome stuff! 👍 good to hear it shifting through the gears bro! it's normal to have some bugs to work out when we build from scratch! Keep up the good work! Braaaaaaap!
For carburetion, you can't go wrong with Lectron. It's like the Rolls Royce of carbs. Try getting a set for a Hayabusa (2500$USD) so 400$USD is not so bad for a single one. Great choice!!
Good to see it out an ripping it up! Your gonna have some issues, but you will work them out in due time.. Amazing job so far, keep up the great work young man.
Black plug means rich, white burnt looking too lean. Could honestly lean out a bit. For the clutch oil not saying you did anything wrong, but run gear case oil 80w/85w. Oil meant for the high revolution and longevity for a two stroke. Four stroke racing what I do mx after practice and race is a oil change and same with two smokes. I just did complete rebuild of yz125 and buddy did everything wrong from clutch oil to pre mix fuel. I would recommend "benol" oil at 50:1 sounds lean for the fuel to oil ratio but gets the best burn out of 93-100 octane. Every oil for fuel ratio companies have their own burn ratio like amsoil pro saber at 80:1 110:1. I want to see this kart at max potential and sounds like you could wind out the gears a little more to engage the power band, but to get your fresh plates to get the friction change the oil, and try and get some of the best fuel in town, and run some bénol at 50:1, then she'll run amazing with that fresh carb and reeds.
Awesome build! I think that a shift lever like a shifter kart would work much better in this application because it looks like its hard to shift with those paddles. Also at 3:44 it looked like the axle isn't totally straight which could cause the kart to shake and vibrate. But what the hell do I know, I'm only a youtube comment and you probably already know what really needs to be improved. Anyway, great job on the chassis, it looks hella clean.
Excuse me, I said 120mph but that was an exaggeration. 80-90 mph will be good enough for now. This thing isn't even close to its full potential.
vp racing mrx 02
Oh man when I heard him say that I about s*** myself I said at least 90 to about a hundred but a hundred twenty hundred-fifty hell no way
Would be awesome if you put suspension on it. It’s amazing how good you are at making things
Top speed * classified😂
Why don’t you run it on vp110. High octane and get a phathead. And that thing will hit 105. Guaranteed
Think to install front disc brake, stop 200kg kart at 100+mph isn't a joke, anyway great job!!!
we had an RM250 powered one in the early 2000's with the short chain and a 1to1 sprocket ratio that 150mph exaggeration isnt that far off. the math is there to support it. ours had a 1/2 ratchet instead of the kick start. had a BMX brake lever on it too hooked up as a throttle actuator for starting. this was before the current age where everything is on camera, so we would ride it on the highway at night. this vid brought back a rush of good memories.
Look at this guy right here! You never stop working towards your goal. Love this project. Can't wait to see what new projects you have instore !
Taking It To Mexico Goes Right Up The Street 😂
That's the inside joke to the garage built community. Implying it's legal in Mexico
🤫🤫🤫🤫
For the vibrations problem, I would mount the engine on silenblocks, or something with the same function
0.9 Geo metros.
Absolutely cash.
Lol that had me dying
Hell yeah. That shit was funny
At no exaggeration the 1.3 and 1.6 geo motors produce about 50hp Lmfao this kid is a Pretty Fart Smeller.. btw top notch fabrication by a very young genius great work as always Vasily Customs
Thank you!
Put radiator on rubber mounts to avoid vibration ;)
Yeah, the cooler is wise to put on the gums.
put rad a lot lower and behind motor on side where it’s doesn’t puke hot fluid all over ya if your have headgasket issues later on Pimpin
Don't get bummed out. That was the first real shakedown! Things happen. Believe me. It doesn't always go as planned. I'm old and grey and it STILL happens! Lol. I think you did a nice job. Good to see young people take an interest in creating!

Time to give it away to a lucky subscriber haha
I weeeeeesh XD
When he at 1m + views each vid, maybe c:
I bought $200 worth of stuff from Go Power Sports yesterday. I did it because they support you and you don't over talk about them as a sponsor. Cars and Cameras pushes Go Power Sports to the point I want to scream.
That really helps me out! Thanks sir. It does suck though they did away with the 5% discount their parts may be pricy
one of the things about motocross bikes that i dont like is the 5 speed close gear ratio gearbox i feel like im always looking for a lower gear in first and a higher gear in fifth. great job man
Nice carb, You will never regret buying the best product you can afford.
should have bought a smart carb
built a shifter cart with a 550 air cooled honda off of an old 74 model street bike absolutely a blast to ride the roll cage was set up like a late model dirt track car but it would fit in the bed of your truck with the tailgate down
I have been waiting for this so long! Ohhh and the sound ❤️ right after 0:04
Nobody:
Every Bike build: lectron carb
That's sick man!! You are an inspiration for me since some day I want to build my own stuff
Love the video thanks for sharing and when you build stuff like this there is always trial and errors so just learn what you did wrong and fix it no biggie cool 😎 shifter cart tho that thing really cranks and only can imagine how fast it will be once you work all the bugs 🐜 out ✌️👍
I cant believe its only 240lbs. That is crazy for the size and amount of tubing!! Sick power to weight ratio
Yeah it came out decent! Ill have to show that on camera. If I would have used 0.095 wall tubing it would be even lighter
Never tried a Lectron I’ve always heard they were good stuff. I always kept my Mikunis pretty spot on so no need. Nice cart, b careful

And ill add, 150mph is very reasonable. Laughing like its unrealistic just shows they have no true idea.
Thanks! Yeah even 115mph will make me happy
I wasn't able to see, but were you running a ruber bushing between the mount and the radiator?
“Were taking this thing to Mexico” 😂😂
Martinn lmaoooo I’m subbing

Sure sounds like Mexico, (Rooster in background) lol I like it.
Clear float bowl is genius!
God bless you buddy you are killing it you are a great example of passion snd hard work and staying humble will be unlimited success God bless and keep up the hard work brother!
It’s been a while. Nice to be back!! 😀😀
I swear this is the same dude from goonzsquad 😂
Nope
__ I was just saying the same thing
Yeees
I’d say never run hard past your trailer and rig, one stuck throttle or missed shift wouldn’t be a pretty accident
Awesome 🤘🏻🐿🤘🏻 two squirrels up 🐿🐿
I love that UPS Parts delivery feeling too
5:23 definitely not a stop sign 😂
2STROKE TUNER I peeped that too. Lol
Stop sign with identifying cross street names
1970 920 thank you for saying it so I didn’t have to. (Common sense morons)
Problem solving is part of the game, and knowing when to ignore stupid comments.😉
you did an excellent job, you have gold in your hands
Now i get why you drove the wobbly buggy like a go-cart ;)

Definitely mount that radiator in rubber mounting blocks. You built a great cart. You are getting the bugs out of it. Love the videos
This video got you a new sub today a couple of months later.
So excited I hope she stays running nice
I think I like this build better than all the Gixxercarts and things of that nature. 2 Stroke is 2x the fun!
G'day you learn by your mistakes ,you learned a lot that day . I agree with some other viewers rubber mount the motor & radiators.
That cart is so BEAST. Just need to mount everything on rubber mounts. 2 strokes vibrate. I have a banshee 🤔
Nice. That looks insanely fast!
I've been wanting on this like forever
This is an awesome build dude. I really want to try something similar. Congrats on where you're at with this.
Nice carb !! Loved the videography/music during the rollout.
Thanks man!
The neighbors are like "great.....now we get to hear that all day"................."hey can I get a turn?"
Very cool. Nice work. Way to keep a positive attitude, education is expensive no matter how you get it, and you are learning tons!! Keep it up.
Had a kart with a KZ400 on it 40 yrs ago. Had the gastank overhead too..lol but found out the pipes burned through back of the seat and cought my coat on fire.
Nice i had seat break i went into motor had clutch muffler and chain blisters all over my back trying avoid ppl that nvr work day in there lives
Kz400 kart was a wicked thing I bet. Those KZ motors were badass.
Rebuild your water pump. The water pump seal faces outward to the impeller if it's backwards it will leak cause your motor to overheat good build I love it
Subscribed. Nice build brotha
Thank you!
your awesome mate you have done really well. wish you we're my son seriously. keep up the great work and positivity.
Nice vid ! I have been watining !
Stuff may have went wrong but it was sexy while it was tearing up! Can't wait to see the new mods that will go on! 🏁💪😎🏁
Don’t listen to the knobs with advice,it’s a home built cart good job
Awesome video looks like a blast to ride. The rear wing I think would look cool and functional on the nose like an indi car. Add a rubber mount to the radiators so it's not hard mounted other than that Loctite every nut and bolt. Just my 2¢
👍👍from this guy
This kart is amazing. I need one of these to satisfy my need for speed.
I know you may not like this idea, but a vertical shift lever will improve your shifting. Lever it right for a shirt and crisp throw and your gear shifts will improve greatly. The paddles are too far away from the wheel for them to be quick with shifting

Props for the build 💯
This kid and weld and weld better than me I have no experience but he's going places lol yeeeettt
That thing is so fast! Sorry I missed it!
Thats why they are called test runs. Always going to find small problems after a full build
Keep up the good work fix all the bugs and it will be reliable soon enough
finally someone builds a kart with some guts! nice work mate, that looks hella fast!
Love the builds, you’re living my dream
That's pretty sick how you kept the kickstart.
im building one finally... i like this design for sure
Nice Shake-down run. 👍😎🏁
and your definitely gonna want Front-brakes.
7:07 wow first time ive ever seen anyone stall a 250 im impressed
Sweet ! Can't really rip it until everything broken in anyway, and that was Awesome !Great job.
You have a lot of skill mate. Well done
A rubber mount yes but also a cross bridge so that they are not just held on by 2 ears. Think about it like this the air flow will push on the rads and adds a lot of stress on the mounting points. Great Video and keep up the Great work!!!! #smallenginenation
Vasily I'd really like to say you're a very talented person
I want it!!!!!! Lol this thing is super nice and sick good job keep it up ..cant believe its finally done
That's a blast. Absolutely amazing

Thanks man. I actually have a gy6 150 buggy that has caused me tons of headaches. Ended up swapping a 670 vtwin on it
@@VasilyBuilds nice.

Some times you can't beat the cabutor that came with it no adjustable don't seem right luv you're awesome cart I want to get one great video

Thank you! That's probably why, I think the axle bent
Awesome choice on lectron
Put rubber washers on all the bolts to prevent vibration
A carb collection is all way's handy. They can also be a form of art as well, Don't let people knock it even knowing jet's is a good skill.
Sounds really nice 😎
SWEET!..I saw my sticker!..you rock bro!
I was just going to say that I saw your sticker in the video
Gotta work out the bugs..dont get bummed..that was so sick..the video is made perfectly..great job..🤜👍
Thanks man
This kid and weld and weld better than me I have no experience but he's going places lol yeeeettt he's a cars and cameras by himself lol
Holy crap that goes nuts
Super awesome build
