The Heros of the shield Two warriors with powerful weapons meant to guard
1 forsaken by the world he was task to protect used his will to fight back with his new family and push threw no matter what
The other a girl that broke the world to protect herself from pain and became the most feared creature in her world as a result (even if she's the sweetest cutest goofball)
Both are known for there will and tenacity to get things done that people think is impossible
I see this more as a team up theme imagine an injured Naofumi about to face a killing blow only for this girl in black armor to block the attack “Are you okay?” She would ask as her guild come to aid naofumi and his allies. Now the two shields stand up to face the threat and they are UNBREAKABLE!!

this was already great without the lyrics but with them and the guy singing it is now the best it could possibly be what a song!

Shields are pretty strong but the term “Unbreakable” seems to apply to Naofumi’s and Maple’s will. Naofumi’s will to never stop fighting even when the whole world sees him as the bad guy. And Maple’s will to find ways against overwhelming odds for the sake of her friends.
Naofumi may be a Tsundere and Maple may be a total goofball but they are both very alike.
Too bad my girl Maple loses pretty badly….

Drat how did I miss the notification for this matchup of defenders. A duet was unexpected but a brilliant treat. Sounds more like a team up than a match, which would be nice as the two characters have have both things in common but obvious contrasts that would make for interesting interactions.
I gotta say that I didn't expect that one to get a vocal. Which is weird because it fits perfectly the song.
I must say, this song did have a bit of an issue to me where it sounded too much like the original source material (Rising of the Shield Hero's OP). However the addition of the vocals definitely break that down by completely changing how the song is. Instead of vocals that follow the instrumental to a T, you get vocals that fit really well but that are original enough to the point where it definitely changes the atmosphere of the song.
One might say "but it does go back to following the instrumental at some points" and I'll answer that the only times where the vocals go back to it are near the beginning of the last arc of the song and at the very end of it. For the earlier you could argue that it'd be Naofumi's entry into Rage Shield and for the second it's easy to figure out that, given Naofumi wins the MU, it'd be to follow his victory. So IMO both of those work and don't take away from the vocals at all.
Either way, I'll admit that I kinda stopped listening to regular Unbreakable due to its resemblance with the OG source material but now that this cover is out, I'll no doubt listen to it a lot more. Amazing work as always.
Oh and the changes to the track art are appreciable too. Unbreakable always had one of the better 3D trackarts but now it's even better.
And we back on track we the vocals! And this one sounds like it could fully be an anime hype up battle theme with Logan heroic vocals mix with the action presented by the song! 👍

Am I the only one who read Unbreakable and Logan in the notification and thought this was gonna be about Wolverine? Just me? Ok then
Naofumi wins but I'd say it's close (I only seen season 1 of both) plus regardless of who wins the interactions could be very funny, like Naofumi throwing those balloon monsters at Maple only for her to eat them.
If we ever get a Death Battle between Naofumi and Maple I hope that they use this track, it was that awesome!
One Death Battle idea I had for Naofumi was him against Leon fou Bartfort from Trapped in a Dating Sim: The world of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs. Mainly because both Naoufumi and Leon have:
-Been isekai'd into worlds they grew to despise, with said worlds often hating on them in return for little to no reason.
-Both started from the very bottom before rising up to the top, as some of the mightest warriors of their worlds.
-Both suffered from bigoted and corrupted nobility/royalty always trying to twist the odds against them, yet they both still prevail.
-Both constantly deal with annoying males of high status. for Naofumi, the other three cardinal heroes. And Leon, the Prince and his gullible entourage.
-Both have gained a close relationship and trust with he queens of their respective worlds, but don't get along well with the kings due to them always trying to make them miserable for selfish reasons.
-Both have fierce rivalries and hatred with the eldest children of royalty for very justified and understandable reasons. Myne is a bitch towards Naofumi and Julius is just an annoyance for Leon.
-Both have two female allies who are loyal to Naofumi and Leon till the very end.
-Both are constantly trying to find easy ways to make money due to their grudges against the nobility and royalty of their worlds.
-Both takes absolutely no shit from anyone who disrespects them.
Heck, the theme of this suggestion could either be two anime heroes getting sucked into other worlds where no one would want to be in their shoes or just an unstoppable force against an immovable object. Either works. What are your thoughts on this suggestion?

Track ideas I had for two Black Clover vs. Magic the Gathering fights I had
Primal Natural Flames-Mereoleona Vermillion vs. Arlinn Kord
Illusory Shadow Tactics-Yami Sukehiro vs. Jace Breland
As for fight connections Mereoleona vs. Arlinn is a fight between two powerful prideful female mages who specialize in Pyromancy who would rather forgo weapons and go in with their fists and kicks along with being surprisingly intelligent in a fight due to their mastery of adaption who would rather die in combat then surrender, in terms of training Mereoleona takes the edge as she had actual Magic Knight training, whereas Arlinn's training as a Druid is basically self-taught, physical stats they're roughly equal and yes Mana Zone would allow Mereoleona to equal Arlinn's werewolf form in terms of physical stats, the only edges Arlinn has are that through her training she has gained the ability to retain all of her humanity including speech, and intelligence in her werewolf form and control her transformation, a healing factor when transformed and versatility as along with Pyromancy Arlinn has access to due to her Druid training Nature Magic, and Nature Magic in MtG/D&D is more then just manipulating wood/plant life as while yes Nature Magic in MtG/D&D does including manipulating wood/plant life it also includes manipulating the other elements including water/ice, lightning, earth, and wind, and feats/wins as being a Planeswalker means Arlinn has defeated many many powerful foes from different universes that she has traveled to along with many many powerful foes from her home universe of Innistrad.
And as for Yami vs. Jace connections are they're both powerful, highly intelligent to the point where they've mastered both anticipation and adaption sword-wielding mages with the ability to sense and predict their opponent's next move Yami through his Warrior's Instinct/Sixth Sense and Jace through his Clairvoyance Ability. Physical stats are roughly even with Yami arguably the stronger one though Mana Zone can allow Yami to equal Jace in terms of speed and agility, training Yami has this one as not only Yami has training under a master swordsman in his birth-country The Land of the Rising Sun, he also had official has his actual Magic Knight training, whereas Jace is mostly self-taught along with also being raised and trained by a female Sphinx, intellect Jace takes this while Yami can equal Jace in terms of tactical mastery aka anticipation, and adaption Jace in terms of overall intellect is the smarter one not only is Jace a master manipulator, he's outsmarted/conned beings that are supposedly smarter then humans multiple times along with regularly playing chess and at the same time having a casual conversation with said supposedly smarter beings, versatility Jace has this in the bag as along with iconic illusion/charm magic, Jace is also a master practitioner of Aquamancy/Water Magic and on numerous occasions has crafted new offensive/defensive spells via combining his illusion/charm magic and his Aquamancy/Water Magic, and feats/wins that also goes to Jace cause being a Planeswalker means Jace has traveled to different universes and beaten powerful foes from said universes, along with powerful foes from his home universe of Varn.
Not bad, Brandon and Logan.
Hmm this actually feels like it could be and official fight and it would be easy to implement them by using shield hero lore to the advantage of the scenario

Not gonna lie, I honestly think this worse than the original song.
It’s not terrible but I honestly feel the vocals are getting in the way of the instruments. Not mention the vocals are too high pitched? I’m not a music person so I don’t know what the word.
Like 1:50-2:20, to 2:33, and especially 2:34 to 2:46 are imo are made worse because the vocals get in the way. Which sucks because those are my favorite parts of the song.
I don’t want to offend the vocalist, but I think this is a downgrade to the original. Which is a shame because Unbreakable is my favorite instrumental song.
Edit 2024: I take everything back, I now really enjoy the vocal version of this.
The vocals make the parts I talk about better. Pretty sure listen through a tv makes hearing the instruments harder.

fair criticisms honestly I definitely agree on it being worse in some places but for me some of the pitch increases give me a feeling of desperation which is always nice to have in a battle track
