@SupportGamin2024 you forgot also that the Scar's name was Taka in the book a tale of two brothers even if it's not cannon to the TLK lore. Despite TLG cannon, My headcannon is Mufasa: The Lion King

I wish they would have just called this something else. People are going to keep throwing it in with The Lion King, everything doesn't need a multiverse. The Lion King version says they're biological brothers, no adoption. Every villian doesn't have to have a sympathetic reason to be a bad guy, some villians just enjoy being villainous.
2:55 i had a few lion king books when i was younger and one of them explained that it was zazu who went and called mufasa, probably before he caught up with them before the hyenas showed up
All of the CGI Animated remakes are a separate universe. The Original Lion King, 1 1/2 and Simba’s Pride are the canonical storylines. And if you wanna go the extra mile, the Mufasa “prequel” is a combination of TLK 94’, The Lion Guard, Lion King 1 1/2, Simba’s Pride and the book A Tale of Two Brothers, which is basically the source for where they got a lot of references that they put in here. IYKYK Don’t spread misinformation that this movie is the “true” origin story. It’s a pretty decent interpretation of multiple different origin stories for these characters mashed up into one.
Looper, please twice before considering the recent CG movies as "canon" to The Lion King. They made Mufasa and Scar not actual brothers, when clearly the intent of the original film is that Scar's betrayal is so much worse because he is a blood relative of Simba and Mufasa. It takes after King Claudius in Hamlet, or Prospero and Antonio in The Tempest. Making Taka/Scar the rightful heir to his family's kingdom is a sick attempt at trying to justify Scar's murder of Mufasa and Simba to take back the throne. There is nothing that this new film does that enriches what was already well presented in the original.
It was both prequel to the Animated original Lion King/Simba's pride. They also include Kiara and spoiler alert Kion from a kids series. Felt bad for Scar he need justice. Truly heir King
Mufasa: The Lion King is the prequel to the 2019 The Lion King remake, while Simba's Pride and The Lion Guard are set in the universe of the original 1994 The Lion King, evidenced by how the Pride Lands were ruled by generations of lions before Mufasa while in the Mufasa 2024 movie, Mufasa founded the Pride Lands
I'm interested to see if they make a third movie just because of the ending. We all know it's Kion who was born, but I wonder if they are gonna build off that. I can't imagine they'd bring the lion guard in on the live action train 😂 I'd love to also see if Zira would play a roll in a third movie and if we'd get to see Kovu 🥰
I agree the new movie- Mufasa has its flaws and retcons but it is far better than what Disney has been doing recently for the other franchises! It’s a step in the right direction and we must support it toget more original movies rather than shitty remakes!
@Dahumbler89 it can't answer questions because it's a different story. They are biological brothers in the Lion King. Scar says so when he mentions Mufasa got the Lions share of strength from the gene pool while he got the brains...
I am of the opinion that they should stop the remakes and do new stuff more. Although, i admit that see Dwayne Johnson do a Maui cosplay will probably be very funny.
Growing up and being mature means realizing 2 things only about all this. Taka/Scar is in his outmost right, considering they're lions, to take out Mufasa any way he deems appropriate, as Mufasa literally acted up and done stole his entire heritage when he had the choice to just remain a subordinate warrior to Taka, regardless of what happens to the pride, you wouldn't be in it if it wasn't for Taka, so don't act up, period. Taka/Scar had no business using cubs for his plans, because we're rationalizing all of it, then it cannot go without some reasoning too that he was factually in the wrong here. Cubs shouldn't be used as bait, confronting Mufasa openly would've been the best, even if non violently, regardless, we do learn that Scar had a whole side kingdom in the wastelands and even a family sort of, he should've just stayed in his lane and renounced the pride lands, it's better for history to remember you as a betrayed prince, your children get to rewrite history for you, and they did, it only took Kovu to do it.
I'm a fan of the 2019 version more than 1994 because of SRK dubbing in Hindi and i prefer live action animation more than 1994. Not really. The land, pride held by Taka(Scars) lineage was already lost to Siros. Scars didn't win over that particular pride or land which he was entitled too. He didn't defend it. The pride that Mufasa won over is "Mele". It's a new land

I Perfer Both 1994 And 2019 😎💯👑🦁.

Omg same 0:35
And…now I have existential crisis
I love the prequel….. Mufasa death by Scar/Taka is so much more impactful, since Taka saved mufasa the same way TWICE
The 1994 version TOPS the live animation version from 2019 in every aspect.

New lion king also explain why animals from the pride lands consider mufasa as their king even thought he is a predator...
Scar killing Mufasa is less impactful now 🙄 way to go Disney...

Wrong direction. There was no need for this film. Now original and continuity is all whack
The new movie’s plot holes are too severe for it to be in the original’s continuity.

In the Lion King Animation, King Ahadi is the father of Mufasa and Taka (Scar) but in this film, King Obasi is their father? I don't get it 😅😅
The new movie is canon trash set in it's own universe 😂
