The NSX felt like it was riding on rails, stopped on a dime, accelerated like a bat out of hell, and sounded beautiful on the straight away at 130 mph. 0:52 Right on, brother! The new NSX paved the way for so many other super cars. It’s amazing that people accept anything from any other car maker, but cry heresy when Acura actually does something revolutionary and technologically advance. It’s not like Ferrari or anybody else is still making naturally aspirated engines with manual transmissions. Even 911’s have become bloated GT’s.
What did acura really do to innovate anything really? Overpriced underperforming car that doesn't even have great performance for the price? Ffs the car got embarrassed by a gt3 rs on a track, even on the nurburgring bruh.
@@Michael-tm6vs how is it underpowered? it does 0 to 60 in 2.7 seconds. show me another car within its price point that did that in 2017 when it came out. it keeps up with most newer supercar even now. it has SHAWD which is one of the best handling AWD systems out there. it’s just too heavy and that’s why it does bad on track. but it’s electrical engineering led to many other manufacturers to do the same. it was the only hybrid supercar when it came out other than the LaFerrari & 918. and it was a fraction of the cost. interior isn’t great and that’s the one thing. this thing even gets like 40+ mpg with probably the most comfortable suspension system on a supercar.
@@Michael-tm6vs like he said^. It was way ahead of its time. And slow around a track? It’s quicker than an R8, GTR, and others, and just a couple SECONDS off the pace of others like McLaren. If you judge a car only by how quick it is around a track then you’re overall viewpoint on cars is very skewed. And have you seen an interior if a McLaren, Ford GT, Porsche 911 and others? They’re certainly nothing to brag about. I’ve ridden in some of those too, including the NSX!
They don’t understand, real Nsx fans are few in numbers because most of us are really smart, tech savvy, and most of all real drivers. I think the navigation could be upgraded, but who cares when you’re blasting around corners making Paul Walker smile

They sold out the first day. They received 497 orders and had to tell dealers to stop. I thankfully ran down the first day of release and secured a deposit on an allocation.
@@jblaze600 I put down curva red but then saw a normal red NSX in person and didn’t like the shade. I changed it to white. I’d like Thermal Orange or maybe the yellow but both wouldn’t look good with red brake calipers. Yellow and red are ok but it’s a little bit Ronald McDonald. To change the caliper color you’ve got to get the lightweight package with carbon ceramic brakes. They’re cool but I’d rather have steel for replacement costs and the steel brakes only come in red. Difficult decisions. So basically if you don’t get a red, black, or white car then you’re paying more for the paint and more for the calipers to match. I wish i were slightly more wealthy lol.
Job well done sir. Great review, thanks for giving all of us a sneak peak at something so special. You mentioned it against the Corvette. I think for the price point, the Corvette just brings more value per dollar? Either way, both look like great cars. I enjoy the passion and excitement you bring to your craft.
These are such great looking cars, and I miss my '17 Nord Gray with Orchid interior. But not too much as I replaced it with a new GT500. The C8 styling looks busy and angular as compared to this, while this looks like pure elegance with a touch of aggressiveness in the front. Totally different look. In addition to the well deserved zonk for lack of ventilated seats, I think it deserved a zonk for the lack of infotainment updates. Those two things were my chief complaint about the car. The audio simply has no bass; its like comparing an Apple HomePod Mini vs the standard HomePod. Why did I get rid of it? I live in a semi-rural to rural area and medical issues will soon make it difficult for me to drive an hour for me to get this thing serviced. You can't just get the oil changed at your local Honda dealer (no Acura dealer here) as they'll almost certainly get it wrong. It has 7 drain plugs and a pretty involved procedure to get it done, and the dealer back in California mentioned Acura requires specially trained dealer techs to work on the car.
Great review as always! This thing looks gorgeous but the price point.....at this money an R8 or a 911 turbo could be had. If I remember correctly, the reason the NSX didnt get the spotlight it wanted is cuz the day it was supposed to be revealed, Ford came out with the GT at the autoshow, which was an absolute show stopper.
Wow! I definitely purchase 1 over C8. That C8 door boomerang thing and hideous led running lights not a good look. Good review brah 👍. I would like too see NSX side mirror couple inches up like 85' 86' Ferrari Testarossa.

The 2nd gen NSX is a masterpiece. The 573hp TT V6 and electric motor combo are an engineering marvel. One of the greatest cars ever built by Honda/Acura, and also one of the all-time greats of Japanese cars in general. I hope someday to own a newer NSX, preferably a Type-S...you know what, truth be told I don't even care what kind or spec even, I just want to drive an NSX!

That is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! That color just really stands out as well. And of course that ride at the end looked fun and it sounds EXTREME! Hopefully soon we can see this and the new Z06 Line up! That would be SICK!!
This would really compete, indirectly, with the Corvette E-Ray AWD. It will have electric motors up front, and should be slightly faster than the Stingray for $75k
The fact you said slightly faster ain't gonna make people want to buy this NSX here. At a performance for a price point, Corvette seems to have got them beat.

Lately I’ve been falling in love with japanese makers as never before...
LFA, LC500 and this Acura among others, plus the perfect color
Genuinely a masterpiece magnificent car❣️
the lfa and lc500 are almost classics by todays standard lol
Such a sexy beast and that carbon fiber accents also look sexy. Shame this car will be discontinued I hope Acura eventually does another generation
I really fell in love
Acura already confirmed another generation and hinted at fully electric.
@@icculus I hope that’s not true because if they do that nobody will buy them
@@mattmekhaeil It’s true, and it’s fine because Acura has to evolve like everybody else. Just be thankful that they even make a supercar.
@@mattmekhaeil Not many people are buying them as is.. 😅
Beautiful color combo 😍
Great review Mr. Joe and HUGE THANKS to the Queen of the camera Ms Lory for her wonderful work!
Lori knocked this one right out of the park!
@@RaitisRides Yes sir, she always delivers!👍🏼
Watching these videos motivates me to work harder, so one day I’ll be able to afford a beast like this.
Just chill bro bills suck
That is exactly what it is supposed to do. Unfortunately entire generation of Americans either want it without having to work or they just don't want it at all...
Your hard work will pay off!
Hey Cookie, you can make anything happen for yourself
Bought a 2017 NSX and it has Science of Speed tune, exhaust and spoiler. Supposed to now be over 700hp. Love the car and it does get the looks. Jay Leno was quoted as this is his daily driver and best built car in America.
I was in Las Vegas last Feb and did some hot laps in an Acura NSX at the Las Vegas Speedway with Dream Racing. The NSX felt like it was riding on rails, stopped on a dime, accelerated like a bat out of hell, and sounded beautiful on the straight away at 130 mph. Very few high performance supercar will last as long, drive as hard, be reliable +100,000 miles, and can be used as daily driver (Porsche and Corvette also comes to mind for checking the same boxes).
I was expecting the driving segment to be you driving the regular car, Joe. You really treated us to something special at the end! Thanks to you and Lori for everything.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’m there will be a separate media event for the drive so stay tuned!
Awesome review…great job! Crazy meeting you (and your better half) on the flight out here from Tampa for this review. 👍🏻
Hey Matt! That’s so awesome we were on the same flight. We have more to come from Long Beach! It was great meeting you and we appreciate your support!
Great to meet you too!
Holy Moly !!! Joe !!! Great job hanging in there inside that Gt3 cause you were getting tossed around like a rag doll.
That NSX TYPE S in that blue is stunning 😍
It was one heck of an ON THROTTLE experience
Wow a what a beauty and beast worth every penny….this nsx will hold its value for sure
This is so very true Paul!
C8 Z06 blows away the NSX in the sound department. The new Z06 really is a reborn 458. The NSX has the benefit of being a lot less common in general. I see C8s everywhere. This facelift did wonders for the NSX and I think it will draw in people who are in the market for a 911 Turbo or similar, but want something a little different. I can't wait to see Raiti get behind the wheel of a Type S later cuz his reaction to NSX performance is super enjoyable to watch.
I am so glad that I can share the excitement with you!
Maaaaaaaan!!!! Acura is sending off the NSX in fiiiiiine style!!! I love it!!! I know that last transporter was full so please put this one on the next transporter, thank you very much. 👍🏾🚗💨💨💨#RaitisRides #OnThrottle #Acura #NSX #Type_S #Type_S_All_The_Things
I knew you were going to love this one Mario
Isn't the Raiti's Rides better than all car-youtubers reviews out there?
Dam skippy
Definitely. As much as I love Demuro's reviews, Raiti just brings in consistent uploads and is among one of the very first to do so with new car models/years.
Thanks for having my back!
@@Iang343 you are so awesome Ian!
@@Bionimetic we love sharing it with you!
that blue looks so good!
It really works so well!
Joe I saw your TikTok on this car. This is far and above the mid-engine Corvette which I would never own.
Thanks for following us on all the other platforms, and I totally agree with you!
Your presenting ability is excellent. Waiting for a track test of this NSX. Good luck
You really nailed it!
The cars rear ended looks a hell lot better than the C8 rear ended.
Soooooo very true
what about the interior? C8 looks stupid inside
@@asalmansouri221 the only visually appealing part of the C8 is the front end lol
Wow! What a beautiful face-lift on the NSX!! Reminds me of the Fenyr Supersport! I love it!!!!😍
So very true!
Love your brief historic intros. This car looks menacing! Nice video indeed!
Raiti's does it best! Seriously love the personality this guy brings! The humor about the jolly ranchers and twinkies was hilarious! This guy does it better than Doug thats for sure.
Hey Joe awesome to see all your hard work is paying off, hopefully you hit 1000000 subscribers before too long. Great work !
Thanks for being so supportive and on the journey with us!
Yeah I've pretty much been here from the start. You just keep getting better and better!
This thing is f-ing amazing. Great design in and out.
Super sexy for sure!
If I could afford this car I would rebadge it as a Honda civic sport
Sounds like a plan!
I debadged my civic. Now it’s just a Honda sport. 👍 maybe go for that.
If I had the money this is what I would pick over all the other exotic super cars out there. I loved the new design but this Type S is just sick.
Trust me I know how you feel!
The styling updates to the front are incredible, like you said, this is how it should always have looked. Such an improvement, hope the sales reflect it. I need enough of them in world to grab one when I win the lotto lol
WOW. This colour is amazing. And it’s such an underrated car.
I want one so badly!
Same
Mark my words. This version of the NSX will be extremely rare and valuable once Acura discontinues it. I assume it won’t get many sales but even if it does, one year of production means only a few will be roaming around. Beautiful car too
They sold out the first day. They received 497 orders and had to tell dealers to stop. I thankfully ran down the first day of release and secured a deposit on an allocation.
@@kellyjensen9425 oh nice! Hope you enjoy that monster of a car man 👍🏽
@@s.e.a6517 Thanks man. It’ll be the most expensive car I’ve ever purchased. Doesn’t feel real yet
What color? Congrats
Now thats a sexy car🔥🔥 acura done it again ! Raiti i hope to see you giving news on the comeback of the INTEGRA SOON👀👀
Big things from Acura for sure!
Can't front that cockpit is sooooo different and new. Dopeee. Look at how he sits in the seat. And that center console😳😳😳😳 damn

Torque: 666Nm
Fuel tank capacity: 60.2l
Top speed: 306kmh
Thanks brother man
Job well done sir. Great review, thanks for giving all of us a sneak peak at something so special.
You mentioned it against the Corvette. I think for the price point, the Corvette just brings more value per dollar? Either way, both look like great cars.
I enjoy the passion and excitement you bring to your craft.
That is so very true! Thank you for letting me share my car passion with you!
You think the z06 won't be close in price? It probably will be
These are such great looking cars, and I miss my '17 Nord Gray with Orchid interior.
It has 7 drain plugs and a pretty involved procedure to get it done, and the dealer back in California mentioned Acura requires specially trained dealer techs to work on the car.
japanese reliability+awesome styling. I'd take one right now if I could!
You are so very right about that!
True, but the interior is still horrible ☹️

Think I would have to buy a house before this car, lol.
You can’t race a house though! 😉
I'm in love with it. Literally 🔥🤙😌
Wow! I definitely purchase 1 over C8. That C8 door boomerang thing and hideous led running lights not a good look. Good review brah 👍.
I would like too see NSX side mirror couple inches up like 85' 86' Ferrari Testarossa.
I've been watching your videos intermittently since the early WRX and STi review days. Your channel has grown explosively since then, wishing you good luck in the future.
I intend to purchase this NSX Type-S sometime in the future, ideally in Gotham Grey. My favorite car ever, but I might have to get it off someone who doesn't want it anymore. Hopefully they won't appreciate like crazy!
This is fire 🔥
Oh heck yeah!
Joe, are you and Lori in San Antonio, Texas at the Toyota Tundra plant this week for the Tundra reveal??
Already was there!
Stay tuned! 😉
That must have been some ride! It doesn't translate on camera but I know those guys go very fast!
It was one hell of an ON THROTTLE
He really gives out legit content. Who cares about infotainment. Bugatti has none. All we need is 0-60 in less than 2.8 SEC's.
I would gladly give up my first born child for this car!!!
I’m sure many out there would.
🔥This gone be a good one🔥
Hold on tight!
Seriously, no disrespect to the C8 but it looks exotic, this actually is exotic. The Z06 that will be a different beast, cheers to the great choices we have!
Excellent way to put it.
@@RaitisRides Joe your videos are awesome brother keep up the honest yet fun review's. I mean who doesn't like a Twinkie holder? Lol
Shame on rich folks. Actually They do not deserve 😑
Such a rare one of a kind supercar from Japan with excellent engineering.
It’s going to be interesting
I love you bro, sick shoes mate.
Thanks my friend!
I'm a big fan of the Aerodynamics the time spent designing, fabricating, and explaining the efforts placed in it. Then comes Tesla Plaid with non of that body reengineering and kills the game.
Funnily...I'd take the type s over that fast ass plaid anyday. Personally, I like the sportscar look. Not super fast mini van looking things
@@marklopez3459 me too. You can get a box and put a rocket in it, it doesn't make it sport car

The design on the NSX makes the C8 looks like a silly replica. Honda just knows how to nail the proportions. What a beautiful thing!
You nailed it 👍
Also known as the Honda NSX Type S in Japan.
Of course it’s is a better car. The C8 looks like a plastic Hot Wheels car. The NSX looks incredible and the build quality is undoubtedly better.
It's the other way around, actually.
Stunning 2nd gen. Acura NSX! I saw a silver one the other day...at first glance, I thought it was a Ferrari. Looks Badass!

Cheap?
@@yes8032 yes cheap the infotainment is taken straight out the last generation civic. Also lots of cheap plastic all over the place
Absolutely not. An admirable attempt but the c8 is much better.
It’s always nice to have choices!
Beautiful design, inside and out, awesome powertrain, the best NSX ever even though they haven't mentioned the real weight. But I must tell you I'll choose the Corvette 2023 with the flat plane crank V8 with 4CAMS and 32 valves reving up its more fun and enjoyable. 👍👍
Like the video, other than the fact that while going around the track we didn’t see what the car was doing, we were just staring into your face
