    Love this message! You hit on such key bible verses that the Lord gave us in order for us all to achieve peace and rest. As always a great string along, great stories, great music and total positivity in a world where there can be so much negativity. I love to hear you talk about other musicians you've played with and how you always edify them in your comments. In an industry that is so competitive, you love and cherish all those musical moments with other musicians and put the Lord first in it all! It's awesome how you minister to other musicians. Such a great ministry. Thank you for all you do and for your shining light!

    Excellent talk today as usual. Great music too. Doyle your singing is ever better. Glad you include some vocals from time to time as part of praises to God during the Sunday String Along. Yes, calm, peace, and assurance of spiritual Christian tools God has given us and the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost as sometimes known as. God's will is done and even Christians have times of stress, illness and spiritual attacks - even sometimes criminal attacks. Glad you put the anecdotes in your book even though those memories are unpleasant. Your book is excellent and has been very helpful to me. Same for this Sunday String Along.

    Thanks so much for sharing your passion for God and guitars. You bring back so much of the memories of my father playing his 59 Gretsch Tennesseeian in church. You, Chet and Mark were his Heroes. Why worry when you have peace that passes understanding.

Dare I say that your pastoral gifts approach both the power and delicacy of your inspired and masterful playing - in the service of, and in praise to, the Lord. I look forward to these each week. Right on cue! In one of my devotionals this morning, it said, “Is Thy path lonely? Fear it not, for He
    Who marks the sparrow’s fall is guarding thee;
    And not a star shines over Thy head by night, but He hath known that it will reach thy sight;
    And not a joy can beautify thy lot, But tells thee still that thou art unforgot;
    No, not a grief can darken or surprise, swell in thy heart, or dim with tears thine eyes, But it is sent in mercy, and in love, to bid thy helplessness seek strength above.🙏

    Thanks for this String A Long and the message. Chris update: We are 8 months into diagnosis and treatments for her lung cancer. It’s been 12 weeks since her last chemo. She has completed 15 rounds of radiation therapy and rang the bell. She continues with immunotherapy and we are expecting another CT scan in early April. The oncologist is expecting positive results. She has put on about 12 pounds and her hair is now about an inch long. Her energy level is close to normal activities. Thanks to you Doyle and all who have offered prayers as we have been on this journey. Please keep us in your prayers as we deal with what’s to come. My prayer is that these cancer cells totally leave her body and total remission is achieved . That is our prayer and hope . I meditate often on the faith of as much as a mustard seed can move mountains when you believe. Today we are in very positive territory on this journey and give thanks for it daily. I like you, Doyle. Heard "these uncertain times" far too often. Each time it worked against the grain of my hope in Jesus. Deep within I knew the certainty.
    Hearing your song La Certeza brought me such peace. It put a sparrow smile in my soul and a "burl,burl,burl ... bollworm" in my heart. Did I spell that correctly? LOL
    These past three years, my son (in his early 30s) has experienced deep depression, including suicidal thoughts. This has been very challenging and difficult.
    I ask for your prayers for him.
    I enjoy your ministry, praise GOD I went on singing...

    Doyle: I've been playing guitar for 54 years. I gave a Strat to my daughter for her 8th grade graduation hoping one day she would learn to play. Well, after 19 years of it sitting in the closet unplayed, I decided to finally take it out and use it at church. So yeah, like you, I've never owned or played a Strat in all those years! I was always a Telecaster (my first good electric) and a Les Paul guy! Her Strat matches my 5 string Fender bass (in color) which I also play at church. But still, my Telecaster sees more playing time over all. Stay safe on the road. :)

    🤣🤣🤣🤣The opening caught me off guard... Doyle, a man must know his limitations. Your finger pickin' is plum blisteratin' In fact,it is the very epitome of blisterfication by anyone's standards. But Chet couldn't "get down" either, leave that stuff to SRV and Eric J. The 2nd song is a favorite of mine. Why Worry ... and Tahitian Skies are sooo similar and sooo beautiful it's impossible to pick between them... or to tell them apart🤔. Mark Knopfler and Chet did beautiful recordings of them both I've listened to them side by side and still remain confused in their beauty.

    I couldn’t watch this. The plandemic is too painful a subject to tolerate. I was forced out of work and we barbers were vilified as super spreaders or whatever. Next week.

      It’s a tough subject, but we have all gone through it. My son-in-law was also a barber. Tough times. Not many calls for a guitar player either but yet I’m so thankful He was there and still is. He even blessed us through it. I hope things are going well for you now. God can make up the difference.
