@@nilsperry7736 Oven temperature too hot. Your top set faster than the inside, hence when the cake rise up, it cracks the top. Try lowering your oven temperature a bit n see how it goes.

@@nilsperry7736 Hi, You need to know your oven well as it helps when you do baking. Every oven is different. Some gets hot fast n high even at the temperature of the recipe. So you need to tweak the recipe temperature to your oven temperature. From what you said 110°C is too low n 150°C is too high. Try it at 125°C or 130°C. Hope this helps you. Hola José!!! Generalmente se calienta el horno a 180 grados, antes de meter el bizcochuelo se baja el calor casi al mínimo y se deja 30 minutos para que se cocine, esto va a depender de tu horno, puede ser menos o más el tiempo de cocción.

I just baked this! After a failed effort following a different recipe last night. I followed the insturctions religiously with the following differences - I used regular flour (didn't have cake four) + i used 8.5in spring form (lower in hight). It looks amazing!!!! I just took it out of the oven and it looks and smells fantastic. Will report on the taste and look once it's out of the form.

I followed this recipe very accurately and poured batter into a 6 inch pan. Mine didnt rise as high as yours. It was only around 2 inches tall. The flavor is good though!
May I ask what type of oven you used? Does it have both upper and lower heat settings? My oven has only the lower setting. I am afraid my cake won't get brown and won't get beyond 2" high. Please tell me the cake flour 10g n corn starch 20g is correct for 3 eggs / 180g cream cheese recipe. If convert to 4.2 eggs / 250g cream cheese recipe, the cake flour will be 13.9g n corn starch 27.9g. However, many other recipes is having 60g cake flour n 20g corn flour for 250g cream cheese recipe. Why there is such huge difference in flour portion?

@@greenpigment In some cases, it could be the oven that was not making the cake cook all the way through. I would probably keep it in there longer if it was not quite done after the suggested time. But if it was really uncooked inside still, you'll probably need to increase the baking temperature just a bit.
@@greenpigment did you cook it for long enough? Usually a cheesecake cooks in an hour depending on the settings. In this video, it says to cook for 30 mins on 150C and then 70 mins on 110C. It’s important you convert the degree to F if you’re using Fahrenheit. Hope this helps.

MoLaLa Cook I just made the Japanese cheesecake today for the first time with the ratio to 4 eggs pan size 18cm. My oven is small, so I set 150C for 20 mins because it turned brown on top very quickly and then 110C for 60 mins. After turning off the oven, I took out the water bath and set the cake in the oven for another 30 mins. It turned out perfect and tasted so good. Gave half of it to my friends and they totally loved it.
Please please can you give us the EXACT ingredients for an 8inch pan and also how much the temp/time should be increased for a fan oven and should it be keep in top middle or bottom of oven. I CANT FIND ANYWHERE 8inch recipe! Is it a Sin to make it in 8inch?!

Hi iam struggling to find corn starch from our supermarkets. To substitute corn starch, is it better to use potato starch or use rice flour? You made a note that corn starch is to reduce gluten, rice flour is gluten free. Do you think mixing rice and plain flour together get the same result? Thanks

Try baking it in a bigger tin, 6-inch square or 7-inch round to cook it thoroughly.
