    Thank you for producing a very helpful video, I all but tore the fixture out of the ceiling while painting because I expected it would be one like my other bath that is on those spring things (if I recall correctly?) damaging the edge of the grill. Torqued off because of the high ceiling and limited usefulness of a ladder in the tub, have left it 1/2-axed for several months not eager to cramp my neck again from looking up for so damn long jacking with it. Recently I came across a display of replacement grills and surmised which one is the right one and lo and behold it is. Back to the ladder joke in the tub which is unworkable safety-wise; tho do have a Gorilla folding bench that is too large but okay to put in tub 1/2 way and was able to see in enough to discern the acorn nut attachment and remove the reflector intact. So here I’ve landed to get educated by a guy of substantial experience on how to install the new lens/grill. Thx!

    This was EXTREMELY helpful. I live with my sister and this needed to be cleaned, after the passing of two dogs. The housing is not flush to the square hole and there is a lot of debris in and around the fan. There is nothing wrong with the fan but I am going to need to take everything out to carefully clean, not just the fan, but the entire cavity. I was at a loss but now with this video, it's very doable. I'm not afraid of simple home repairs and I would normally not tackle anything electrical but your videos show that it's not to difficult! I appreciate it and I'm sure my sister will too. (Since she would have to pay for the electrician! It's technically her house!)

I believe most of bulb selection is the color choices that are available today. I asking the customers , if you were to use the bathroom in the middle of the night 🤔 what color would be best for you to see but not blind you?
      2700k=soft yellow🤔
      3000k=soft clear🤨
      4000k= bright white 👍🏻

    Hello, thank you for posting this video. Can you please tell me what size the screw and acorn nut is that attaches the reflector the motor above? Broan wants a high price just for the screw and acorn nut and I can’t afford that. Is the size #10-24x0.75 hex head screw, and acorn nut #10-24? Is this correct? I had some work done and they lost the screw and cap nut so I’m trying to find replacement that’s not from Broan and not plastic from Amazon. Thanks for posting this video!

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune. That is a great question about size that I didn't talk about in the video. I just pulled one out of the box and check. Broan uses a #10x24 x ¾" long hex headed
      (self tapper) With a #10-24 acorn nut. A standard machine bolt of the same size will do the job just fine.

    I watched all your videos, but still can’t figure out how to get the glass dome off. I don’t think it’s plastic. It sounds like tempered glass and it doesn’t have the two tabs on each side that has two tabs on one side with arrows. We’ve tried pushing both arrows that way to remove the glass to no avail. Have you come across the fan like this? Almost seems as if there’s a lip under the plastic housing so the glass won’t fall out?? I’m at a loss. Any suggestions?

    This is a long shot but I just watched your video on the Broan 678 exhaust fan/light. Is it possible to tell me/show how to re-wire so that both the exhaust fan and light come on at the same time. I only have one switch. Thank you

    • @workingmanrondoyle3287
      @workingmanrondoyle3287  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching and commenting. I sure can. The Broan 678 model exhaust fan/light combo has a removable 45°corner that holds two non-grounded outlet.
      Start with shutting off the right breaker that supply's power to the switched location. Install a ½" cable clamp in this removable 45° bracket. Next wire your house ground to the Broan's housing by bonding it to the green ground screw on this 45° removable part. Then wire nut the two white wires to your house's white neutral. Lastly tie both of the fan's hot wires to your switched hot. Reinsert the 45° corner which houses both outlets. Insert the main fan assembly. Plug in the fan to one of the outlets. Plug the light into the opposite outlet. Reinstall the light housing / grill as described in the video. Turn the breaker on and you are set.. any other questions let me know.
