One thing I've always loved about star wars is their ships , and this was an amazing ship capable of doing light speed for long trips as well as landing in the parking lot of a quicky mart. 👽✨
Personnaly, I was blown away how efficient and practical are the proximity of the main entry to the cockpit, the cockpit to the gun area, the cockpit to the living room, the main entry to the smuggling area compartments. And i did not know that this model was designed to be modular for the buyer, which explains even more why there are corridors on the center of the ship. Beautiful model. One of the lesser known secrets of the Falcon is that the sets from the original trilogy don't really fit together in the "physical" hull. Too much set for the chassis. More than a few people have tried to square that circle over the years. This is a very nice addition to the club.

Loved this!!! Showed the video to my dad, who is a Star Wars fan since childhood. I have one idea. What if you make a "What's inside a Venator Class"? That would be awesome.
Fantastic video, but I would like to make two remarks: - Where is the bathroom? 😁 - Were there any escape pods on the Falcon for real? I just couldn't imagine Han Solo using one and leaving his ship even when there is emergency...
We see the pods used in TLJ, though not quite for the intended purpose. Han was always prepared for the worst. He would wait until the LAST possible moment, but if something went wrong and the ship was going to blow, I think he'd use it. He'd just never forgive himself for it.
He used them as a decoy in A New Hope. When the Death Star captured the ship one of the officers remarked that 'several of the escape pods have been jettisoned' Giving the illusion that Han and the crew had abandoned ship after leaving Tatooine.
This is pretty amazing! Thank you so much for doing this rendering and sharing it with us. I recently got a LEGO Millenium Falcon and I was looking for the blueprints of the original. I will be changing a few things around the inside of it to resemble the original. I’ll check what other things you’ve done. I’m sure I’ll enjoy them as well. This was also educational apart from being neat and very engaging. I appreciate you 😉👍🏽
Thank you so much for using the original millennium falcon. I was so nervous I was going to have to watch stuff involving the sequels. (We don't talk about the sequels)
That's partly true on tanks of today though, sometimes you gotta remove the entire engine to access a critical component. I'm sure there's a lot more minor access panels and crawlspaces that aren't shown here though to access some more cramped areas, but I'd guess more major maintenance overhaul would be done in spaceports where they can partially disassemble the ship due to it's modularity.
@@chompyturtle - Luxury, my friend! Lando was all about the luxury. Why would he accept the cramped quarters of a standard escape pod when he could enjoy a more spacious accommodation with more life support and control resources to reach better planets (or bring a companion).

Headcanon: The extra cargo (5:43) hold that's hidden inside a wall is where the toilet used to be. Han through that since the Falcon is so fast that he could just hold it until the next stop.
Seems like a design failure that the life support systems can only be accessed through the freight loading entrance ... in other words, you can't get to them while in space. In other models, the wall between the main hold and the forward hold (the wall between the two bunks in the "chessboard" room) is labeled as "cargo transfer hatches", which would imply you could pass cargo through. But unless a person is climbing through the "cargo transfer hatch", you need to be landed in order to have someone pass it through to the other side. And why have hatches instead of simply a door with a rail system where people could pass through, move the cargo easily at port, access ALL of the cargo during spaceflight, as well as fix a failing life support system mid-flight? I hate myself for actually typing this.

I had a fun stem teacher back in middle school who showed us this video for fun. This was during my peak fandom for Star Wars, so it’s a memory I’m likely never to forget.
Good to know. I always wondered about the cargo space considering it really doesn't look like it could haul much. Makes more sense now that you explained how it pushed mass carbo. After all these years I don't have to be baffled the next time I watch a star wars movie
YES
MORE STAR WARS
PLEASE PLEASE DO THE IMPERIAL START DESTROYER NEXT
Luca Ortolani that’s a heck of a lot bigger than the Millennium Falcon
I'd prefer the death star instead. 😎
*i to like the start deystroyer*
Nice work. Trivia: Originally the cockpit could rotate, and the normal "space mode" was sideways like a sunfish, but going "saucer" mode for landings. They abandoned this idea as superfluous though as the Falcon twists and turns so much while manouvering in battle.
Sounds cool. I think they might've recycled the telescopic cockpit idea for the B-wing bombers.
This might be the coolest thing I've seen all year!!!!

I flew a few years with the YT-1300 as Commander Pilot and must say this animation is pretty acurate. Landing the YT-1300 on rough terrain was tricky and was always done on manual control. Hyperdrive was the most fun and saved us a lot of time with flying. I mis the high quality seats which you’ll not find in the newest types.

Not a shitter apparently.

Men, thanks god, this video was so cool and interesting, more videos with star wars ships
Watching Star Wars is one of the earliest memories of my life. Thanks for making this nostalgic and informational video. This has motivated me to go and watch empire strikes back again for the 50th time
and I agree that is the best Star Wars movie ever made and the one I would watch when wanting to feel myself in the Star Wars universe again.
I have HUGE respect for TESB, but in my honest opinion masterpiece called 'Return of the Jedi' is even better. It's a really exciting movie from start to finish ⭐
@@Jacques_the_Rooster Well if the competition is between these two, I don't mind. They are both great films :) But then again the first "a new hope" for other reasons is great as well :)
Everyone is talking about a toilet and I’m here wondering about the artificial gravity.
James B Hollingsworth exactly and inertial dampers.
Probably included in life support
Everyone just has magnets in their shoes and on the bottom of coffee cups.
I'm wondering something like the grav plating in the ST universe.
@@frostyvr9805 Can't be included in Life Support. If life support fails then you can repair it efficiently, if the inertial dampers are tied in with the life support, then the life support fails automatically when the damper do.
This is why we can all agree that Star Wars is science fantasy, not fiction, for proper sci-fi watch Star Trek. I love me some captain Picard!
I have to say, this is probably the best interior of the Falcon video on TH-cam. Please consider doing one on the Slave I (I refuse to call it a FireSpray).
The best explanation of a sci-fi ship I've seen so far !!!
The mandibles being designed to push cargo makes the YT make so much more sense. It's so overpowered because it's really a kind of tug, designed to push masses of cargo much larger than the ship itself.
All what you’re saying doesn’t matter, because there’s no weight for anything in space, it’s all weightless due to no gravity
@@kellylarsen7280 there is still mass. F=ma still applies in zero g.
@@kellylarsen7280 There is mass and there is gravity.....so again....space tug. Terrible designed space tug ( have to flip the ship around to retro burn) but space tug.
@@kellylarsen7280 If that's true, then what stopped the Apollo astronauts from going superluminal?
Awesome job, Jared. Many of us had no idea as to the layout of that interior, but many probably wondered...thanks.
This is great , I've always wanted a detailed guilded tour of the millennium falcon. I think it's small size is why it's so fast . One thing I've always loved about star wars is their ships , and this was an amazing ship capable of doing light speed for long trips as well as landing in the parking lot of a quicky mart. 👽✨
Been enjoying your videos lately. I would love to see a video like this covering more star wars ships and even some star trek ships as well.
I'm blown away how inefficient space is used in that ship. Corridors, open spaces, divided rooms that need a detour to access, to many entrances.
And wanky ads. You forgot that.
It makes the ship an ideal smuggler's ship.
And i am always blown away as all these was imagined in 1970 by GL and its crew :)
@@DarthRedbeard look I know it's intention wasn't to get a realistic model. They propably couldn't know it was going to be such a succes. First priority was for it to look cool and that's it. But still it's unefficient in it's layout. And yes, a pretty good job considering it was made in 1970 when all the fancy 3D tools wheren't present to help them modelling / making these conceptarts and such. So not a critique on that ;-)
The reality is George Lucas said "make a ship that looks like a hamburger" and here we are.

@@EarmonkeyMusic Sigh...yes I know, but the Falcon doesn't look like a hamburger at all.

The original design looked too much like the Space 1999 Eagle, so Lucas asked for a saucer design and the result was what he have.
Would be great to have a first-person walkthrough of this model.
I particularly respect how you added elements only mentioned in some novels and EU materials. Thanks.

No toilet. Just open the hatch, go outside, take a dump, use "The Imperial Post" to wipe your ass.
They might now show it in diagrams
Beautiful model. One of the lesser known secrets of the Falcon is that the sets from the original trilogy don't really fit together in the "physical" hull. Too much set for the chassis. More than a few people have tried to square that circle over the years. This is a very nice addition to the club.
Well said , but it's a beautiful impossibility. 👍

I have one idea. What if you make a "What's inside a Venator Class"?
That would be awesome.
Fantastic video, but I would like to make two remarks:
- Where is the bathroom? 😁
- Were there any escape pods on the Falcon for real? I just couldn't imagine Han Solo using one and leaving his ship even when there is emergency...
We see the pods used in TLJ, though not quite for the intended purpose.
Han was always prepared for the worst. He would wait until the LAST possible moment, but if something went wrong and the ship was going to blow, I think he'd use it. He'd just never forgive himself for it.
Also i couldnt see any way to reach front cargo holds. Only by the door at front.
I could see Han escaping using the fridge from the kitchen ;)
He used them as a decoy in A New Hope. When the Death Star captured the ship one of the officers remarked that 'several of the escape pods have been jettisoned' Giving the illusion that Han and the crew had abandoned ship after leaving Tatooine.

Gotta love how there's no access to the most critical systems...
( this channel will become very famous if you do movies )
I like how there's no way to get to the front cargo area from inside the ship
Seems like that might be important. You know just in case you need to repair life support.
so that original escape pod was just a giant paper weight
@@chompyturtle - Luxury, my friend! Lando was all about the luxury. Why would he accept the cramped quarters of a standard escape pod when he could enjoy a more spacious accommodation with more life support and control resources to reach better planets (or bring a companion).

In most renditions of the Falcon there’s been a doorway between the cockpit corridor and the holochess board.
