Though Kate is an accomplished actress, the character of Janeway never resonated with me. Yes Jeri is smoking hot, but at least they made Seven into an able member of the crew with frailties. Janeway vacillated morals according to the situation.
Jeri Ryan was added for her sex appeal. But then she came in and crushed the role. Her journey to humanity was my favorite Star Trek story arc. I'm so glad they didn't kill her off! To be honest I think she is one of the most overrated characters in Star Trek history, The Doctor, Tuvak and Janeway were all much more interesting leads and could act circles around Jeri. I honestly don´t mind them adding eye candy to the show but 90 percent of the show became about her and she was just bland.
she is the best thing that could happen to this show. from the moment she joined Voyager, the show became interesting. she is an exceptional actress, making a non-human or half-human character more complex and human than anyone thought possible. this is why Seven of the Nine is so beloved. yes, we like her curves as well, men and women alike.
The funny thing is, 7 of 9 was added as eye candy but her dramatic character, and fights with the captain, were by far the pithiest moments in Voyager legend. If you disagree, it's because you Earthlings think small...
I remembered many years ago reading a behind-the-scenes story about how Jeri Ryan was brought on to Voyager because ratings were dropping and the cast became stale. When she came on board, the ratings - for better or for worst - went off the chart. I think 7of9 was one of the best characters of Voyager. It says a lot about her eventual return on "Picard". Great to see Jeri Ryan back on the screen. She has aged beautifully.
Gmon750 - agree that the first few seasons of Voyager were not massively inspiring especially when compared to TNG or DS9, both of which were heavily character driven. It seemed bland, and driven by what we would nowadays call SJW or feminist casting and writing. Shifting thins up a notch with a new character and more action was the right thing to do. It worked for DS9 when Warf joined the cast and the Dominion War started to ramp up, and for Farscape when Chiana joined the show. Both the above also went for a darker approach to the feel of the show at the same time. You can even point to the third season of Babylon 5 being its breakout, where the action goes up a gear. Yeah. This was the right thing for Voyager, it probably saved it.
The characters were stale because the writing for them was stale. It’s a shame that the brilliant writing that revolved around the Seven of Nine character couldn’t be applied to the others.
Yea, she’s is one of the only non cringey aspects of Picard... every time I hear that woman call Picard “JL” I throw up a little. And the pointless swearing... and then the “Vulcan” commodore wearing sunglasses, and not even futuristic ones, just like the vaping. I mean, I watch it because..: but Christ it’s hard to see how they are trashing it
Aged Beautifully? Ryan, is akin to a "Fine Wine". The 7 of 9 character is perhaps the best part of this series. How the character has developed, and become more comfortable & confident in herself, is indeed noteworthy. I hope to learn more about her journey, and life after Voyager.
The problem with Janeway was they stripped her of her femininty. Except for her hair. Just as feminine men don't cut it (remember Enterprise ), macho women are fake too. That and she lived out the 'bad girl' personal where she threw out one liners that levelled the audience.
Yeah, or they could've done a ST/VOY movie where they could let the animosity between the two of them just flow and add "HUTSPAH" to the script, as with Bette Davis and Joan Crawford in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?"... Those two "Silver Screen" Divas TRULY HATED EACH OTHER in real life, and it truly enriched the screenplay... Neither of them had to ACT like they hated each other because it was REALLY THE TRUTH!!!
Seven of Nine was popular because her character followed the same path to true humanity that Spock, and Data had before her, so it was both familiar and interesting given her Borg origins...and she was 🔥.
Seven was popular because she had ta-ta's "like-a-deese", a boofoo "out to yaw", a snappin crackin V-wedgie, blonde hair down to here and a face that would raise the dead. Sheese, man! Don't fool yourself. LOL!
@@johnarmenta2199 The role was actually conceived as pretty much that, but thankfully, the actress, Jeri Ryan, would have none of that and actually forced her character to have more, and smart, dialogue, and made her a real person
@@paavobergmann4920 - Yes - and if Rosanne Barr had acted the same part in the same way with the same smartness of dialog, the world would have drooled over her too. . . . . riiiiight.
One of the best episodes is where the Doctor has to hide inside of Seven of Nine and Ryan does an excellent portrayal of the Doctor experiencing many sensations such as eating and drinking (alcohol) for the first time.
I’m surprised that Kate Mulgrew didn’t like Jeri Ryan. That’s really mind blowing being that the two working together on Voyager were phenomenal actors in their own right. I loved the series and enjoyed their 7 year story. I’m also shocked that Robert Beltran held some resentment towards Jeri for being the new kid on the block. They had some great stories for all the characters involved and you could never tell that there was some angst between any of the actors. Even so, kudos for Jeri Ryan because her character Seven of Nine has been and will always be a favorite of mine in this franchise. I’m glad she got to be a part of the series Picard and I can’t wait to see what happens next season.
The thing about Jeri Ryan is that she plays 7 of 9 so consistently and convincingly well.. Every gesture, every eye movement reveals the conflict and complexity going on within her character. And you don't sit there and think this is an actress playing a part, but somehow you're also thinking, "Wow, is she ever good at this." Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) is the ideal ship captain and always played an essential role in the show, and I can see where there might be friction between Mulgrew and Ryan, because, let's face it, Ryan (no doubt unintentionally) upstaged her, and with Ryan's attributes, who can blame Mulgrew?
its not about the content, its about the money... no time to correct minor errors... must pump out more videos and make more money... it has nothing to do with them liking the show, but with how much they can make on it.
Maybe it's just his schtick similar to Michael Richards who used to deliberately mispronounce words as Kramer. E.g., Colifornia instead of California or Ruggay instead of Reggae.
I remember one of Seven's problems when she was first disconnected from the Borg was that she was unused to the quiet. She needed to hear the constant chatter of the rest of the collective. I often wondered why the crew didn't connect her via audio only to the ship's computer. That way she could have continually listened in on life support, stellar cartography, navigation, maintenance, and a few hundred other communication routines. This could easily have led to episodes of her either causing problems or rescues from literal inside information.
The new Picard series has been a very pleasant surprise. I particularly enjoy the philosophical discussions between Picard and Data, Picard explaining life lessons to Sochi and others, along with the smaller and larger storylines, action, and cgi effects. The character development was done well; it's just what I needed! I hope there are many more seasons of this series and the new crew!!
@@Soul-cry1 Yeah, that's definitely how Janeway said it. Like that was the proper pronounciation in Chakotay's language, but everyone else who knew him pronounced it the lazy way. It felt real to me, because having some Asian friends, the way their mothers pronounce their names is NOT the way their friends do.
Thank you. If I hear him say "chuk-oh-tay" one more time... What is it with narrators who don't bother to look closely enough at their source material to oronounce words correctly, anyway???
How old are you? Did you not live in the 80's? The workout clothes women word then, and that includes jogging outfits, were all tight, shiny Spandex. This was way before seven.
While Rian did an excellent job as seven i think picardo as the doctor played the best. He used humor in a cold way he actualy seems very convincing as hologram/program.
It's amazing how much Jeri Ryan went through - both in real life as an actor in ST VOY where she had to cope with all that negative feelings of colleagues, especially Kate Mulgrew, but also what she portrayed as 7 of 9 in the show - her arc is phenomenal and easily the best character in whole Star Trek. On the bright side, we can see that Sir Patrick Stewart is very okay with her in real life and her character in ST Picard. Kudos to both of them.
My favorite 7 of 9 episode was when the doctor downloaded himself in her eye piece and was speaking through her. LoL He ate cheesecake and was amazed at how good it tasted.
Good times. I always loved watching Jeri play Seven as other characters, she nailed the mannerisms so well, you forget that she's not actually that character.
"WE ARE BORG!', yikes! As 4 the 'Picard is rubbish'-crowd: It ain't "TNG," but I dig it. Now I'm w/U in utter contempt for "STD." Like "Alien 3," just pretend it never happened.
Was there no crazed Star Trek fan (like myself) working in the mailroom or something running up to the big wigs and screaming "CHA-KO-TAY!! IT'S PRONOUNCED CHA-KO-TAY YOU SAVAGES!!!"??? LMAO!!!
I just got to say, I love seven of nine, always have. She was a great add on to the voyager series, not because she was "eye-candy" but she had a really good character arc where she struggled to become more human. And she has real acting skills too. I feel bad hearing she and the captain Janway did not get along behind the scens because I really liked the both ass star trek characters. I hope they have had and are friends now.
Commander “CHUH-ko-Tay”??? (Facepalm!). Why do they have people who never watched the series and don’t know how to pronounce the characters’ names do the narration for these vids?!!!
Same as when they have musical stars of today pass judgement on shows like "I Love the 80s." F**K their opinions. They weren't even alive then. They really ought to have another narrator re-record the audio. It would probably take about half an hour and it's fixed.
Also note that Seven was in love with Cheqotay and he with her. She didn't abandon all hops of being with any of the crew, the two of them were very clearly in love with each other (I've watch the whole series many times over as it is my favourite). Just something to keep in mind... she likes men. Anyhow, regardless of what the cast thought, she was the best thing to happen to that series, and I am not talking merely about her good looks etc. It was a great addition and added a great deal to the storyline.
And don't forget her first love was that male alien in unimatrix...that's when she realized she was capable of love and could try again in the real world..with chayqtay
Admiral Janeway knew her younger self well. Her previous attempts to get her younger self on board with the idea of using the Borg's trans warp technology to get home were failing. But, then the Admiral Janeway said the one thing that triggered Captain Janeway to change her mind. She said "SEVEN OF NINE IS GOING TO DIE" And then, Bam! Captain Janeway went into full protective mom mode. Legal consequences of violating the temporal prime directive be damned. She would go through hell and back to save Seven, as she had proven in previous episodes, often putting the lives of her crew in jeopardy to save Seven.
One of my favorite episodes involving Seven was when something triggered multiple personalities to be displayed from her. It was awesome to see Jeri Ryan getting to do other characters that were so unlike Seven!
jeri ryan's talent definitely matches her beauty. to be honest, i always knew she was beautiful but i never focussed on it. it was always about how good she was on screen to me.
Can you please show an episode of Star Trek Voyager to whoever narrated this video so he knows how pronounce Chakotays name correctly. It's not like it hasn't been said 1000 times on the series. And why didn't anyone pick up on this before this was posted on youtube? Clearly no one on this channel has watched this TV series. FAKE TREKERS!
I can certainly see Kate's reasons for being resentful of Jeri: she turned out to be the best actor on the show, and is gorgeous. But at least she acknowledged her talent despite what can only be deemed jealousy.
Honestly, I think it was a stroke of genius, pairing Seven with Picard. I think....in some small way....he was able to help her forgive herself in a way that Janeway never could. He was able to help her find peace after Icheb's death. Captain Janeway gave Seven back her humanity. The Doctor taught Seven how to embrace it. But forgiving oneself for past trauma, is the most important part of being human....and that lesson came from Picard. Because only he could truly understand the suffering she felt.
I think Mulgrew was exactly right about why the character of Seven of Nine was so popular. ...And she was the new kid. Me, I stilll missed Kes. I was surprised you didn't mention how she got her name. Perhaps tellingly, the character was named after the android robot played by Julie Numar in the mid-'60s sitcom "My Living Doll". The robot was referred to in public as "Rhoda," a relative of Bob Cumming's character, but her official designation was AF-709.
@@mawkingjax841 You're correct... but if you'll remember the buzz was that the series was in trouble... The Next Generation was well received but Voyager wasn't really a hit... until Seven of Nine... Cheers.
I agree the series was in trouble...but Kes left at the beginning of the 4th season as Seven came in. I was referring to the season... It was three full seasons in before the change took place.
The pronunciation of Chakotay as "Chuck-o-tay," a pronunciation that was never to my knowledge used on Voyager, evokes for me Peppermint Patty, who always called Charley Brown "Chuck."
MU G I think a lot of the “envy was really worry about becoming superfluous as a character, or even worse, eliminated like Kes. Very few Star Trek characters were able to move on in their careers once the show was over. A bit like being a child actor.
Even casual fans have to admit that Jeri Ryan saved Voyager. The network was going to cancel it, so, they brought in a hot new actress... No one knew she actually had talent
I'll be honest, I loved her return to Star Trek, through Picard. I was giddy for Locutus and Seven to interact, and share their struggle to get back their humanity. I can't wait for Season 2.
Jeri Ryan is such a brilliant actor. Definitely one of my favourite female actors. Despite her coming intobthe Star Trek Voyager series late she definitely made the series memorable and the series definitely wouldn't be the same without her. As well, now that I think about it she definitely was my favourite character on Star Trek Voyager!!!
Seven of Nine made voyager much better and more enjoyable, love the concept of her character and those curves!!!! I 'finished' every episode with my nacelles fully charged
What drew me for Seven was her becoming Human. Her episodes with her awkwardness (such as breaking her dates arm) or her one liners "There isn't anyone on deck....that doesn't know when you are having intimate relations"
The focus on 7 was warranted because she is a former Borg and was a very interesting character to explore not because she was beautiful. Like any team, everyone should know their roles.
The biggest issue with the 7 of 9 character for me was the fact that her parents went out to study the Borg race before humans actually knew about them in the Star Trek timeline. There were a lot of inconsistencies on the show Voyager, particularly with Janeway's character. Though 7 of 9 was very consistent. Her character was also developed properly, as was the doctor's character. Everyone else was either cardboard or inconsistent, save a few. I honestly think without 7 of 9, this show wouldn't have made it past 4 or 5 seasons. Jeri Ryan's entry not only saved the show, but made it worthwhile.
Anybody can say anything they want but she saved that show just like Urkel saved family matters. On both shows cast members mistreated the very person who kept their checks coming in. Actors seem to have a little bit of an ego situation going on. I love the entire Star Trek franchise even Galaxy Quest! 7 became my favorite character and liked that she fell in love and I would have been pissed if she had died. And yes, she was and still is GORGEOUS! I can't believe she's in her 50's.
You are pronouncing Chakotay's name wrong! Cha-ko-tay you are adding and extra vowel that is not there. Not trying to sound mean, I am just a huge Star Trek fan. 💕
I think jealousy and pride gets in the way with actors. Yes, Seven is incredibly beautiful and that alone was going to raise their rating but honestly, Jeri Ryan is so talented and her character, beautiful or not, brought a lot of depth and interest to the show. She added years to their run.
Jeri Ryan is a great actress..and I'm shocked by the B.S. the other cast members put her through. And it's not just the sexiness. The Borg character was just so damned interesting and she brought a whole new interpretation of the Borg into the Star Trek universe. Her performance was ICONIC and no one can take that away from her.
If memory serves, Voyager was starting to drop in the ratings and "7 of 9" was created and "Jeri Ryan" was put in that role, I remember seeing petitions on line to help keep the show going, as well as "enterprise with Scott Bakula" yes a bit off topic, but just looking at how they costumed up "Jeri Ryan - aka 7 of 9" it was meant to draw attention to her. They did what they could to try and develop the other main characters with their own little stories, but it was "Jeri Ryan - aka 7 of 9" that helped save the show, again it's been a long time.
Please welcome to Voyager, our First Officer is Commander Chuck O. Tay! Ancestor of the famous Chuck O Cheese! He will be happy to show you around this pizza place!
Bad pronunciation of a favorite character on Voyager ("Chuck O. Tay?" ), suggests the narrator might never have watched an episode of Voyager. I find it humorous! LOL
Let's face it, "...so much focus was placed on Seven..." because Jeri Ryan was a much better actor. Very versatile and well rounded which is amazing because "Seven" the character is basically a two dimensional machine. Great addition in season 4.
@@yapdog Well when you bust your ass in acting and proving yourself. Then as the series declines a young hot sexdoll is brought in to boost ratings. Yeah you get a little jealous, resentful towards fans, and your screen time and character development is sidelined. Anyone would feel the same. Should they have continued once she showed some acting talent? No, of course not. Be professional and help teach her would have been better all the way around for the show.
@@Voodoowolfe Still not a valid reason to treat her like shit. Even less so if she had no talent. She didn't write the show. She didn't run the show. She didn't produce the show. She didn't cast the show. She wasn't millions of viewers. Mistreating her because of her popularity and appeal was misguided and immature. Showing her respect and compassion could possibly have created a better situation for all, even beyond Voyager.
When a young woman comes in to revitalize your show and comes into conflict with your Feminist ideals (Kate Mulgrew), there's going to be some ruffled feathers. As for the sidelining of characters, I think they did what they could. I like that Seven's observation of B'Elanna and Tom bothered the former. A human/Klingon pairing was already weighing heavily on B'Elanna despite Tom's reassurances (if I remember correctly) to deal with a former Borg member living on the ship and taking notes on how interspecies relationships work. The doctor's emerging interest in Seven, I think, was a nod to Data being interested in human emotion and showing that even a hologram could start to have an approximation of feeling towards another individual. Going back to Kate Mulgrew, I think it's funny that she probably didn't realize that as Borg, Seven would probably have the most physical coordination of most on the ship and would wear the least impactful clothing she could to keep up appearances while not encumbering her movements.
7 of 9 was one of the best written character in the Star Trek Universe. Its unfortunate Ryan was poorly received. She certainly was helped by being beautiful, but i think it made her character more interesting, particularly through her suffering. I make no knocks on other actors with more tenure or ostensibly talent, but you really plum the depths of humanity when you see someone beautiful twisted in agony. You can still see this develop in Picard, the suffering and the failure to come to grips with life...and a good amount of just human darkness forged from a place that few people come back from. And..i know this wont win me any points with the Trekkers, but if Ryan took screen time away from the Neelix character then that alone justifies her presence.
@@_Yep_Yep_ me too. There are writers clubs online. I'm considering joining. I don't have the names on the top of my head but you could do a Google search

Those two "Silver Screen" Divas TRULY HATED EACH OTHER in real life, and it truly enriched the screenplay... Neither of them had to ACT like they hated each other because it was REALLY THE TRUTH!!!
I don't remember Chuck O. Tay. Someone remind me who that was in the show.
Looper again not bothering how to check up on pronunciation 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

Yes for the love of GAWD redo this one with the correct pronunciation
Actually there were a few episodes in voyager where his name was pronounced CHA-KO-TAY
LoL hurts the ears when he says his name...unless he's purposely doing a Mr Garvy style.. LoL
LOL!

I’m so thankful that Seven had the opportunity to share more of her story
One of the best episodes is where the Doctor has to hide inside of Seven of Nine and Ryan does an excellent portrayal of the Doctor experiencing many sensations such as eating and drinking (alcohol) for the first time.
I really loved that episode!
Yes, that episode is great. Both actors do a great job of portraying the other's characters. Brilliant!
Yes, that was a great episode. Definitely one of my favorites from *Voyager.*
Hiw can you make.a.mistake about the pronounceation, you obviously never watched it other wise tou would know how it is said.
Jeri Ryan knocked it out of the Park👍👍👍👍 all hail the queen 👑
Too many egos.
Why. Chris Barrie and Craig Charles didn't get on either, but were amazing together in Red Dwarf.
The thing about Jeri Ryan is that she plays 7 of 9 so consistently and convincingly well.. Every gesture, every eye movement reveals the conflict and complexity going on within her character. And you don't sit there and think this is an actress playing a part, but somehow you're also thinking, "Wow, is she ever good at this."
Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) is the ideal ship captain and always played an essential role in the show, and I can see where there might be friction between Mulgrew and Ryan, because, let's face it, Ryan (no doubt unintentionally) upstaged her, and with Ryan's attributes, who can blame Mulgrew?
I love her so much. She’s such a great character. I hope she’s featured even more in season two of Picard
"A human assim-ulated..."
"Chuck-Oh-Tay"
What is up with this dude's pronunciation?
T'Vok ?
its not about the content, its about the money... no time to correct minor errors... must pump out more videos and make more money... it has nothing to do with them liking the show, but with how much they can make on it.
Maybe it's just his schtick similar to Michael Richards who used to deliberately mispronounce words as Kramer. E.g., Colifornia instead of California or Ruggay instead of Reggae.
Chuck Oh Tay sounds like a Native American word, Doesn't it?
these people dont know anything about star trek. can you imagine someone calling him chuck-o-tay ?? give me a break !!
Chuck-O tay? LOL, no my friend, Cha Ko Tay.
That's the original pronunciation of his name, as the show went on they stopped saying it that way.
Your all wrong, it's Chipotle
Thank you. If I hear him say "chuk-oh-tay" one more time...

How old are you? Did you not live in the 80's? The workout clothes women word then, and that includes jogging outfits, were all tight, shiny Spandex. This was way before seven.
Sadly, 7 out of nine women don't look like her in them.

I love how Seven and the Doc played.
Some of the best dialogues on the show. Loved it also.
The biggest theme in sci-fi has always been, “what is it, to be human?” And this was no exception. It’s why it works.
@@mikereger1186 - Yup. TOS had Spock, TNG had Data, Voyager had 7 Of 9, DSN had ... Odo, I guess, or perhaps Dax.
While Rian did an excellent job as seven i think picardo as the doctor played the best. He used humor in a cold way he actualy seems very convincing as hologram/program.
I simply LOOOOOVE Seven of Nine and I am sooooooo happy she is back in Picard, Seven is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!
I would of just play with myself Every second of it...like u have no idea

People are dissing this show, but it has its moments, like that one.
"WE ARE BORG!', yikes! As 4 the 'Picard is rubbish'-crowd: It ain't "TNG," but I dig it. Now I'm w/U in utter contempt for "STD." Like "Alien 3," just pretend it never happened.
Ha ha "Seven may have more in common with Picard that any other characters on TNG" yes, they are both played by people who can actually act.

No idea...hope they learn in future.
I literally stopped the vid! Wthhhhhh
Same as when they have musical stars of today pass judgement on shows like "I Love the 80s." F**K their opinions. They weren't even alive then. They really ought to have another narrator re-record the audio. It would probably take about half an hour and it's fixed.
Chris Bailey Exactly!
OMG! JERI RYAN is still such a lovely being!!! I was so in love with her in Voyager. I am now going to watch Star Trek's Picard, now!!! Thank you!!
It was actually really good! Thoroughly enjoyed it, and yes, 7 of 9 was amazing!
A bit like Lauren Bacall, in real life Jeri Ryan just gets better with age.
Aaaaand once again you don’t bother to check up on how to pronounce a word that is used many times in a vid.
Wow. Just wow.

jeri ryan's talent definitely matches her beauty. to be honest, i always knew she was beautiful but i never focussed on it. it was always about how good she was on screen to me.
"Why did she become so popular"? Maybe because she's $%^&* HOT.
7 of 9 was the only reason I started watching Voyager!
Why is the narrator saying Chuck O'Tay? Has he never heard about or seen the show?
Honestly, I think it was a stroke of genius, pairing Seven with Picard. I think....in some small way....he was able to help her forgive herself in a way that Janeway never could. He was able to help her find peace after Icheb's death. Captain Janeway gave Seven back her humanity. The Doctor taught Seven how to embrace it. But forgiving oneself for past trauma, is the most important part of being human....and that lesson came from Picard. Because only he could truly understand the suffering she felt.
man its sad that Icheb died... whyy! wanted to see more of him or at least know that he grew up and continued starfleet:(
Kate Mulgrew was salty because of Jeri Ryan's beauty. haha

Oh how quickly they forget... the Voyager Series was destined to be a Two Year series... until Seven of Nine emerged...
*Thank You, Jeri Ryan !!*
It was only two years for me - stopped watching after Kes left.
Your math is off... Seven joined at the beginning of the 4th year... not the 3rd.
7 still gives me a solid even 25 years later 🥰
Did you notice that in some episodes, her breasts seemed bigger? I did. She looked amazing in that catsuit.
The pronunciation of Chakotay as "Chuck-o-tay," a pronunciation that was never to my knowledge used on Voyager, evokes for me Peppermint Patty, who always called Charley Brown "Chuck."

When 7 asks you "do you wish to copulate?",you'll give her a score of 9 outta 9! LOL
Sounds to me like there was a lot of envy going on aboard the Voyager
MU G I think a lot of the “envy was really worry about becoming superfluous as a character, or even worse, eliminated like Kes. Very few Star Trek characters were able to move on in their careers once the show was over. A bit like being a child actor.
Also the fact that the showrunner Brannon Bragga was tapping da Borg ass didn't help
Even casual fans have to admit that Jeri Ryan saved Voyager. The network was going to cancel it, so, they brought in a hot new actress... No one knew she actually had talent
Jeri Ryan saved Voyager? Jeri Ryan IS Voyager.

I am femme and in total love with seven of nine. Her character on Picard is sensitive and bad ass. Love her!
Ummm, actors are male. That makes her an "actress". Lmao!
Seven and Picard effectively mind melded through the collective.
I imagine that would be like standing in a crowded stadium and saying you had a chat with someone on the other side of it.
Lols, can I have the deactivated sutra as a toy then?
Seven of Nine made voyager much better and more enjoyable, love the concept of her character and those curves!!!! I 'finished' every episode with my nacelles fully charged
What drew me for Seven was her becoming Human. Her episodes with her awkwardness (such as breaking her dates arm) or her one liners "There isn't anyone on deck....that doesn't know when you are having intimate relations"
The focus on 7 was warranted because she is a former Borg and was a very interesting character to explore not because she was beautiful.
Like any team, everyone should know their roles.
Jeri Ryan is 52. That blows my mind. She's ageless.
I would've liked to see 7 and belanna together. There was alot of tension and they have so much in common
Who the hell is chuckotay?

I think jealousy and pride gets in the way with actors. Yes, Seven is incredibly beautiful and that alone was going to raise their rating but honestly, Jeri Ryan is so talented and her character, beautiful or not, brought a lot of depth and interest to the show. She added years to their run.
This was probably the best star trek. They should do another one more like this.
This poor narrator 😂 CHAK-atay and tu-Vok have me rolling.
This was difficult to watch. Having to hear “Chuck-O-tay” made it pretty damn obvious that the narrator has never watched a single episode of ST:Voy.
or "Star Trek : V'ger" ! ha ha.
There resentment of her on a personal level actually made the show better because they were always kind of suspicious of her

Let's face it, "...so much focus was placed on Seven..." because Jeri Ryan was a much better actor. Very versatile and well rounded which is amazing because "Seven" the character is basically a two dimensional machine. Great addition in season 4.

Chuck o tay....... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I couldn't stop laughing everytime he said it.
I love Voyager. Seven and Icheb episodes were my favourite eps 😢
E-CHIP??????
Only if you think eye candy is more important than a good plot.
