Does the little blue light in the volta grip always stay on? The one by the timer light
Does the volta works well with the extension you added in the first few minutes of the video, also when you use it for normal vloging? I heard the wire gets a bit overstretched already when you use it without extension and rotate the go pro. Wanted to ask how this is with extension. Would like to use the go pro for insta stories or reels from time to time but as the volta doesn’t come with a ballhead I‘m searching for a suitable solution for this
I thought about doing more GoPro gear review videos. Then I found your channel & subscribed. I’ll just watch you do them instead and spend my spare time doing Mexico resort videos.
Does the volta always have the tiny blue light by the timer icon on?
You can turn off the light by pressing the Bluetooth button.
If you charge the Volta while the GoPro is connected does it charge the GoPro internal battery or do you have to take it out to charge it?
If the volta is dead then it only charges the volta. But if there is charge left in the volta before you attach the wall plug then both get charged.

why do you need a remote on it when the camera is 2 inches away?
So the remote works even when you disconnect the camera at a good distance, then you can reconnect and carry on charging your gopro

Which one do you prefer between this or a gimbal ?
Great question, I rarely use a gimbal with the gopro 10. But it really depends what I'm shooting.
If its a vlog I would always go for the volta, if I'm shooting something cinematic or at night hen I would go for a gimbal.
Hypersmooth works quite well for most situations and reelsteady 2.0 is so good now!

The adaption to solve the axis issue is very clever! I like it! The set up with the cage is exactly what I’m aiming for as a vlogging set up. It’s definitely going on my shopping list

Is volta weather proof?
Yes, it can be used in all bad weather and even with the cable plugged in provided you are using the official replacement door. Just don't submerge in water.
I love the way it puts my GoPro in a reboot loop when I try to sync content on the Quik App now ☹️ Or the way it stops controlling the GoPro until I hard reset it. Other than that it’s another great paperweight from this brand 😞

Yes it’s a problem with firmware version 1.4 and using Bluetooth to connect to Volta in order to use the Media Mod. Bricks your GoPro and causes Green Screen Reset Loop, can be fixed (temporarily until you connect Volta again) by doing a factory reset via the micro SD Card. GoPro need to issue further update to the firmware once they accept there is a fault.
@@AboutFocusTV anyluck w/ v1.72? That release is specifically supposed to address the green screen problem. I've got the Volta in my cart but my hesitation is that specific issue👀
