Diluc is remarkably close to having eyes like Childe, but there's still that tiny speck of a reflection. I assumed this was to show their humanity and morality and that because Childe has no reflections, that he has a twisted mind while Diluc deals with dark matters but still holds some sanity within him.
I heard somewhere that the delusion does not hurt the users body as long as their hearts are tainted with anger or something else and that’s why dilute was able to use his delusion without any consequences because he was angry at the knights of favonius or something Childe only becames weak or suffers damage when he uses his abyssal transformation which combines his vision and delusion and since vision and delusions are kinda the opposite of each other it damages him
that actually makes a lot of sense since the chinese translation of delusion is 邪眼 (xié yǎn) which means "evil eye". if someone was driven by negative emotions while wielding a delusion, then it would make sense if they will not be hurt by it.
Diluc does fidget with his right hand a lot, which is the hand he wore his delusion on. I heard a theory that Diluc does still have some pain/discomfort in his hand from his time with the delusion, he just tries not to show it because that’s just how Diluc is. I like to think the toll a delusion takes on you depends on what you do with it. When we see Tartaglia severely hurt or weakened it’s after he uses his Foul Legacy transformation. A transformation like that would take much more energy than just using pyro, hence why Tartaglia gets hurt far more than Diluc.
Omg imagine we get a more grown up teucer as a playable archer character when we get to shnezhnaya. Cus canonically, a few years would have passed until we get there. He could have the teen male body type, and a more detailed design.
Childe in melee stance(foul legacy) and Abbys herald have similar style of combat. Maybe he was trained by an Abbys herald during his childhood. Edit: just my opinion.
Yea I actually told this already. Remember when i said "If it makes me stronger, I'll take it. Vision? Great. Delusion? Don't mind if I do. Heretical teachings from the Abyss? Sign me up."
I'd like to point out that when he was young he used to very indecisive before he trained. It can be read in his story in game. Guess stutterer is quite accurate
5:13 Nope. Childe didn't meet Skirk in the forest, he fell into the Abyss FIRST, and THEN that's where he met Skirk, who taught him how to fight so he can pass through the Abyss - meaning he taught him to fight so he can survive in the Abyss and eventually get out. "Pursued by bears and wolf packs, he lost his footing and fell into a bottomless crack in the earth's surface. There, he witnessed the endless possibilities of another ancient world. There, he would meet a mysterious swordswoman..." "In those three months, the swordswoman taught Tartaglia how to pass through the Abyss unhindered... " This is why even though he trained for three months, he was only actually gone for three days. He didn't go off to a fantasy land where he then meets a woman who gives him candy and promises to make him a king - nope. Far from it. He was trapped in a "land of endless darkness" and during his time there under Skirk's tutelage, Childe was able to obtain his Foul Legacy form. The Shard of Foul Legacy you get from weekly battles in his domain states: "It is stained with a profound color that is not of this world, no doubt due to the land of endless darkness that the young boy saw with his own two eyes." So it is widely believed that Childe's three forms as the weekly boss correspond to the three different types of power he has: His Hydro Vision, his Electro Delusion, and Foul Legacy, a power he obtained from the Abyss. Note how his melee stance attacks are similar to the Abyss Heral's attacks.
@@nightcrawler9307 He calls Skirk his master in his profile voicelines. "It's been years since I last saw my master. I should hope that next we meet, I'll at least be able to force her to use both hands to beat me..."
@@nightcrawler9307 it can't be. Because the the texts always saying that it was a girl. And what if you choose Lumine as the Traveler and Aether is the Abyss Prince? It doesn't change. "He's Describe to be the tallest among the heroes who faught the Trojan war" This is the reason why Childe is the tallest character. Many people says that Zhongli and Kaeya is the tallest but I prefer Childe
The only reason i knew about his origin name was fate and archer emiya His fake noble phantasm was named rho aias (ajax' shield) and made me read about ajax in greek mythology And they are both archers using dual blades and they both are originally carrot heads But childe's refrences to ajax are a lot more than only his name and his brother's name and that maked him special
Ok so lemme get this straight So basically Monsdadt: Germany Liyue: China Sneznaya: Russia Inazuma: Japan Fontaine: France Sumeriu: India Natlan: South America Khaenriah: ??? That’s all I got basically any other regions?
Pretty sure Snezhnaya is inspired from Russia, Childe and Tsaritsa is a russian name and the fatui diplomats all have russian names (like tonya, nadia and mikhael)
Childe is no longer an enemy to the Traveler since he/she took care about his little brother And he said he wants to return to Snezhnaya, so they are friends right now and Signora isn’t, she’s still gonna get whooped like Childe :)
You forgot one major detail about Cyclops from the greek mythology. (I know it's late but still) Cyclops lived to fight battles and challenge strong opponents, they liked to do battle to test their strength because of cyclops race being one of the strongest in the universe. Which explains Childe's behaviour and him always eager to fight new battles or lusting for combat. Anyway that's all I can remember about Cyclops for now. Thanks for putting so much effort into your content, I know, I shouldn't say such thing but you are my leg work, I like reading but I'm a lazy bum so prefer skipping it and perceive the lore via chamnels like yours who explain it with much more detail.
most likely, this theory has sense... i wouldn't be surprised if it turns out this way, to be honest...😅 i wonder what would happen if my sibling meets Childe somewhere in Teyvat *nowadays* the way they saw Dainsleif teaming up with us, though... or more basically, i'm wondering... which side Tartaglia would take...?
I thought I was the only person who knows that Childe's Japanese VA is also Bokuto! I am a huge Haikyuu fan and that bonus fact made me so happy. On another note Child sure is an interesting and complex character in my opinion. I also find it really interesting how Childe's brother, Teucer, is named after Ajax's half-brother from the Trojan War. At least that's what I was able to interpret from the information
Ah so when are we having a Archer Teucer Playable Character xD Now I'd no longer be surprised if that happend by the time we got to Snezhnaya if Teucer had gotten a vision Great vid btw, explains Childe's lore well
I came here because I want to know more about Childe. He's seriously one misterious Fatui Harbinger (I mean all of them are mistery and have good background stories like Signora). So looking forward to his story one day
The fact you mention Italian comedy made me think of this meme where Fatui means stupid (I forgot which language was it) and so someone edited the image from "Tartaglia the 11th Fatui Harbinger" as "Tartaglia the 11th Stupid Harbinger".
I always wonder about those with Hydro visions. Like pyro vision are granted to those with closeness to family (the story line preview also states something like “woven in the womb” relating to family) and anemo vision holders are those who have lost something or are just plain traumatized. But hydro always kind of confuses me. It’s like they hide their true ambitions.
Hm, im pretty sure pyro is more of a "burning passion" thing, u know like going forward and having this... passionate feeling as main trait. Like bennet, xinyan... amber too, you know how she cant give up either and is really passionate towards gliding... There are exveptions, but most pyro u can describe as burnimg passion. As for hydro... lets look. We have barbara, kokomi, id say, compassion. Then theres xinqui, compassion too, but its kinda hidden trait, for outsiders lookibg at him. Then we have a problem, mona and childe... childe could be compassion too, him having different traits and both delusion and vision makes semse. Mona? Uh... hmm... idk? Hard to say tho... But it seems its compassion. Or flexible, changing, like water is...
@@sollumi3014 not compasion compasion alone. All hydro people are kinda ones who hides their intentions or simply confused in 2 paths. Stuck in a way. You see nilou doesn't know what she wants in her life, she lives for the happiness, her personality also resonates with flower archo who hid her true motives of suporting king deshret under the surface, for kokomi again she is a war leading mastermind but she always exhausts herself and internally her inner wish is to get rid of it or something. Barbara again doesn't know if she is a sister or a singer/idol who just wants to heal. She have problems with refusing people she "doesn't admit". Xingqui also doesn't admits whether he wants to read books or do acts of chivalry. Hydro people always seems to carry 2 paths side by side and reluctant to exposed

I have a theory about how Crepus got his Delusion. I think he was the Tartaglia before Childe was. Crepus, Eleventh of the Fatui Harbingers. I think he joined after he failed the Ordo entrance exams, but had to leave to take care of his young son, Diluc. He kept the Delusion, though. Then, Pulcinella noticed Childe, and decided to have him replace the lost Crepus. And since Crepus is dead... well, add that to the constantly growing list of Childe Death Flags.
His one eye seems to have more to do with the Abyss than with his Greek mythology references. When he activates his delusion you can tell one of his eyes is missing. A 'delusion' is delirious illusion. It's not being able to see what's really there. Notice how everything that is related to the harbingers is related to losing one eye. When Diluc uses his father's delusion in the web comic he also 'loses' one eye. La Signora has one of her eyes covered in her 'ice' form, because she's using her ice delusion to contain her fire powers. Abyss creatures have no eyes (or a face for that matter). The pattern is everywhere to be seen.
Forget Childe, I wonder if Tonia , Anthon or Teucer (Maybe a male kid design, if he a gets a vision ofc, kinda like Klee, Diona, Qiqi, etc...) will be playable characters lol
Another cool detail is Childe eyes doesn't glow (like any other character, you can see it up close when you scroll forward and compare it to other characters
You say that childe needed to travel through the abyss in order to get out of snezhnaya. But teucer went to liyue too, so I highly doubt that he HAD to go through the abyss
How he actually became the dangerous harbringer in the Fatui is because he fell into a hole at the 14 and found a mysterious swordswoman/swordsman there that taught him.
SPOILER ALERT . . . . . . . . The Fatui Harbinger will be divided by 2, there will be a civil clash since Pulcinella will use Childe to kill or overthow Tsaritsa Cyro Archon... There is no data yet who will group who... but the thier ARC will still be FAR from the Lore... this theory derived from the Manga of Genshin and the probability this will happen is 80% unless Mihoyo will suddenly make Dottore II to be loyal to Tsaritsa by NO, Dottore is also possible traitor.. welp he did killed Diluc's dad, his a murderer and a psycho who experiment living things and he' currently loyal to Pulcinella...
I had a theory about the 3 day experience:childe once says that 1 day in khanriah is a few minute in rest of tevyat so probably he run to khanriah and train with the mysterious swordsman
I know it may be a little late but I'd like to kindly point out that there is no canon Traveler 😅 Firstly, I don't wanna sound rude I am just going to point out a fact and also I'm sorry in advance if this is long but anyways if we come to the point: Mihoyo/Hoyoverse employees have told this in an interview that both Travelers are canon since we, players get a chance to choose either of them. And one of them showing up more in commercials, trailers, teasers etc. doesn't mean they are canon. Because those kind of stuff only have promotional purposes it does NOT tell which Traveler is canon. Additionally, the game gives you the chance to choose either of them and it changes the cutscenes, dialogues, referrings in the stories etc. So, if we are able to choose either of the twins and the game resolves around this choice of us that would NOT mean one of the choices is right just because of the promotional stuff that is completely unrelated at this point. And lastly, apart from this, in Childe's story, whether you choose Lumine or Aether "The Swordswoman" is ALWAYS referred as a woman unlike other content that changes depending on the twin, which means that "The Swordswoman" is NOT the Abyss Twin but a whole another person. Also, she is called Skirk in Childe's story and that means she is probably a future character or maybe just a background character (tho I hope she's a future playable char lol) Anyway, that's all I gotta say. I hope I was able to explain it and sorry if this was too long. Again I am not trying to be rude or toxic I just want to correct this misunderstanding of one of the Travelers being canon. Because both of them are canon at this point. And thank you if you read all this far. Have a nice day/night!
Fun fact We call him Tartaglia or "childe" because his real name, Ajax, is actually a brand of cleaning agent. So to avoid a possible lawsuit, the game calls him childe or tartaglia instead and only refer to him as Ajax indiscriminately. Another fun fact, you think this is a lie, but half of this is true, while the rest are not. try and guess which one is which :)
Ajax is a name of cleaning thing, but its just a coincidense. Im pretty sure the "to avoid lawsuit" is a lie... or, just your speculation to be precise since you cant lie abt sth that youre nit sure about... though its pretty much impossible it is a reason sl i guess
I think it’s bullshit and his name Ajax was definitely taken from Greek mythology, a tall, red-headed warrior who used dual weapons and bow and was fighting with his brother Teucer and died in battle . Name ajax came from this mythology
About number 3, I don't think that's what necessarily happened, but since there isn't much detail about that event I guess your interpretation works as well. essay incoming lmao . From what I can tell, Childe did get lost in the forest, but was then pursued by bears and wolves, and in the midst of running away he physically fell into some bottomless crack in the earth. Not sure what exactly this crack is, but I would assume it is a gateway to the abyss. In the abyss, he met a mysterious swordswoman (Skirk) who mentored him for what felt like 3 months there. I'm not sure what it means by 'pass through the Abyss unhindered', maybe it's referring to her teaching him how to fight against monsters that might dwell in the Abyss? Again, not sure how he got back to the real world, and I guess this is where the interpretation of him having been in the forest all along came from since his family found him in the forest. Maybe he was sent back to the real world from the Abyss in some way, or maybe your interpretation is more accurate, but that's what I think happened in his 4th story xd
Yours might be more accurate because Childe getting lost in the forest could have been a result of him being chased and not just getting suddenly lost 😲
"Pass through abbyss unhindered" probably meams he was tought how to escale the abbyss to teyvat alone, and with no harm to himself. In other words, how to defeat any enemy and esxape from the worst area he could be in. Sl i believe he just escaped? Abbyss probablt has many entrances, to be homest that plave is mysterious enough that that probably was the case
Another fact is actually Tartaglia is mispronounced by everyone because we call him in 'english language'. But in Italian is TartaGLia with the italian pronounciation. (almost a "Y" in english, so it is: TartaYa)
I call it the "Tagliatelle" principle. The g is silent. I always flip when people say TartaGlia... why tho. But don't get me started with Scaramouche 😅
@@Kitsu97 for example with La SiGNora they understood and they pronounced with the italian pronunciation, so I dunno why they think "GL" is like "GLue" and not like "You". (Indeed "TartaGLia" with the italian and correct pronunciation rhymes with "SnezhnaYa")
Since he was somewhat related to the abyss I wonder what part he's going to play when it's time to face the abyss twin or if he's even going to take part in that at all, since yes he is a harbinger but also he seems to be a fighter with a mission where his real loyalties lie in the people he holds dear instead of in the organization he's currently in, also in his story quest he mentioned that the fatui and the abyss are enemies, plot thickens big time
The "Thing Missing #3 is more closely connected to the myth of Cu Chulainn (and his master Skirk probably being being Scáthach, who is also refered to in some of Mondstadt's weapons' lore); The Cu Chulainn reference also makes sense with Cu Chulainn's monstruous form being similar to Childe's transformation. I heard somewhere that the delusion does not hurt the users body as long as their hearts are tainted with anger or something else and that’s why dilute was able to use his delusion without any consequences because he was angry at the knights of favonius or something
Childe only becames weak or suffers damage when he uses his abyssal transformation which combines his vision and delusion and since vision and delusions are kinda the opposite of each other it damages him
that actually makes a lot of sense since the chinese translation of delusion is 邪眼 (xié yǎn) which means "evil eye". if someone was driven by negative emotions while wielding a delusion, then it would make sense if they will not be hurt by it.
*d i l u t e*

That would be pretty awesome.

Childe in melee stance(foul legacy) and Abbys herald have similar style of combat. Maybe he was trained by an Abbys herald during his childhood.
Edit: just my opinion.
Yea I actually told this already.

@@tartagliatheeleventhfatuih5864 I just want to say that you are my first 5 star and I don't have anything yet to rise you properly my Childe.
Also he was taught by Skirk a swordswoman and his Abyss teacher
I actually think that his Abyss Teacher was either Aether or Lumine (depending on your choice).
@@SometimesSaid no
I'd like to point out that when he was young he used to very indecisive before he trained. It can be read in his story in game. Guess stutterer is quite accurate
Yeah, I think that his Harbinger name and that is means stutterer is because of his original personality that he had before the Abyss.
There, he would meet a mysterious swordswoman..."
"In those three months, the swordswoman taught Tartaglia how to pass through the Abyss unhindered... "
This is why even though he trained for three months, he was only actually gone for three days. He didn't go off to a fantasy land where he then meets a woman who gives him candy and promises to make him a king - nope. Far from it. He was trapped in a "land of endless darkness" and during his time there under Skirk's tutelage, Childe was able to obtain his Foul Legacy form. The Shard of Foul Legacy you get from weekly battles in his domain states:
"It is stained with a profound color that is not of this world, no doubt due to the land of endless darkness that the young boy saw with his own two eyes."
So it is widely believed that Childe's three forms as the weekly boss correspond to the three different types of power he has: His Hydro Vision, his Electro Delusion, and Foul Legacy, a power he obtained from the Abyss. Note how his melee stance attacks are similar to the Abyss Heral's attacks.
Why do I get the feeling that skirk is actually the sibling
@@nightcrawler9307 So far, only Tonia, Teucer and Anthon have been named among Childe's siblings, who are all younger than him.

I always wonder about those with Hydro visions.

But hydro always kind of confuses me. It’s like they hide their true ambitions.

@@nicmagtaan1132 oh.
i kinda wanna believe that the "swordswoman from the abyss" is lumine, given aether is the canon traveller.
I know it may be a little late but I'd like to kindly point out that there is no canon Traveler 😅
Firstly, I don't wanna sound rude I am just going to point out a fact and also I'm sorry in advance if this is long but anyways if we come to the point:
Mihoyo/Hoyoverse employees have told this in an interview that both Travelers are canon since we, players get a chance to choose either of them.
Also, she is called Skirk in Childe's story and that means she is probably a future character or maybe just a background character (tho I hope she's a future playable char lol)
Anyway, that's all I gotta say. I hope I was able to explain it and sorry if this was too long. Again I am not trying to be rude or toxic I just want to correct this misunderstanding of one of the Travelers being canon. Because both of them are canon at this point. And thank you if you read all this far. Have a nice day/night!
The Tortuga part caught me off guard. XD
Fun fact
We call him Tartaglia or "childe" because his real name, Ajax, is actually a brand of cleaning agent.
About number 3, I don't think that's what necessarily happened, but since there isn't much detail about that event I guess your interpretation works as well.
essay incoming lmao
.
Nice video also love the re:zero’s ost in the background
