I've got no problem with Disney now owning Star Wars but I hated how they made everything that was Canon in the Expanded Universe into Legends like here's an example of it the Darth Plagueis novel was orginally Canon but now it turned into Legends like SERIOUSLY DISNEY?!

Maybe even go so far as to track the "grapes" down himself, a small portion of his Jedi upbringing telling him to save at least this much, even if twisted by the dark side as "just a thing that is mine and serves a purpose"

In my opinion, Dooku is one of the most underrated star wars characters. Lee is an excellent actor, and I think if they developed his character more by giving him more screen time, Dooku could have become a more iconic villan.

I think Count Dooku is more a Felix type of guy.
One of the few sins of The Clone Wars series was that we never got a full good look at Soreno, Dooku's perception among his people or at the CIS as a whole.
I completely agree. His interactions and image among the Separatists in the Dark Disciple book was probably my favorite part.
King Edward "Longshanks" I, Hammer of the Scots, Lord of Wales and King of England Aye. That was one of the weaknesses for the show. While it developed its heroes, and some of the morally grey characters like Ventress, we never see anything from the villains aside from Maul. It would've been nice to see an arc centered around Grievous's life in the Confederacy, comparing it to the life he once lived as a Kaleesh Warrior. Or something along those lines.
Preach. I'd have loved to see them explore Dooku's life.

I want feel like Dooku wan't really a villian, he was just doing necessary evil for what he thought was a greater good, only to end up a disposable pawn of Palpatine, however I didn't like at times how TCW show turned him into a saturday morning cartoon villain that did flat out despicable things, no different than Vader or Palpatine.
I agree. The way he was set up in Attack Of The Clones made him look like a much more nuanced and interesting character. It looked like he was trying to overthrow the Republic because of the corruption and because he knew Palpatine was a Sith, so he wanted to create a new government and then betray Sidious, possibly with help from Obi Wan. That would be much more interesting than just another personification of evil like he was in TCW.

I always assumed the the dark side starting influencing his actions more in the clone wars.
Dooku became a very evil man. It didn't happen overnight, but no matter how noble his initial motivations might've been, what he became was downright despicable.
This is the way I see it: Dookus existence went downhill because he tried to overthrow the Republic due to its corruption but in doing so he himself became corrupted by the dark side so over time he became more evil, eventually becoming unrecognizable. Wish he was fleshed out more though.

Well, that does go a long way towards explaining why Palpatine eventually went with Anakin.
He was planning to go with Anakin since he became a Padawan. Dooku was just a placeholder as far as a Sith apprentice went.

Sidious didn't foresee Mustafar and thus planned for Anakin to reach his true, full potential - that is, the level beyond anyone in the history of the galaxy ("Darth Vader will become more powerful than either of us!" referring to himself and the second strongest being in the galaxy at the moment). Dooku could never be powerful enough to replace Anakin because nobody could, not Yoda himself if he turned to the Dark Side.
Dooku was a hell of a placeholder though. Only in Palpatine's mind and in comparison to Anakin's peak potential can Count Dooku be even called a placeholder, the guy fought Grandmaster Yoda on equal terms, trashed Obiwan effortlessly twice (the guy who's weaker, younger self murdered Darth Maul), incredibly powerful and intelligent.

It has been about a year since last first discovered this channel. I was a dumb sixth grader who thought he knew practically everything about Star Wars. One day I was surfing around on You Tube and came across the video-"How did Commander Wolfe lose his eye? " From that point I was hooked. I had discovered Star Wars You tube. In a weekend I watched pretty much every" Fact Free" video there was to date. I thought I knew Star wars then, it's nothing compared to now. I am a fan of other Star wars channels, but you will always be my favorite.

Dooku is my all time favorite Sith lord in StarWars.
I just love his elegance and fighting style. His 1 handed form II Makashi fighting style is truly badass. I'm also a fan of his unique curved lightsaber hilt which assisted him in defeating Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker in AOTC.
I also love his fancy style with his fine clothing and gentleman like manner.

thrawn would probabily kick most of the characters butts about 80-90% of them in multiple ways including most of the force sensitive ones. due to his skills in leadership, research analaysis, behavior, & initiating plans

Vos had become quite powerful. If Dooku had truly succeeded in turning him I think it would have been only a matter of some months before he attempted to kill Sidious. I wonder how Vos would have been able to stand up to Sidious. He was incredibly unpredictable as a swordsman. He legitimately defeated Dooku in a duel in Dark Disciple, even though Dooku was wounded. That puts him on a very shortlist.
