Hello, I am from China. I also plan to buy this motorcycle, but when I checked the reviews of this motorcycle on the Chinese Internet, I found that most people reported three reliability issues with this motorcycle (450nk). 1: When you release the handlebar , the handlebar tilted to the left. 2: The handlebar is very easy to swing, no matter you are at high speed or low speed. 3.tft screen is not aligned to the center . These problems are mainly concentrated in early models. I hope you can pay attention to whether your motorcycle has these problems and share with us.
Oh I see. Well I'm sure you guys got it well before us. The bike is definitely new to the US but I'm not sure how long it's been out in China. So far I ridden an extremely hard 700 miles and it's holding up perfectly
Can you share any links with info about the problems? I’m in China also and haven’t seen anything - I’m interested in this one or maybe a Voge. I really want CF to make a scrambler!! This engine on a scrambler would be my dream bike !
hello friend. is there any similar issues for the CFmoto 450SS/450SR? would love to know. i can't understand mandarin so it is a bit difficult for me to look up chinese feedback
Glad you're okay! Were you wearing the vest under a jacket? What jacket was it? Were you able to get the airbag repacked? I'm genuinely interested in the Tech Air 5, thanks.
Did you consider a Ktm 390 duke, they get great reviews. But I guess it’s hard to meet your price. I saw some 2023s for $4299 but then probably freight setup, tax. I guess that would come out to about $6299.
I’ve been looking at air bags and one of the biggest features I want is neck protection. Do you feel like the tech air 5 provides it? Glad you’re ok brother, that was a scary video. Love the NK, that thing looks awesome.
@@TheCoolestCourier Oh I'll have to check that one out! I'd be worried about repacking. I've seen more than a few reviews with their bags tearing or damaging from inflation/repacking but that was on a different model so maybe they've worked that out.
I'm. Glad you are alive.. so I'm torn between this one and the ktm duke 390.. I'm 5'7 a beginner rider, never been on a motorcycle.. Just got b my license.. any advice .. is like to flat foot my bike and also something with ABS
That's a tough choice. I think this bike is really good, potentially better on the highway since it's two cylinders. But I've heard good things about the new 390
I didn't know airbag vests existed. I am a new rider. I will definitely look into this cuz we (Alberta) have a lot of deer, elk and moose on the back roads.
Loved this video! NK 450 looks (and sounds) like a fun ride. I recently traded a Duke 390 in for a GSX 8S and love the new bike but know I'd be happier with something a little smaller. My main complaint with my 390 was it just wasn't very comfortable at highway speeds which doesn't sound like that's a problem with the NK. Next CFMoto demo in my area I'll have to try one of these. Says a lot if you can make riding through traffic like that look fun!
@@manurodrigo9646 Good recommendation that I'd love to investigate but sadly Honda does not sell the Hornet where I live (US). When released I watched every video review I could find on the Hornet (GSX 8S and Duke 790 too!) and had even chosen what color/options/modifications I wanted for the Honda but got tired of waiting (good thing since still no Hornet here). Other than the desire for something slightly smaller (physically) I have no complaints about my 8S and am enjoying it very much but the search for the perfect bike (for me) continues!
What a dreadful road. Red lights every few yards. How do you live there? I am so happy to live in a biker's paradise here in southern Spain. Yes there is traffic in towns etc. But I also have quick access to some fabulous twisty mountain roads, to be enjoyed with great weather most days of the year.
Glad you’re ok, quick question, how tall are you and the bike comfortable for you? My son is looking for a budget starter bike but I think he may be too tall at 6’1. Seems like everything in the 300 range is under powered, any suggestions? Thanks
5'11 and it is comfortable but it is more cramped than my xsr900. If you can find a good deal on a Suzuki drz400 supermoto, that's a nice fun for a spike that is roomy for taller riders
My insurance covered everything and paid me very generously for the bike. I actually sold this bike 4 months ago. I've had an mt-09 ever since. I really need to make videos on it
My previous bike was an MT09, the cp3 is an amazing engine but the suspension left much to be desired. I have been eyeing the 800NK and 450SS although I'm torn because I have always wanted a Street Triple. BTW the 800NK is actually 7lbs lighter than the Duke 790. I keep seeing people mentioning the 800NK being much heavier but that is because they are comparing wet weight vs. dry weight. The wet weight, sometimes referred to as curb weight of the Duke 790 is 417lbs and the 800NK is 410lbs.
What year MTO9 did you have? The 2021 and up handle. Excellent. My 2022 XSR900 was incredible in the corner's. This 450 NK is very fun for the price. It's hard to beat the new CP3 bikes as far as fun though!
@@TheCoolestCourier I had a 2017 and the suspension was not confidence inspiring when leaning in the twisties. The rear would wallow and was hard to hold a line with any imperfections in the road. I’ve heard the 3rd gen’s are much better in that respect. I believe the XSR has a slightly longer wheelbase too which improves stability. I would definitely go for an SP model if I got another MT09 but the Striple RS is pretty much an improvement all around. I just worry I would miss the hooligan acceleration of the CP3 compared to the more linear power of the Striple 765.
I started thinking about new bike. If you would hava a choice between Yamaha mt 03 and 400nk which one would you buy ? PS. You are very lucky to be alive man. :)
It's a little cramped but totally doable. I think The 21 through 23 MT09 is the roommiest naked I've been on. I love mine so far. It's my favorite bike I've owned.
This nk 450 is just lunch in my country, too, but im confused. Should I buy nk or benelli Can u help me? I want a long-lasting bike, but cf Moto Nk is new in my country. I don't know about the engine life of nk 450 plz help mee🙏🙏
What do you think about quality of the components compared to Yamaha or Honda ? I know it’s cheaper than those but in my country the Chinese ones and Japanese bikes are at the same price range
It is excellent! It feels more expensive than the lower CC Yamahas. I'm super impressed. My favorite bike in every category in ascending power/price would be This 450 nk, new duke790, mt09/xsr900, super duke, new Ducati Diavel V4
Man I cannot wait to get my first bike. You remind me of myself talking while I drive my car. I would do the same on a bike except I would be making more obnoxious and goofy noises in the helmet cuz I know no one can hear me. 😂
Thanks man. Yeah I've been really enjoying it. I'm tempted to grab another MT09 just cuz that's my favorite platform. But for this segment, I don't think there's any close second to the 450
Yeah, it's possible to have a quick shifter for up shifts. I don't think they make one right now, but I don't recommend quick shifters on cable. Actuated throttles. They're very delayed and sloppy. If you want a small bike with a good quick shifter. Go for the KTM 390 Duke or the new Aprilia
@@TheCoolestCourierthanks for the comment back i appreciate it! And yeah im between the Aprilia 457 or this bike here. I’m a newish rider i have a 1200 Harley forty eight so i want to go down with less power . Just don’t feel experienced enough and want a sporty bike.
Nice, I ended up going with this because clip-ons are a no-go for me. I love comfort, so at a bare minimum naked bikes are the most uncomfortable by some willing to work with. Full fair and sport bikes with clip-ons and rear sets are so overrated for the street. I've hustled a 700 lb. Yamaha roadstar Quicker through twisties then guys on r7's. Fundamentals and practice go a long way . A big fan of channels like canyon chasers and Moto jitsu
Absolutely, I think this is the best first bike of all time, especially for someone with no experience. I used to suggest the mt-07. But if you've never ridden dirt bikes or at least driven fast manual cars that bike could be a bit much for a first-time Rider. This bike really splits the difference and still feels like the mt-07 character
Sport bike gearing is so tall that yeah, I don't find it that fun on the street. Unless we're in a big high-speed canyon. I think you'll have a lot of fun on this thing.
The deer ran off. Yeah my insurance paid for the car's damages. The accident was filed not at fault on my end and went under comprehensive total loss as if my bike was stolen
It's a newer manufacturer that has really been making a name for themselves recently the last couple years. They're in all the major dealerships now. Look up some reviews of CF Moto bikes
@@TheCoolestCourier every detailed review of this bike video says it. And as far as I know cf moto doesn’t have another type of parallel two cylinder engine to put onto the nk450. By the way that’s my really dream bike. I live in Turkey and it’s not here yet. It will be on sale after like a few months.
@@TheCoolestCourier glad to hear it man. Gear is amazing. I just had an accident a few weeks ago too, if you're curious it's on my channel. I was curious about the insurance thing. I would like to see a video if you ever thought about doing one.
They're building an Ibex 450? That would be sweet! I've been eyeing the Ibex 800 and as much as I'd like one of those I'm not ready for something that big just yet. Nor do I currently have the $10K to get one. A 450 is the perfect middle ground falling in the "Just powerful enough" category. 😁
@@Slane583 Its already the 450 MT over sea's but its the Ibex 450 for US and priced at $6500. And yes, after having a Tiger 800xcx too big and too poweful offroad isnt fun.
@@tieoneon1614 Ahh, ok. Still good to know they're releasing something like that here in the US. The $6,500 price tag also sounds reasonable as well. I always found Adventure bikes to be a weird one as far as off-roading goes. The idea of trying to take a very large displacement motorcycle where a dirt bike belongs always came off as being odd. This new 450 sounds like a more realistic choice. Kind of like riding on a DRZ 400. I'll have to keep it in mind for a future purchase. I like the up right riding posture of Adventure bikes because it reminds me of an atv/dirt bike. Also the idea hard luggage cases are nice for added storage when on long trips. :)
Anything north of 30 horsepower feels fast on the dirt. I had a CRF 300L and it had balls for sure and it wasn't too bad on the road until you put it on the highway. That's where the 450 will shine. Trail riding but you have to travel 20 mi on the highway to get there first. There's not really a good bike for that. Anything that can do that is like a tenere 700 and up which in my opinion is way too big. Off-road
Holy shit dude, that was some insane crash that came out of nowhere! Hope you’re ok & struth, you must be the Terminator 💪💪⭐️ Enjoy the little ripping 450NK! Will you be interested in the Ibex450? Cheers from Aus👌
Thank you! Yes, I think this engine in an off-road bike would be incredible. That's always been my gripe with having a dual sport. Is the areas where I want to ride are 10 to 20 miles away in the small capacity, a single cylinder bikes don't do very well at sustained high speeds. But this NK does so I imagine it will be a great bridge between dual sports and bikes like the tenere700
@@TheCoolestCourier Absolutely 👌 I’ve subscribed to follow your content on the progress of the little NK! I test rode one briefly & will definitely go on a longer run. The best of both worlds would be the NK for commuting & the MT for weekend tours 👌
Imagine being the person in that car watching the start of your crash from an outside POV with the end result of having you smack off their vehicle. Obviously it was worse for you being the one crashing. But I'd be wondering WTF was going on if I watched all that and had you bounce off my truck while I was sitting still. :)
I'm sure they were just confused. A lot of people don't even see the deer on first. Watch, a ton of people think I swerved when actually if you slow down the video he smacks my gas tank and right side of my handlebar and sends me into the other lane.
@@TheCoolestCourier That's what it looked like to me when I saw it. The sob body checked you and you ended up smacking that car. Besides stupid drivers deer are probably the no1 cause for accidents in my area since I'm in a heavily rural area. All kinds of wooded back roads and farms. Also depends on what time in the day they're moving the most. I've taken a back road at night from a friends house one summer on my way home and encountered five or six deer within a 2 or 3 miles distance. You have to drive with your high beams on all the way or you'll never see them coming. Luckily the roads I like to take the most the deer aren't as bad but they do show up on occasion. :)
@@TheCoolestCourier I bet. I'm as far north in New York as you can possibly go before you get into Canada. So seeing deer related accidents all year round is a common sight. Some people who live a lot closer to the mountains have the same problem with moose and they're far bigger animals. I'm more in the valley region, we supposedly have moose around here too but I never seen one in all my years of growing up. Bad drivers with no patience are still a bigger threat to bikers than deer are though.
Deer are such dumb animals. Same thing happened to me except it was 2 deer i tried to dodge and i didn't hit a car. Glad youre ok and back riding dude.
Palomar Mountain is tighter than it looks on camera. I was fully looking through the corner and not at the sides of the road, also between the deer being the same color as the ground, it was laying on, the sun glare off my visor, and my vision not being the best. It was pretty likely that I wasn't going to see it unfortunately
@@TheCoolestCourier I've been up Palomar Mountain, got the tshirt. I live in northern Cal, I'm familiar with tight mountain roads and deer. I haven't hit one yet, knock on wood, they're known to be extremely skittish and I slow riiiight down when I'm passing by one.
@@TheCoolestCourier KTM were in the process of bringing out a five hundred twin when the companies merged and CF Moto took the engine for themselves. I own a Duke 390 and was waiting for KTM to release the twin 490 when the project was cancelled. At the KTM dealership yesterday the salesman told me why the KTM Duke 490 was cancelled. The engine was put in the CF Moto instead. KTM make great engines these days. That's why you think it's great 👍 google what happened to the Duke KTM 490 and it will probably tell you it was cancelled but the truth is CF Moto took the engine for themselves.👍

Yeah it does. I landed head first and it kept my neck in place
@ well thank goodness you were wearing it! Thanks for replying!
Is this comparable to HONDA CB300R? I don't need anything more powerful or faster (i know myself) but something that is safe to ride and controllable
Definitely looking at getting an airbag, but the Heelite backpack. More versatile and more longevity.
Alpinestars now has a better one you can refill yourself
@@TheCoolestCourier Oh I'll have to check that one out! I'd be worried about repacking. I've seen more than a few reviews with their bags tearing or damaging from inflation/repacking but that was on a different model so maybe they've worked that out.
Do you know if you can order a quickshifter for this bike?
That thing is pretty cool and oddly sounds pretty good as well.
Yeah, it sounds very similar to an mt-07 because of the 270° crankshaft design.
They're the best, next level protection. It should be 2nd priority right after a helmet
maybe the engine for the 450 NK comes from the 450 Ibex which is CF Moto's midsize ADV bike sold outside the US
Not sure though
So I found out it was a KTM designed engine that they decided not to use
The stock exhaust sounds nice.. now i want one 😅
Yeah it's not bad at all
Loved this video!
It is a fun City bike for sure. I imagine that 8S is pretty sweet though. I actually just sold the CF Moto to my friend and picked up an mt-09sp!
You should try too the hornet 750, that's very good to ride!
@@richardwarsinske7064 what a injustice! How can it be a brand like Honda didn't release the hornet in the USA, doesn't make sense to me.
I have my heart set on a 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen. I might need to rethink things. What's the gas mpg and range?
50 MPG, 130 miles
What a dreadful road. Red lights every few yards. How do you live there? I am so happy to live in a biker's paradise here in southern Spain. Yes there is traffic in towns etc. But I also have quick access to some fabulous twisty mountain roads, to be enjoyed with great weather most days of the year.
Unfortunate. They dont make airbag vest for my size
I'm 6ft and a half tall. I fit perfectly on the bike. 😊
Are these 2024my23 right?
After that crash with the XSR900, what happened? Insurance covered everything? Did you pay for the car too?
Yeah the crazy acceleration is addictive in the Yamaha. Kicks in sooner than the triumph
CF MOTO are bringing out the 675 SR sport bike. It's a triple. Looks pretty nice in the images I've seen. Probably won't arrive til next year though.
The concept colors I saw for it looked amazing. Purple and blue
I started thinking about new bike. If you would hava a choice between Yamaha mt 03 and 400nk which one would you buy ?
PS. You are very lucky to be alive man. :)
okay, late to the party. but do you put 91+ gas in it or do you just put 87? Owner's manual says 87+ but, I am not sure if 87 is good for it or not.
87
Is it big enough for a big boy? 5’11 200 lbs :( I sat on one at the dealership and realized I big 😢
New Mt09 will always be my suggestion
Did your insurance company go after the deer?
Haha, I'm just glad I had it on camera. That would have played out a whole different way if I didn't
@TheCoolestCourier yea man, glad it wasn't worse, and that no one was going any faster. What a wild way to have an incident.
glad your ok after the crash
Thank you!
What do you think about quality of the components compared to Yamaha or Honda ? I know it’s cheaper than those but in my country the Chinese ones and Japanese bikes are at the same price range
It is excellent! It feels more expensive than the lower CC Yamahas. I'm super impressed.
My favorite bike in every category in ascending power/price would be
This 450 nk, new duke790, mt09/xsr900, super duke, new Ducati Diavel V4
@@TheCoolestCourier I really appreciate your honest thoughts on those bikes. It will be my first bike and my dream ❤️
Hi
What is the fuel consumption?
👍
I'm getting 52 but my bike basically lives at Red line. I've heard you can get 60 to 70 MPG
Dude, I'm stoked they connected Clinton Keith! I used to take that way to go to work, having to make all those damn turns lol.
Dang, good eye. You knew right where that was. If you're in the area we should totally ride!
@@TheCoolestCourier My bike is out of commission, but I'm down whenever I get it fixed
Man I cannot wait to get my first bike. You remind me of myself talking while I drive my car. I would do the same on a bike except I would be making more obnoxious and goofy noises in the helmet cuz I know no one can hear me. 😂
Haha nice!
Does it have the same engine as the cfmoto450mt
Yes it does just a different state of tune
Stuck on this and the mt-03
These are dirt cheap right now at dealers. Ones listed by me for 3k
Burtal cash brother, gald u are ok, im looking to buy the same bike so your video helps a lot
Thanks man. Yeah I've been really enjoying it. I'm tempted to grab another MT09 just cuz that's my favorite platform. But for this segment, I don't think there's any close second to the 450
Is it possible to have a quick shifter?
Would u recommend this bike to a new rider
Absolutely, I think this is the best first bike of all time, especially for someone with no experience. I used to suggest the mt-07. But if you've never ridden dirt bikes or at least driven fast manual cars that bike could be a bit much for a first-time Rider. This bike really splits the difference and still feels like the mt-07 character
I have an r6….1st gear 80mph…second and hire light speed….hence why i need the 450nk…so i can learn how to ride…thanks for affirming my choice👍🤜
Sport bike gearing is so tall that yeah, I don't find it that fun on the street. Unless we're in a big high-speed canyon. I think you'll have a lot of fun on this thing.
1. what happened to that deer or whatever that was?
2. do you need to pay for the damage you caused to that car?
nice bike btw. the 450nk
The deer ran off.
Yeah my insurance paid for the car's damages.
The accident was filed not at fault on my end and went under comprehensive total loss as if my bike was stolen
How much you paid for and where do you live :)?
$6250 after tax,title,reg.

What do you mean?
@@TheCoolestCourier manufacturer
Of what? The bike? It's in the title of the video. CF MOTO
@@TheCoolestCourier what is that
It's a newer manufacturer that has really been making a name for themselves recently the last couple years. They're in all the major dealerships now. Look up some reviews of CF Moto bikes
Engine is the same as 450SS. They just remapped the ECU little bit.
Oh I see, yeah the torque kicks in a little sooner on the nk. Where did you find that info?
@@TheCoolestCourier every detailed review of this bike video says it. And as far as I know cf moto doesn’t have another type of parallel two cylinder engine to put onto the nk450. By the way that’s my really dream bike. I live in Turkey and it’s not here yet. It will be on sale after like a few months.
It's so fun! I think you'll like it. I miss my XSR900 but we have a lot of high speed roads out here. But even so this 450 is no slouch!
Cheesus crust man! You're doing ok that quickly after dying?
Surprisingly so. I crushed the soft tissue in the pelvis but that healed after a few weeks. My full gear and airbag vest really saved me
@@TheCoolestCourier glad to hear it man. Gear is amazing. I just had an accident a few weeks ago too, if you're curious it's on my channel. I was curious about the insurance thing. I would like to see a video if you ever thought about doing one.

Miata Effect, I’m sold dude
Exactly
It would have taken me a lot longer before I could get back on a bike after that. Oh man.
I thought it would for me too
This motor in the Ibex coming out is going to be CF's big pay day. They actually listened to what people wanted, and built it.
Yeah it's going to be awesome. The ibex 450 I think will be everything I wanted the CRF 300l to be
They're building an Ibex 450?
Off-road
ohh boi I was terrified too from your accident! 😨
Yeah it was pretty insane
Hi...its a grear bike....i think you can make 60mpg or even more with ease if you choose green line😂👍👍👍

I've never played this game but I can already tell I think this quote is from RDR2 🤣
That crash scared the F outta me!
Haha me too!
MT-07s have 80k miles out here.
Yeah CP3 bikes can go far as well.
This is a softer design of the MT-03.
More modern for sure

Yeah, I'm in SoCal so deer never even crossed my mind until that day
@@TheCoolestCourier I bet.
The ATTGAT crew can be a little stuffy, but they’re always right eventually
Yeah my group and I ride to fast to not. Twisties only basically. And not to mention I'm back on an mt-09
Deer are such dumb animals. Same thing happened to me except it was 2 deer i tried to dodge and i didn't hit a car. Glad youre ok and back riding dude.
Thank you!
A deer pushing you into a car is exceptionally unlucky, but why didn't you see that deer?
Why tf deers come in when a predator is heading towards their direction. 😭

What KTM engine is it based on? They don't have a parallel twin 450 in their lineup
Oh that's cool. That makes sense why it has so much character. It makes way more sense that it's KTM. I thought it would be a little unlikely that cf Moto could develop such a bang or engine after I felt their other engines and how not that great they are
