This video is literally SO helpful. Thank you!! I didn’t realize that the low birth weight insert was already INSIDE the seat part. I thought the low birth weight insert was the extra grey pad that came with the car seat. It makes SO much sense why my baby has hated her car seat. Poor baby was probably so uncomfortable with all that padding. I can’t wait to see how she likes it now that I removed the insert! This video was 100x more helpful than any instructions from Nuna!! Thanks again!
Fantastic demo. The doll really helps! Sending this link to the new parents with this carseat they will be using with adaptors for their Stokke YoYo3 stroller! It's a win-win!
So to be clear on the insert, is it just the pillow part that is supposed to come out once baby reaches 11 lbs but still leaving the insert in? Or is the entire piece of the insert supposed to come off? This is what I’m trying to figure out with my 4 month old. I basically took the whole insert out so she can be more comfortable but I feel like she sinks into the car seat more. lol help 😂
The little pillow inside the insert is only up to 11lbs. The rest of the body pillow can be used until the baby looks too squished. I know, the manual isn't super clear and it's different depending which Pipa model you have.
It makes it easier to remove them from the car seat, and when you put them back in, there is plenty of space to get them buckled back in. They grow pretty fast the first year, so you'll constantly have to adjust it anyway. It's just my recommendation. As long as the child is put in the car seat properly, you can do what is best for you.
Unfortunately, no easy tips. Just follow the cleaning instructions so material won't be destroyed in the washer. Use only mild detergent, water and a soft cloth to clean the infant carrier shell, handle and harness straps. Air dry. To clean the buckle: rinse using warm water. DO NOT use any soaps, solvents or lubricants. Using anything other than water can cause the buckle to malfunction. Air dry.

I’m not used to commenting on videos but for this one I had to. Thank you very much as this is literally what they call a “life saver”
Wow, thank you
So helpful thank you! I’ve been using it the wrong way this whole time! 😅
Glad this helped
SO HELPFUL. I learned so much about this car seat after having it for 2 months!
Glad this helped!
you need to be paid by NUNA - way better than the manual that came with the product. THANK YOU SIR!
Much appreciated, glad this helped!
I needed this video. That headrest this.... clutch.i was trying to figure out how to fill in the gap mine was too high.
Glad it helped!
Do you use the shoulder pads with newborns? I felt like they were preventing me from tightening and crush the face
Shoulder pads are optional. I recommend removing them for newborns, especially.

Thank you for the details. But why would I need to loosen straps to take baby out? I just undo the red button and I can get her in and out fine.

Do you recommend using the shoulder pads to keep the babies head straight?
No, the shoulder pads are strictly for comfort and are not required.
Any tips on how I clean the fabric on this car seat?

How old and how many pounds is the little one? The headrest doesn't come out, but it does slide up higher as baby gets taller.
