    What would I do differently at the fan/light if I wanted them both to run off one switch and only ran 14-2 to the unit?

      Hey Anthony, thanks for watching. If your only running 1 switched 14-2 NM wire to the fan/light combo, You would connect the ground to the ground screw, connect the two whites coming from the outlets neutral to the house's natural and then connect the blue and black from the fan/light outlets to the house's black (switched hot). Wiring the fan/light combo this way will turn both of them on at the same time.

We'd like to go with an electric stove/range and I know that we're going to have to install the correct outlet that can handle the electric current. I have been doing electrical for 25 years and have far too many meters. Some very old. My Simpson is in for repairs, but it has tested more circuits than I ever will. This Klein CL110 is not and will not be top of the line, but it will get the job done. Mine has been all over 480/277 208/240/120. Even a bit of 5v 12v and 24v. Honestly, if you see a plastic part, don't expect it to last too long bouncing around a metal truck. Also, if it's only 50-75$ in this day and age, don't expect miracles of durability. You get what you pay for. I am just being honest. My old Simpson has plastic all over it, but it sure *looks* and feels sturdier than the Klein plastic. Eyes, ears, and brains. Use them. PS: This Klein CL110 is probably the 11th or 12th meter I have ever had, it's simply not the best. It *does* do the job well if you take care of it though.

    The thing with most box store splitters is, they up the rating by using a larger hydraulic cylinder. But they don't put a bigger engine or pump on the things and then ya end up with these glacial speeds. The real problem is continental ( tectonic ) drift ... in some places it outruns the splitter wedge and its just messy having to turn to around all the time

He said if this wasn't possible I could dig a horizontal trench below the frost line for the area I'm working an install a grounding 2½ times the length of a normal length rod laying down. That would be a 20' rod for every 8' rod that was required to meet the 25 ohm's or less . Please check with your local electrical inspector about ground rod installation for Rocky conditions. @workingmanrondoyle3287 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching and commenting. It can be taken down from the bottom side but will be a little destructive to it if you're planning on using it over. First step is to pry the sheet metal away from the stud side of the fan. Second step is to use a long sawzall with a metal cutting blade to cut the screws or nails that is attached with. If you have a deep ceiling cavity, you should be able to finagle the fan out of the hole without causing much sheetrock damage. I hope this helps you and your efforts!

    • @workingmanrondoyle3287
      @workingmanrondoyle3287 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Chris thanks for watching and commenting. Nm-b wire is allowed in residential settings to feed equipment, as long as its away from anything which could cause physical wire damage. aka:closets, utilities, pump houses to serveable equipment. There is (no code) saying you can't feed circuits with 14-3. You just can't feed a smoke alarm circuit with 14-3 ! The Red wire in a smoke alarm circuit is listed as the communication wire that cannot go back to the panel!

    I wonder if their factory track tension is simply just set to tight, therefore wearing out the sprocket and causing damage. I think your conventional ctl's require 1/2" of space between the rollers and the track on the bottom when lifted in the air. Because is doesn't look like you got to wear out even half of the tread on those old tracks.
