While this line was most likely meant to reference solidus, it can still relate to king bradley. Biblically speaking, God created man in his image (shape, size, number of limbs, etc.) Fitting since bradley's "dad" has quite the god complex and was not afraid to use his children as pawns
Honestly, all the lyrics apply to both combatants. That's the beauty of Yates' commissioned tracks; the music can be from the perspective of either two combatants of any matchup. For example, "Reverse Rose" speaks to how both Eobard and Zamasu are hatefully obsessed with an iconic hero who looks like them and want to wreak havoc on the world with their cosmic power, "Exo" describes how both Wolverine and Raiden are government-made killing machines destined to fight under endless bloodlust, "Infection Perfection" is about how both Ultron and Sigma are omnicidal megalomaniac AI robots who infect other machines to conquer the world, etc.
Here, "Sins of Liberty" applies to both Wrath and Solidus. Both were artificially grown from birth to be top-tier super warriors above any regular man (Homonculus and super-soldier clone) by secret Illuminati-type leaders from behind the scenes (Father and Major Zero/Cipher) and were entrusted to manage a mighty nation as puppet figureheads (Fuhrer of Amestris and President of America). Both ruthlessly chase their end goals strategically and cautiously to bring about massive global change (for better or worse), both of them masterminded world-changing conflicts that massively affected their worlds' lore (Ishvalian Civil War and Shadow Moses Incident), both have a deep skill and devotion to swordfighting, and both were killed in their final battles by a man created by the very same conflicts they fought in (Scar being created by Bradley starting the Ishval war, and Raiden being created by Solidus' machinations in the Liberian war, with both Scar and Raiden going on to avenge these horrific crimes). Honestly, they're more alike than most folks realize, and I truly hope we get to see this fight in the future.

Ngl this is unrelated, but I also just realized that this track could actually also fit the Deadliest Warrior episode "George Washington VS Napoleon Bonaparte", especially with the lyrics referencing men who built empires and were determined to remake the world against all odds (which is fitting since Solidus actually admires and references Washington canonically).
"I built this empire in the sand with my own two hands!" - Washington helping to found and lead the nation of America and Napoleon forever changing France's worldwide reputation.
"I was made for this war!" - Both were seemingly born great generals and military leaders, and are remembered for it more than anything.
"Sacrificing whatever it takes to remake this world into something more!" - Both were unsatisfied with how their nations were and decided to take up the title of army generals to change the world.
"Follow me, and I'll lead you to utopia..." - Both became known as legendary leaders whose nations would be forever changed by their times.

@@freemanthedelphox6249 I would rather say Collective Conscious is Raidens song on what he thinks of Armstrong before the second half of the fight where he shows his true intentions. Armstrong abhors the idea of the government controlling the people like pawns and wants the power to the people, the opposite of Collective Conscious message. I would say It has to be this way is still Raiden's song, but Armstrong is unique as he technically has no song for himself.

Oh, definitely. The concept behind HF Blades like the one Solidus wields is to destabilize and cut through virtually anything, but that's basically Bradley's whole deal with *any* weapon.
Plus his reaction speed is off the charts, cutting clean through the shot from a tank mid-flight without even making it look hard.
@@Spiritnick Eh, Solidus scales to the other Snakes and MGS2 Raiden dodging railgun fire (Mach 82 - 165) and he himself shot out the sensor on a RAY without even turning to look at it. Bradley's best speed feat, blitzing a group of soldiers, is only about Mach 6 in comparison, meaning Solidus is easily over 14 times faster. Enough to just blitz and be done with it.
We also know the Ultimate Eye isn't infallible; just look at Buccaneer's sneak shot from right behind Fu's body. But even then, the Ultimate Eye's precogniton relies on extremely-subtle observations of enemy movements. The thing is, this _does NOT_ work on Solidus due to his exo-suit. Lesser suits, such as Raiden's Skull Suit, were able to throw off the eyes of Vamp, who had mastered the ability to predict exactly where a bullet would shoot by reading the muscle movements of opponents, which is incredibly similar to the Ultimate Eye. Otacon himself verified that Solidus' suit is essentially an upgraded variant of Raiden's pressure suit (going as far as to say the suits are analogous to "brothers"), so it's guaranteed that Solidus' exo-suit would also throw off the Ultimate Eye the same way Raiden's suit countered Vamp's muscle-reading. Considering Solidus is already over a dozen times faster, there's no way Bradley can keep up before Solidus' HF blades cleave him in two.

@@blaster.m1943 That's not even all of it, either. Bradley only had regeneration in the non-canon 2003 anime (where he was mistakenly changed to Pride rather than Wrath). In the updated 2009 reboot and original manga, it is a _PLOT POINT_ that Bradley's injected Philosopher's Stone ended up having only one soul (rather than the many souls in each of the other Homunculi like Lust or Envy), which means he actually _doesn't_ have regeneration.
In fact, it was expressly stated that Buccaneer stabbing Bradley clean through his chest was a fatal injury that would've killed him regardless of whether or not he beat Scar (Scar won anyway, but that's besides the point). So there's really nothing keeping Bradley alive once Solidus' HF Blades chop through his regular swords and then cut through his body.
If anything, it's actually *_SOLIDUS_* who resists Bradley's swords, not the other way around. Because the thing is, Solidus' exo-suit is a PERFECT counter to Bradley's swords as well. We know this because in the final battle of MGS2, Raiden _ALSO_ uses a High-Frequency sword and yet is unable to immediately chop Solidus in half once he lands a strike. This is _NOT_ a gameplay mechanic, either, because the Codec conversations in that fight (with Otacon and the Patriots' AI) _directly explain_ that Solidus' exo-suit automatically contracts in specific ways that diffuse and minimize the damage from an HF-blade slice (and Raiden only wins by gradually wearing down specific weak spots with his HF-blade). Let me reiterate that: *Solidus' exo-suit canonically resists the cutting damage from futuristic High-Frequency swords that themselves have far superior cutting power to Bradley's regular-ass swords.*
So, Bradley trying to use his swords to cut through Solidus' anti-HF exoskeleton suit would literally be like trying to use a wooden stick to pierce through a chainsaw-proof wall - completely ineffective. There's no way Bradley is cutting through that when Solidus has everything he needs to cancel out Bradley's defenses and cut him down (given that Solidus' brand of exo-suit has fooled precognition similar to the Ultimate Eye and Bradley canonically has nothing to survive being bisected by two HF swords).

Honestly, Solidus probably takes it. Strength, speed and higher tech.
*_Speed:_* Solidus scales to Raiden reacting to FOUR bullets at once; Mach 82. Not even their best speed considering that same calc measured MGS2 Raiden dodging Fortune's railgun at Mach 230. Even going with more conservative calcs, Ocelot and Big Boss reacted to Volgin's lightning at Mach +17, backed up by Old Snake (considerably weaker in MGS4 than any of the other Snakes were in MGS2) dodging those railgun shots calculated to be Mach +30. Bradley's best-known speed feat is when he blitzed four soldiers before they even knew he attacked, which is only about Mach 6 at best. Solidus ought to be nearly *_3 times faster at bare minimum,_** and likely well over a dozen times faster logically.* Bradley is one of FMA's fastest characters, but IIRC he's got nothing putting him at the level of MGS2 Raiden and the Snakes.
*_Strength:_* We also know the Ultimate Eye is fallible since it couldn't discern Buccaneer launching a stabbing sneak attack from right behind Fu's body (so it's not like Wrath could reliably use it to bridge the difference in speed), Solidus likely would also have the durability advantage. He scales to a young Big Boss who survived an absolute ass-whooping by Volgin and later even defeated him, the same Volgin with an electric charge outputting 23.5 tons (post should be at the bottom of the page since the link directly to the calc doesn't work here for some reason). Even with scaling to Gluttony and the Greeds, I don't think Wrath has anything quite on that level; the closest I know of is Greed stopping a moving truck with about 16 tons in comparison. Note that while Wrath is obviously superior to Greed, the same can be said for Solidus to Naked Snake given that Solidus' exo-suit armor and weapons clearly mark him as above MGS3 Naked Snake (and that was when Big Boss was still a newbie anyway), so Solidus takes that edge as well.
Furthermore, Solidus scales to Raiden stopping Outer Haven, a feat worth 157 tons. Granted, Raiden was in his MGS4 body, but Solidus also ought to be comparable to Vamp who matched MGS4 Raiden (not to mention that Raiden's victory over Solidus in MGS2 was more skill than strength anyway, which is especially seen in how Raiden actually struck down Solidus). Even if we lowball it and divide the number by 4, Solidus' strength is still probably around 37 tons. We also know this isn't an outlier for the Snakes/ since Big Boss later caught the Coccoon and pushed it back up (Big Boss being able to lift the several thousand tons described here may seem a bit fishy, but even 0.01% of that feat comes out to at least 32 tons). Either way, Solidus is packing greater strength, along with his snake arms providing longer range and more versatile options.
*_Exo-suit > Ultimate Eye:_* I should also note that despite the Ultimate Eye being able to discern an opponent's strengths and weaknesses, I highly doubt it would work well on Solidus given how advanced his exo-suit's futurustic technology is compared to the world of FMA. That's not all, though: lesser exoskeleton suits, like MGS2 Raiden's Skull Suit, have fooled the eyes of Vamp, who had a similar precognition ability to the Ultimate Eye by mastering the skill of predicting exactly what his foes would do based purely on reading their muscle movement like a map (which is a lot like the Ultimate Eye deducing attacks and strengths through extremely subtle movement observation).
Furthermore, Otacon (a verified MGS tech genius who had a hand in designing REX and hacking top-secret organizations) confirmed that Solidus' exo-suit is basically a superior, upgraded variant of Raiden's Skull Suit that has the same or even better properties (Otacon going as far as to say that their suits are essentially "brothers"). It's a good bet that Bradley's Ultimate Eye wouldn't be able to keep up with Solidus' movements the same way Vamp was tripped up by Raiden's suit. And again, Solidus is already several times faster to boot, so the Ultimate Eye is more or less dead weight.
Finally, factoring Solidus' High-Frequency blades which can easily slice through all five of Bradley's normal swords (and his body), the fact that the Snakes are renowned for defeating opponents with greater experience than themselves (Volgin, Gray Fox, Ocelot, etc) and the higher durability provided by Solidus' exo-suit, and the prideful President emerges victorious over the furious Fuhrer.
So the Metal Gear franchise is overpowered

@@MidnightPhantom Well, there's Raiden hopscotching missiles at Mach 1,685 in an inferior cyborg body, Bladewolf and Sam smashing through giant mechas capable of downing skyscrapers, and Armstrong being stronger than a newer Metal Gear that can output _KILOTONS_ worth of TNT and endure a sword that literally chops through molecules.
So yeah, it includes a lot.
@@MidnightPhantom Just to be clear, Solidus (and all the Snakes, for that matter) wouldn't scale to anything Raiden does in Rising since his cyborg body there is far superior to Raiden's body during MGS2 and even MGS4. Still a sign that Metal Gear is higher up the totem pole of power than most folks might realize, though.

Color me impressed, I thought my TH-cam had glitched out when I saw Sins of Liberty in my notifications.
Now Sins of Liberty is a song that I really like on its own and that I really didn't think would get a vocal version. However I must admit I quite like this vocal version. Perhaps not as much as the non-vocal one, but it's definitely good nonetheless.
The vocals during the main chorus in particular really fit it without sounding wrong. I've only realized recently by listening to other independent music artists, but lyrical versions of songs are *tough* to do, even more so to make the lyrics fit with the song's atmosphere. So I definitely appreciate how it's done here.
The lyrics give a whole new side of the song that's much more "active" and "changing" than the original one that was very "inline", sounding pretty similar (in a good way. Like I said, I really liked Sins of Liberty's original version so that's not a con) overall. But it still keeps the same overall theme that the original had. It's the perfect balance to get a different version that changes from the OG enough to feel unique but still stays true enough to it that it's appreciable by everyone.
As for the lyrics themselves, well I'm no lyric analysist (neither am I a music analysist as I've got absolutely 0 education in music, but hey, here I am), but they sound great and most definitely fit both characters and their universes, which I approve of.
Also, the ending (4:01-4:43) is absolutely *insane* with how good it's done. I may prefer the OG overall but that part most definitely sounds better with lyrics.

God, I really love this one. The track feels a lot more complete with the lyrics, and they match the characters extremely well.
I personally felt like it's a reference to Warhammer of Doom, another commissioned track.

At first I wasn't sure how one of my personal favorite commission tracks would go with vocals, but then I got Infection Perfection vibes from this so yeah now it's awesome.
I was not expecting this one to get a vocal version at all, amazing work Brandon. This was one of my favorite tracks already and the vocals are really well complimenting
The way the lyrics sound heavily reminds me of Ultron vs Sigma. I LOVE IT. Plus the original track is probably one of the best you have released.

How I see this fight starting is
We pan into the meeting room that the chosen few that will remain upon the Philosopher’s stone with Solidus being among them
Solidus: sorry this is a little much to take in at once, death of everyone in Amestres philosopher stones, homunculi, and everything is just a little much to take in at once

Solidus: anyways why did you even recruit me for this council
Bradley: well, we need someone to replace a man named Raven who went missing at Briggs a week ago he’s most likely dead
Solidus: some immortality project, are you even sure that this “Father” character will even give us a piece of his immortality
*everyone in the meeting room pipe up saying that they were too important to let die
Solidus: sorry for striking a nerve
Bradley: *clears throat* getting back on track we need you because of a few qualifications, one are your connections to Solid Snake and Raiden, they have teamed up with Edward Elric and his group of rebels and since you have connections to both of them you could prove useful, and there is also a group of radical idealists called the patriots trying to overthrow me and everything Father has been doing these past 150 years so they must be stopped and with your expertise in conspiracies you could also prove useful there
Solidus: ok I can do that
Bradley: yes, you better learn everything you can about the patriots
*Bradley stressing certain words making it seem like he knows the Solidus is a patriot
Bradley well we’re counting on you to learn enough to where you can be confused as to being a member
*Solidus realizing that Bradley definitely knows that he is a Patriot decides to pull out a gun and fire at Bradley but Bradley pulls out his sword and slices the bullet in half
Bradley: clear out this will get ugly
*all of the high ranking officers quickly leave the room Solidus then looks at the gun in his hand and then throws it aside
Solidus: I appreciate how you choose to fight, Fuher, guns aren’t honorable even with all of your “humonculus” abilities which would make using a gun trivially easy you still use a sword
Bradley: choose huh, I never had a choice in any of this, I never chose to be king, I never chose to be a humunculus, I never chose to be in that child soldier camp, I never chose a single thing in my life, so no I never chose to use a sword but it does suit me
*Solidus then rockets forward with his coat showing he’s in the military burning off revealing his cyborgnetic suit and unsheathing his swords to strike Bradley but Bradley blocks them with one sword and one arm saying
Bradley: gonna have to try harder than that to hurt me

How I see the fight ending is
*as Solidus and Bradley are trying to hit the other and blocking the other’s sword eventually they cut through the floor and both fall but Solidus uses his boosters to slow his fall and Bradley stabbing the wall and using that to slow his fall and then they reach the bottom of the pit to a large room (the same room that Scar and Bradley had their final fight in)
Solidus: so you are just going to let everyone in your country die so then you can live
Bradley: I thought I already told you I had no choice in what I did, I never chose to be Bradley, I never chose to be a homunculus, I never chose to lead, I didn’t even get to chose my own son, I only chose my wife
*as Bradley is saying this Solidus rockets forward to kill Bradley but Bradley dodges only getting his eyepatch sliced off and looks back at Solidus with his eyes closed
Bradley: in a duel nothing matters, not your name, not your face, not your race, it doesn’t matter, all that matters is the fight itself, 2 made humans fighting each other, poetic isn’t it
* Bradley then opens his eyes revealing his Humunculus symbol seeing this Solidus laughs
Solidus: so you really are a made human guess I can’t say anything so yes let’s truly see who is superior
* Solidus then uses his suit to make himself stronger and Bradley”s skin starts to flake and fall off and Bradley removes his coat and the two truly start fighting but then after the two are fighting for so long Bradley is able to stab Solidus in the shoulder and with that he takes three other swords to stab his other shoulder and both legs similar to how he stabbed Greed and then cuts his head off savagely
* we then cut to Edward, Alphonse, Solid Snake, Raiden, Miles, some of the men from Briggs, 2 of animal shifter guys, Scar, and Winry while the Miles getting some information whispered into his ear
Miles: Solidus is dead
Snake and Raiden: What?
Miles: Bradley killed him
Raiden: Bastard had it coming
Snake: how did he do it
Miles: when the position for a member of the council Raven was on opened up he invited Solidus in then they fought, and then he killed him
Edward: ok we can deal with this later, we have more pressing matters, one what the hell are we meant to do with Scar he’s a wanted criminal and soon so will we, and you want us to sneak into a secret government base to steal some walking tank that a friend of yours made in order to run into central and stop the Philosopher’s stone plan with nuclear armaments so sorry for being skeptical Alphonse: please calm down brother and hear them out again
Ed: I’ve heard them a hundred times and I still don’t understand, look we’ll deal with the Scar issue and then we can talk over how we are even going to get to South WHEN WE’RE IN THE NORTH!!!!

Honestly, this could be used for a DLC mission in MGR that takes place in a dream in Raiden's head where he eventually fights an upgraded Solidus as a boss (kinda like Armstrong), with the vocals kicking in when he uses the snake arms + swords.

@@hattoripool1533 I guess a superior pair of High-Frequency blades (this time his swords are a mix of red, white and blue), some vastly-upgraded snake arms on his exo-suit with increased grabbing range that fire plasma beams rather than missiles (kinda like the RAY's laser but more focused and accurate), and superior accelerator boosters that enable him to speedblitz across the battlefield (sort of like what he does in the final battle of MGS2 except MUCH faster and barely visible, like a faster version of Jetstream Sam's dash attack).
The instrumental version of this track would play with Solidus just using his swords (sort of like Sam's fight), then the lyrics from this video play once he bulks up the exo-suit to use the snake arms and accelerator booster.
I dig it!

Ironic that you say that, considering Bradley is also a non-believer.
Anyway, here's the thing about that eye of his. When Bradley is using it, _anything_ he sees with it, he is now able to see every single minute detail of, allowing him to near clairvoyantly predict any possible action and outcome for it. And keep in mind, he doesn't even use this eye most of the time, he only uses it when he's feeling particularly challenged. Even after losing the eye and being injured, it still took a literal deus ex machina for the heroes to be able to deal a lethal wound to him.

Raiden's skull suit was able to throw off Vamp's accuracy, who also observes every minute detail of an enemy's body to predict exactly where their weapon is aiming, yet Raiden's pressure suit enabled victory. This is important since Solidus' suit is canonically a stronger variant of that same suit (Otacon himself flat-out confirms that the suits use the same tech and are almost "brothers"), so forget about the Ultimate Eye predicting Solidus' moves considering its tech countered almost the exact same precognition.
Also, Solidus is just too fast anyway. Bradley's highest calculated speed feat is when he blitzed a group of trained soldiers faster than they could react, a feat measured at Mach 6. However, Solidus scales to MGS2 Raiden and MGS4 Old Snake who both dodged modern railgun fire, feats which come out to Mach 82 - Mach 165 (which is backed up by MGS3 Big Boss and Ocelot both reacting to Volgin's lightning at close range). So, Solidus is easily *_14 times faster._* There's no way Bradley is keeping up, especially when the exo-suit is of far higher technology than the FMA world. Factor in the fact that Solidus' swords have High-Frequency properties that will slice clean through Bradley's swords (and his body) and its checkmate. Solidus Snake wins.

I believe the connection is both are soldiers created by the government, who were created to be genetically superior to basic humans(Solidus being a clone of big boss, and Bradley being a hamunculus). Both went on to lead the counties government that created them, but at the height of their plans, were defeated by the main character who they themselves recruited to the military they control(Raiden and Edward Elric).
Again, I could be wrong, but I believe those are the connections.

Solidus have HF blades that cuts through virtually anything, a super armor, reflects faster than lighting/rail guns and can overwhelm MG Ray. Honestly I dunno who can win
HF were stated to cut through atoms and we have only seen homuncoli like wrath regenerate at celluar levels at best, when you look into solidus' stuff its quite impressive really
