I did like the bit where Picard told Worf he understood. They had been through so many experiences with Klingon culture that even as a human Picard could pick up on the subtleties. He probably also realized that this was Worf finally putting that chapter of his life behind and he wasn't about to push the matter.

How many times has Picard participated in Klingon only events? lol
      I've lost count.
      I think he understands ;)

Yes, Picard understood to never bring Kitomer up again.

It was a great line that went over the reviewers' heads but at least most of us figured it out.

After Picard having been Worf’s ChaDich (or however that’s spelt), and the Klingon Arbiter of Succession, _and_ him unloading a bunch of Klingon swearing in that episode where Geordi got brainwashed by Romulans, I can buy him understanding at the end.

Regarding the Romulans pointing two guns at Worfs head. That was an update to Romulan military doctrine to combat plot armour. It is very effective.

Writer A: I have a story idea, but it will only take 25 minutes of run timer.
Writer B: I have a story idea as well but it will take a full hour of runtime.
Executive: We need to advertise Deep Space 9.

3:25 aaah Wharf, always boasting about being klingon but he's always got half-breed fever.
...well I guess Dax isn't half-breed but she's got that partial Klingon culture past life or whatever so that counts.

6:10 ...Picard was a Chateetch, an arbiter, a ...whatever all those funny names the Klingons give outsiders for participating in their "Klingon only events".
    I think Picard understands.

Well to answer that question, "Romulans I always knew they were without honor now they proved it" season 5 finale of DS9.

Thank God humanity got over all its internal struggles before going to the stars. Imagine having to deal with our own issues around these space racists.

7:50 Their relationship should have been explored in later Trek shows. Like when Wharf is on DS9 because of failing ratings, Hollywood can do what they do best by adding a Child to the show by having the Romulans drop of Wharfs kid at DS9.

This is one of the few times were captain Pikard quite frankly showed some character. He knew there was a prison camp there but he didn’t respect war and his decision pretty cool.

I agree with the grade here, B to B+, and yes I'm glad they didn't go back to the Data dreaming plot for part 2 and only picked up the thread with the emotion chip plot through S7 and the movies. While the Worf episodes were generally good, I don't think that they excelled like episodes that were Picard-heavy.
As for the criticisms at the end, Picard isn't saying that he understands that there are Klingons remaining in custody, he understands that that is Worf's position and not to raise questions about Kitomer.
As for the Klingon child not reacting to humans, Worf could have told him offscreen that he was raised by human guardians.
The reason this isn't an A is because of a lack of a 'B' plot (wrapped up in part 1), which doesn't let you take a break from the Kitomer story. You're either into Klingon culture, or this is a snore. But it's good character development and development of the Romulans and Klingons, so this isn't a C grade episode either. I liked it, but it wasn't one of my favorites. Keep up with the reviews! I agree more with Nick than Robert generally, but it's interesting to hear a newbie's take on seeing TNG for the first time, even if he's clearly not a fan of Picard or Q...

Picard understood. It's fairly unbelievable that a Klingon ship that no one knew about would have crash landed near Romulan space with no evidence or search party and that the Romulans would just so nicely turn them over. And only children survived. He also would know that even if Worf found his father alive, there's a good chance he'd never admit to it because Picard knows Klingons better than almost any human. It's pretty reasonable that he would surmise there's something Worf isn't telling him but that it's better to let it go. Good writing. Bad review.

I will give it a B for Broadcasting standards. We would have loved to see Worf nearly all naked singing Klingon Ophra on top of the wall. You do not need to be that creative to have fun.

So am i the only person who thinks "Liqour" the Klingon, is actually Warf's Father Mouge, and he refused to let his son disgrace the house. By bringing him home alive, so he told his oen son he was dead, and he had no t been using his clan name wile in prison

Liked this episode more than part 1 as well. Strong B. Good character development in this one. Some lazy writing, maybe? But still a good episode. Good review.

The episode was awful, because Worf massively violated The Prime Directive. Once it was explained the reason The Klingons were there was revealed, Worf had no right to impose his HIS idea of how Klingons should behave. So these parents whom suffered so much already, losing there first families at home, were forced to suffer again, as Worf convinced thier only comfort soliace the children they had in the camp to leave, never to return.
Worf came off as very selfish. If Picard knew the truth, Worf would be up on charges, for interfering with society and violating his oath as a Starfleet Officer.
Worf will do similar things on DS9. Some Klingons never learn
I give the episode an "F" for failure😡

I'm returning to this channel to see TNG reviews so it's bit annoying when you put up some movie review instead, like it happened last week - sorry but I do not care about those & don't watch those. Maybe I'm the only one, maybe many other viewers feel the same - I just hope you won't make it a pattern just to stretch out the remaining TNG reviews
