Definitely was one of the greatest feats of engineering when the r35 first came out 14 years ago. Unconventional boxy design, heavy weight and relatively cheap compared to other cars of the same specs at the time. Even then it was better than the rest. The rest have now caught up and is much more advanced now, it's now time for the r35 to retire.

The GTR doesn't seem to have evolved much. I'm sure when it came out it would have put up a good fight with the 911 of the day. But Porsche have really moved the game on.

Even a McLaren 600LT (which is older and feature less power) beats it in some performance metric, such as 100-200km/h acceleration.
911 also have one of the best form engine designed. It had the smoothness of inline, box shape is compact like a V designed engine, torque from low all the way to red line. The chassis is as great as the engine. This is almost an art in the car world.

I would argue the Honda V6 is the ‘best’ V6 in terms of longevity. Honda is always finding a balance between power and longevity. I’m sure a tune would wake the NSX up. A tune would go a long way for that car. Could increase the output of the batteries if you increased cooling, which alone could nearly double the torque if tuned right. And the engine itself has turbos that could be tuned. Granted the others could be tuned too, but I think the NSX has more room to grow than the other two.

The Type S will be a little faster. For a noteworthy improvement go with the base BSX with race tires & the Science of Speed JB4 module & exhaust upgrade where race gas tiukds 700 hp with 0-60 in 2.6. See the YT video to verify.
Carwow did do a normal NSX vs normal GTR video 4 years ago. That white NSX performed much better than this orange one with a 10.8sec 1/4 mile and I won't spoil the rest, you just watch.

Nsx sounds the best. I was reading about the original NSX design new sports car experiment and how Senna helped refine it . The way Honda went about designing that thing is an interesting read... If you dig engineering or cars.

TBF Porsche has never aimed to have the best sounding cars (apart from the Carrera GT 🤤). Add all the regulations to that and you get what we have today. But Porsche’s engineering it’s still undefeated
Yeah, no kidding. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I almost don't see the point of having an exciting sports car like that when it sounds like a vacuum cleaner. I'd rather go back a couple of generations and get something that sounds good. Sound is such a big part of the experience in my opinion.
I don't think they have the money plus they have to comply with the emission regulations. Not to mention Renault is really tight fisted and tries to spend only on the necessary things. Surely it is in the works though, my guess is if the new 400Z will be a success then they will announce the new GTR as well. Though it most likely won't be a worldwide model and probably will be made in limited numbers. Or they just wait a few years and go electric, easier to pump out that 6-700 horses that way.
I work for a Nissan Dealership in Austria, and we‘ve heard, that there will be a hybrid-version. But unfortunately we don’t think the gt-r gets a major facelift

I would argue the Honda V6 is the ‘best’ V6 in terms of longevity. Honda is always finding a balance between power and longevity. I’m sure a tune would wake the NSX up. A tune would go a long way for that car. Could increase the output of the batteries if you increased cooling, which alone could nearly double the torque if tuned right. And the engine itself has turbos that could be tuned. Granted the others could be tuned too, but I think the NSX has more room to grow than the other two.

Oh he knew that I'm sure but he doesn't like losing, then again who does. The porsche is just too much power and also a bit lighter. For some reason I still like the gtr though. Of course I cant afford to buy any of them lol.
@@vroomgc losing in a drag race isn't anyone's fault though, it just means the cars not fast enough. It's funny how matt and yanni sometimes take losing the drag race so personal, not so much in this one but there are some videos where it shows. I imagine them being big babies in real lfe

@Maverick the 765lt struggled miserably in dragtimes new video on a drag strip, the effects will be much worse on a street.

The Type S will be a little faster. For a noteworthy improvement go with the base BSX with race tires & the Science of Speed JB4 module & exhaust upgrade where race gas tiukds 700 hp with 0-60 in 2.6. See the YT video to verify.

TBF Porsche has never aimed to have the best sounding cars (apart from the Carrera GT 🤤). Add all the regulations to that and you get what we have today. But Porsche’s engineering it’s still undefeated
Yeah, no kidding. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I almost don't see the point of having an exciting sports car like that when it sounds like a vacuum cleaner. I'd rather go back a couple of generations and get something that sounds good. Sound is such a big part of the experience in my opinion.

I don't think they have the money plus they have to comply with the emission regulations. Not to mention Renault is really tight fisted and tries to spend only on the necessary things.
Surely it is in the works though, my guess is if the new 400Z will be a success then they will announce the new GTR as well. Though it most likely won't be a worldwide model and probably will be made in limited numbers.
Or they just wait a few years and go electric, easier to pump out that 6-700 horses that way.
