So as you may have seen by now, most of these bright youngsters have had their achievements because of various institutes which they have been enrolled in since a very young age(some since 6th grade). Kota(the "coaching hub of India") Allen takes in almost all the credit here while few places like ChaiNa(Telangana) and FIITJEE have blown apart olympiads thus assuring that children get selected into colleges like MIT and Yale etc.They are trained for not only exams like NEET, JEE(MAINS+ADV.), KVPY but also for olympiads like IPhO, IChO, IMO etc. If you dig in a bit deeper, you'd see that Lay, Debaditya, Nishant, Dhyey, Irin and many others have aced the national levels of these olympiads but couldn't taker part in them due to the restriction of only one olympiad.
So why is Stuti famous? Maybe Allen popularised the fact that she got into MIT, maybe she agreed to these interviews and disclosing of information. Maybe the others(above) didn't agree to it. But she wasn't the only one who has done this.
I'm not jealous of Stuti obviously, in fact, I'd very much aspire to be like her(only a Physicist ;D ). But the MIT phenonmena is happening more nowadays and I'd just like to point out how coaching institutes seem to always be attached with them.

dude, you always get it wrong. ADMISSION is need blind. SCHOLARSHIP is need BASED. There is a difference. need blind scholarship means that whether or not you can afford it, you wil get scholarship. by that system even ambani will get scholarship.

that's the real problem in my school no any summer camp no any olympiads nothing was organised so how do we come to know what is NTSE , PRMO NSEJS even my principle don't know what is NTSE . and for information his mother and father both are doctors and his mother took leave for 2 or 3 years just to be with her in kota as she was in ALLEN so conclusion less of knoweledge about what we can do which exams/ olympiad we can give i am felling very sad now ifi hav also money and learnt in a big school in delhi or mumbai like her then i would also knew these olympiad also exists on earth and also big schools organises many educational trips and also various extra curricular activities + tells about all the olympiads as my father and mother are not so much educated and also all these activities play a big role in taking admission in MIT.

I qualified both jee mains and jee advance with a rank under 5k both ...I was getting many iits and nits....but I wanted to take admission in iit bombay ....but my family condition didn't reach the limit to go with it.... now I am trying to qualify ...apprentice exams and to get a job soon....

And now after giving jee ,what i can see is that the people who get into iit are mostly from well off family who have educated parents who very well know that they don't have to make their child do only studies.
Almost all of the IITians are multitalented. You name any, they have different skills, interests in their pocket made possible by their parents who didn't pressurise them to just study.
I really feel unlucky to be born in a family where i was not allowed to develop interest in things other than studies.

To all the ones saying that she is a prodigy, it's not the case. Yes she might have been born with intelligence but if she just relied on it and didn't work hard enough it would have been of no use. Also she used to study for 11-12hours a day, a prodigy or naturally gifted child would never require so many hours. She is just another kid like us, but focused on her studies without any distractions. Anything is possible, let's learn from her rather than pulling her or others down. I wish to be like her one day and I will work hard for it. 🙂

I found out later that the scholarship is given based upon the SAT 1/2 scores, TOEFL scores and also as per the dedication of the candidate towards the field they want to research upon.... Btw to compare these 2 institutes either u need to have some technical research background or u need must be in either of these 2 colleges.. Even a student studying at NUS would prefer MIT, even though NUS is among the top research institutes in the world, but it doesn't mean that there is not great research opertunity at NUS or IIsc but indians have tendency to directly compare iisc with any other foreign institution without having any knowledge of on what basis u are comparing these 2 institute. A research scholar selects his or her research school based on the facilites and the availability of the experienced faculty who have done exceptional work in that field . That professor may be at MIT or Oxford or ETH Zurich or IIsc. Do u know that there is NCCRD(google it) lab in IIT madras which is one of its kind , hence if u want to do research in thermal sciences in india it will be foolish to join IIT Bombay just because of its name join IIT madras instead. If u ask me which institute would i chose for my Phd in life sciences i would happily chose ETH Zurich. Now i am not saying that MIT is not great, what i am trying to convey is that u join any institute first my knowing who has contributed the most in that field, then u look for that guy, where does he teach. All the top researchers in the world are not at MIT. There is a high level research going on in Iisc on cancer cells and DNA manipulation and that resercher has been used as reference by many other researchers all over the world, that's what we call NO. OF CITATIONS PER FACULTY. Iisc stands no. 2 on that based survey conducted by an American organization. U will not find world's best tea at world's best 5 star hotel, u may find or u may not.

Clearing entrance exams in India is more due to efforts in coaching rather than being "A child prodigy" or being god-gifted. Every Year there are 15-20 students clearing several such exams(some represent India in international Olympiads too) and with greater ease than the girl.
