- GoPro Volta is primarily designed for vlogging with GoPro Hero 10 Black and Hero 9 Black allowing you to charge your camera while recording a video, wireless connection to your camera so you can change the modes and start your recordings but it can also be used as a handy camera grip or a small tripod. It also has standard GoPro connection so it can be mounted to any GoPro mounts offering some versatility, however this accessory is designed for vlogging in mind.
GoPro Volta is compatible with existing mods so you can use it with Media Mod, Light Mod for Hero 10 and Hero 9.
If you wonder whether its gonna work for Hero 8 and older cameras, well it will but not as well. You will have to estabilish a bluetooth connection like a standard remote the problem is you wont see which mode you are operating in, and plugging the cable wont allow you to change between modes and control the camera, you can just charge it though.

GoPro suggests plugging the loose cable into the Volta’s charging port to keep it from flopping around.

Hi! Great channel! New Sub. I am currently in Thailand and this was limited and expensive here. I just for it and I will use it without the battery in the camera to keep the 10 cooler. Cant wait to use it.

do you think putting 360 insta selfie stick on that 1/4 hole would work well as an extension? I ordered the volta but it would be nice to have an option for a bit more of height.

Honestly, I would've seriously considered this if it had been released with the GoPro 10. If it was a Gimbal, then, I would purchase it right away especially at $91 with GoPro subscription. As usual, great review of this item, Tomasz. Curiously, where did you get your copy? From GoPro's website itself?
Hey i got it from.official website in europe. It really sucks its not compatible with older camera models as of today. I talked with gopro support and the lady wasnt sure if and/or when its gonna be compatible. Can be someday or never.
Buy both. Avoid buying Gimbals where you have to adjust manually because at some point you will use media kit and the Go Pro without it.The weight is different..and adjust Everytime...OMG. with this stick you can use the media kit.
Can the Volta be used without the GoPro battery? Also is the output 5 volts and a min of 2 amps?

The water floating grip on the 3 way works well as much as the tri pod

The handle is really well made and gonna save your camera whenever you are near water :) i know a friend who lost his camera cause he disnt have it at the time and now its laying at the bottom of the sea

Thanks for the common sense review. We already have a Hohem iSteady Pro 4 gimbal bought on your recommendation - which as you say is a better choice than the Volta as it does the same plus a lot more and is around the same price.
I really dont like that cable hanging there ita just so bad , i cant see using it on a bicycle or motorbike as a remote because of thay cable getting wet or damaged great idea but poorly done. Even though isteady 4 doesnt offer flawless stabilisation etc , for that motion timelapse festure alone i would really recommend it over volta

@@donbobness exactly they say its weatherproof but its not when youndisconnect the cable from the camera. Whenever younusenit as a remote its port is exposed waiting for water or snow to get in

Very expensive and does not worth the money. Ibought the ulanzi bg3 10000mah for 39.95 usd and if you want a remote you can buy for another 30usd of telsin. Totaly around 70usd. And not 130usd. The volta battery capacity is 4900mah vs ulanzi 10000mah.
