    Its the calm offroad daily driver I wanted my xr 400 to be 😂
    Dont get the hate for being chinese... CFMoto works with KTM, will build KTM bikes, 90% of any motorcycle components (european or japanese) are probably made in china anyway... just assemble elsewhere

      People hated on Japanese cars/bikes when they first showed up in the USA because they weren't familiar with them. People hated on Hyundai/Kia when they first showed up in the USA because they weren't familiar with them. History is just repeating itself with Chinese products. Another channel (@DifferentSpokesTV) made an excellent video detailing all of this and talked about how CFM is taking a new approach to change to way people perceive Chinese products, where previously/traditionally Chinese manufacturers' main concern in the past was using economies of scale to bring products to market with little-to-no quality control, copy-cat engineering designs, sub-par materials, resulting in volume sales with rock bottom pricing. CFM is still using economies of scale, but they have actual R&D, quality control procedures, dealer networks, warranty standards, and leadership with passion for the sport.
      We just have to give it time for them to be largely accepted. This is the classic product life-cycle. CFM is still in the "introductory" phase where it is up to pioneer-consumers to be the early adopters that get the brand out there. Then, we'll see the growth phase (we may be in the infant stages of this phase already) where CFM has an explosion of demand for their products because consumers who traditionally would only buy a Japanese bike are now seeing the success and value of these Chinese products. We'll eventually get to the "maturity" phase of the lifecycle where CFM then becomes accepted into the realm of being a quality manufacturer, on par with the Japanese brands.
      Thanks for watching! Ride safe.

    Yesterday I had the opportunity to talk to someone that was cfmoto representative about 5 years ago. He told me that he constantly organized rallies of cfmoto dune buggies and every ride at least one would break down. Now that’s dune buggies and 5 years ago but im not sure if i want to take that chance… he told me he’s never had a honda break down on him so i might go transalp

    • @metalsadman
      @metalsadman 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      transalp is not a bad choice either, i just hate the filter situation, tbh the 450mt is being so hyped up lately that even in greece it's already has increased their price by 1k euro crazy, if it'll be the case when it comes in my country, the transalp is a better choice for me. yes a bit more expensive but that's double the performance at almost the same weight, I'm lightweight so I'm not going to need a fully adjustable suspension anyway, and always had tubed tires on my bikes.

    • @jnano2071

      @@metalsadman whats the price in greece? In costa rica the transalp is 15k, 450mt is 9k and nx500 (cb500x) is 10k. And these are the cheapest prices youll find in adv motorcycles… the tenere for example is 20k…

      Look at what's going in China economically/culturally vs what's going on in Japan, and the answer should be very clear where most people should bet their money on.

    I live in China and today my neighbor took me to a CFmoto dealer, he was expecting the MT, but it won’t come in until tomorrow - so I rode the 450 NK and then the CL (cruiser). The NK is my preference but I’d have to get used to a really quick throttle response (I’m currently riding a Suzuki GW 250 - night and day difference in so many areas). As for the CL - it’s really a cool bike but I didn’t like the low RPM response, especially 1st-2nd gears, it wasn’t happy and felt like it was lurching. My neighbor rode it and said the same thing. My real wish is a 450 scrambler but it’s not in the works (they have the 250 and then the 700). Anyway I’ll be checking out the MT very soon - exciting times! (Also they’ll be discounting the price from the MSRP which here it’s around 31,000 rmb - maybe tomorrow I’ll have some real numbers and a test ride!).

      @@Omni_Moto I rode it yesterday! Great experience, smooth shifting, comfy seat, turns easily and felt stable at low speed, did a few brake tests at 40-50km/h really solid. Definitely worth the effort to do a test ride - good torque and enjoyable all the way around (I’m 5’5” - balls of the feet-ish). They’ll be selling them next week- around 4k USD but no extras (crashbar, center stand etc) so we’ll see… I’ll go back for another ride in a few days.

    400ish pounds isn't bad- Versys 300 is around 390 pounds, Seat looks wide enough to be comfortable. Good thing CFM provides demo bikes, cuz there will be loads of interest in this one.

      Yeah people claim something is heavy or not but it’s usually not based on anything. It would be heavy if something with similar specs was lighter but there isnt.

    • @martythompson6509
      @martythompson6509 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was very interested in this bike. However, 175 dry is going to end up 200+ by the time you add fuel, oil, rad fluid and battery....
      As for the tubeless comment, tubeless tyres burp out air on rough terrain. For anything other than smooth dirt, tubed tyres are going to give less grief.

    • @Adventure_blac
      @Adventure_blac 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@martythompson6509 c’mon man. The Kawasaki doesn’t even have 20 hp. It has 5 inches of travel up front, 5.8 In The rear and 7 inches of ground clearance. The cf moto bests all that by a bunch for 300$ more. The Kawasaki is a good bike but it’s a good soft roader at best.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Versys is a pleasant little ride, but that's all I can really say about it. It has some decent off-road capability, but it's lacking in the power department compared to the Ibex 450 on paper. With a wet weight of ~420 pounds, the Ibex does come in heavier compared to the 386lbs shown on Kawasaki's website for the Versys - the Versys even has the edge in the power:weight calculation as well.
      That said, the Versys feels soulless and like a hollow shell of a motorcycle - saying that from experience of riding one in the wild.
      The Ibex 450 looks the part and has so many more desirable features that the Versys isn't bringing to the table. I'd be willing to guess Kawasaki has already decided it's time to develop a Versys 500 with their revised 400 mill, and CFM just beat them to the punch.

    Puncture resistance?
    Hmm

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, tubeless tires are not as prone to punctures when compared to a tire with a tube. If your tubed tire gets punctured, odds are your tube has taken a hit and your riding day is compromised until you remove the tire from the wheel, remove the tube, replace the tube, remount the tire/tube to the wheel, and then you can continue.
      With a tubeless tire, you can take a puncture, patch/plug said puncture, re-air, and continue your riding day.
      Here (th-cam.com/video/6mOGUYd-kYc/w-d-xo.html) is a great video on the subject.
