That microphone on HS80 Wireless is unbelieveable! 😳
It’s pretty garbage for sound. If all you care about is a mic buy a antlion wireless mic. I had the hs80 and gave it to my lil bro. I got the maxwell which actually has a better mic.
@@Criticalmazedoes it support multi connection?
@@Criticalmaze Then you didn't know how to tune it properly in Dolby.
@@Criticalmazedo you know any good wireless headphones for gaming? tryna find some and use an external mic
@@iluviayze oh boy i was waiting for this question. Do have or want an amp?
The HS80 had the best sounding microphone hands down
Bro the one I bought is like a defect
Nah. Blaclshark sounds miles better.
too bad everyone says it sounds like ass..
HS80 mic was the most natural to me, i have a HS65 SURROUND and i love it
I’ve bought mine hs65 like a year ago and pretty soon the plastic head band cracked. Is it just me, or is it a common issue? (this is the only issue I had)
@@dreepzz6086 yep, one of my only two gripes with it, the metal support inside mine is still fine though.
@@dreepzz6086just happened to me the other day😅
@Lakerici sadge, must've been a faulty unit
@Lakerici was it the unit?
Can you make a budget version?
The HS 80 sounds much better then 1 Place
I own one. The sound of the microphone is very close to real life. However, you cannot adjust the distance of the microphone to your mouth, it is a stiff microphone. Keep in mind that it is also very sensitive. It is very hard to balance it for example in discord so it stays sensitive enough to pick up your voice but it is not too sensitive to pick up more than that.
Agreed. By far
@@NoFaileri have it too. It can bend. Try it out, I set it closer to my mouth because volume was too soft otherwise.
If sounding better you mean it sounds way harsher and got lower dynamic range, yes. It so much better in a worse sense.
@@canderson7776
I have used the HS80. Alot people seems to forget that the corsair does not have noise cancelling mic. So it picks alot of background noise like other people around you.
So if you shares a room with your sibling you better off with different mic.
HS80 sounds just like your professional mic??? SO good
No it doesn't lmao, you just cant tell
its not even close bro what

nothing beat the Maxwell
just bought the steelseries arctis pro wireless. I have to say, the software and user experience of these headphones is next. level. I'll take this level of convenience and ease of use over a little bit of sound quality any day.
You can use sonar with any headphones I believe.
Heard you in advance, got an Audeze Maxwell 2 weeks ago, it's great !
Just got the XT after watching your vid on the original model. The build quality except for the ear cups pads and the versatility is just excellent
the corsair?
Bought Corsair Virtuoso XT because of both Bluetooth and 2.4 Wireless connection, using them for 2 years already, but boy, are they freaking hot.
Even with Wicked Cushions cooling pads it's still kinda too hot.
@@ruslanetss what will you suggest? turtle beach stealth pro?
Hs80 has a awesome mic especially for that price
I have a 350 euro mic setup but i still reguarly swap to my hs80 just so i wont have to bother with staying infront of the mic
The cheapest one here is 100$ I guarantee it.
Picked up an astro a30 mando edition for 150 on prime day. Best 150 spent in a while.
Was just about to ask that when we get a review for the Maxwell as they truly seem to be the ones!
Kinda wish you talked about price, cause that is main deciding factor.
I still enjoy my Beyerdynamic DT 770s
Better than all of these if you can sacrifice the features and functions.
Selling mine and rode NT usb for HS80. I hate cables and like the convenience of a gaming headset.
I recently got the Kraken X and I have to say that for a budget headset, the mic is quite nice.
As someone who owns the Blackshark V2 Pro and the Kraken V3 Pro, I would give it to the Kraken as it sounds much better and has better directional audio for FPS games.
Really? I thought the black shark v2 pro sounded pretty decent for $100. I mean I’d rather use iems or normal headphones, but still pretty decent for games.
@@Hijynx87which iems?
@@golgariplague4746same, in the process of looking for a new HS and very bad reviews on the shark.
@@AquaLady153 i recomend Linsoul ZS10 and the Tin T2
Love the maxwell. Cant wait to hear your thoughts
i got QC45 a couple years ago, does all i need AND its god tier on a plane
Got a pair of Audio Technica m50x and a pair of Sennheiser 560s. 560's sound amazing for basically every scenario, and I can hear footsteps stupidly clear. If you have to get a wireless headset though, I can understand that.
I just wish they could be a decent option for like music and stuff
Can’t wait for your Maxwell review!
I just got my maxwells yesterday, switching from the cloud ii wireless, and omg they are so good
I’m seriously about to buy these things
@@Cause023how are they
I got mine for two weeks to. For fps gaming my beyerdynamic mmx300 does it better, if you wanna hear only music or just like that, order it!
And it is so uncomfortable!!
@@EmreB_38 I’ve had mine since release and they are great. Use them daily
Want to hear your take on Maxwell since the audiophile guys like it so much!
It’s pretty good, but I liked the penrose more. At least from memory lol.
The sound quality on the microphones of all Logitech headsets is absolutely deplorable
I think the logitech mic gets a bad rap from reviewers. You can adjust the mic EQ a ton in the software and make it sound good, and if you get the blue ice pop it is even better with tuning. Its like none of the reviewers ever do anything with all the tools you get.
Pro-tip: the black shark Mic works on the G pro X2
The three kings of computer stuff reviews: the three Canucks at your channel!
I got a Razer Black shark, broke after a single year, so much for reliability. Got myself wired studio-grade headphones, and been loving them ever since.
Which headphones? Tbh the only gaming headsets that can compete with actual headphones are the audeze offerings and maybe the vzr model one. Oh and the pc38x.
@@Hijynx87 Rolling with a pair of DT770’s, they are solid, especially for the price tag. I mean I appreciated having a wireless headset but running out of battery is one thing, but also more stuff that can go wrong with the unit. I had some really good Razer stuff, just felt betrayed when my headset broke, quality isn’t there.
Hi! Thx for your awesome reviews. I'm thinking of buying Logitech Pro X2 or Steelseries arctis Nova pro.
Which would you pick?
I was so excited and was about to buy a Corsair HS80 because of the mic but I just realised it doesn’t work on Xbox😔😔😔😔😔😔😔
Notify me when they do full range microphones. Cutoff at 10 kHz is still unacceptable. (Wow, Razer even has a misleading graphic of the frequency response curve on their site!!)
Love my razer barracudas tbh, I like how I can put the dongle in my phone to use it on the go
I kind of wanted the samples of the nova pro ...
Which one to pick between HS80 Max and Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 , for PS5/phone combination ?
Battery life has never been my main concern. Audio quality has.
Unfortunately both the mics and the headphones have always been subpar and overly expensive. It makes sense since they need to pack the board and chips for delivery as well as a battery where cable headphones have extra room.
pro x 2 sound exactly like blaza bro 💀💀
If guys have to choose epos h6pro or razer blackshark pro, what are guys gonna pick?
Probably the best sounding wireless anything microphone i've heard ever, however, I still personally would go the wired route but that's just my choice :)
I can't wait for your Maxwell review
HS80 has the best mic of the lot
The rest actually sounded terrible and comparing them to desktop mics makes no difference
Yeah the blackshark did not sound like desktop dynamic mic quality as he said. The HS80 sounded great though!
Even hs65 has really good mic, almost indifferentiable from hs 80 and its a little more affordable
It’s a bummer that the HS80 doesn’t have bluetooth and good battery life tho :(
Still sticking with the Drop x Sennheiser PC38x
Wired > Wireless anyday.
which one has is the easiest to clean and replaceable earcups? for sweaty gamer living in hot climate.
I'm currently prefer wired earbuds because of sweat
What’s the best for Xbox, I want to be able to hear/distinguish where the enemy is/ which direction he’s/they are coming.
I want to know distortion and frequency response linearity data on any headphone before I'm willing to even consider it.
Which one though.. for the best sound quality, mic doesn't matter
Have you heard the new turtle beach stealth pro headset
There is a pair of redragon wireless headphones that are like $80 that look pretty good and redragon usually has really good quality products for lowish prices
Wireless also means that hacking your pc is more likely to happen
Corsair afaik is the only one that uses a separate channel for mic and audio
None of the headset mics could remotely keep up with the mic you are recording with.
Yes...but do they beat the senhisser 6xx/ 58x jubilee?
Wow my Logitech G Pro X2's mic sounds way better then that what.. Actually kept them over the Blackshark v2 Pro 2023's because the mic on those kept cutting in and out.
When do the good ones get shown ?
I dont understand why you guys are the only ones that have issues with logitech mics. They are excellent and work well
I just want to ask your suggestion on which gaming headset is good for mic and hearing stuff Also im only streaming on the ps5?
eh you lost me at bass heavy. Gaming headsets are mostly bass heavy which should not be the case when most important sound cues are mids to highs
Blacksharks aren't
Oh boy don't tempt me with new blacksharks, love mine and they still work great :)
Wow, you go to the headset mic and immediately audio quality drops massively. I mean... why not just use a normal set of headphones and a mic? I'm not seeing the argument tbh.
Not sure if they they best gaming headset for positional audio cuz its hard for me to tell. Might be a skill issue. But the 300 hour battery on the cloud alphas is no joke. I charge them like once a month its awesome
sorry but i stay with my G935 with deep earcups and wopping 4hours battery life
I work in a factory. I want ANC, Pad Cooling, and a mic, none of those headsets you mention are compatible for that :(
Just use tws buds or Bose/Sony anc headphones. You’d be better off going for something with decent passive isolation too, anc doesn’t protect your hearing.
im watching this on a broken JBL Quantum 400, which is ass, because basically you can choose between a find sounding mic and terrible audio...or audio and an ass mic. now i gotta go get a new one.
Which one has the best surround sound?
HS80 for the win .. but i gave up on all the gaming trash and bought myself a DAC and Hifi Headphones and attached a ModMic onto it. All custom, just like my PC. It's a fun experience. Your ears deserve it.
So glad you got the wicked cushions for that Nova Pro Dimitri. Imo they were the icing on the cake that brought the headset into S tier.
Which wc? The gel? To me they sounded worse, but yeah super comfy.
@@Hijynx87 Yeah I got the gel, the cooling effect fades kinda quickly after you put them on but overall the cushions are a huge improvement over stock 👌
When you mentioned that "all the basic drawbacks have been ironed out" I thought you would talk about audio latency and potential signal drops/interference too.
I have the Arctis 9X and holy shit does it constantly have interference all the time on my Xbox.
Because it is not a problem? At least I don't have such a problem on any of my wireless devices.
@@WildStyle I've swapped out my Arctis 9X three times under warranty and it still has tons of wireless interference/drops. I think it just may be an issue with this particular headset but it doesn't make me confident in wireless headsets that's for sure.
@@suisiders7181 Well can be a frequency issue. If you live in an area that uses a lot of the same frequency as your headset it might create an issue. My mod mic wireless doesn't like to be plugged next to any other wireless device... Move it a little bit off less than 30cm and it works fine. You can try using your controller wired, just to see. Maybe something else that runs wireless.
@@suisiders7181Put the receiver closer maybe
Audeze Maxwell or SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro?
Just got the Cloud II Wireless for $100, awesome headset!!
have they updated the mic on the logitech x2 yet??
Who in their right mind prefers the mic on the blackshark over the HS80??
You didnt compare all the mics why?? Is the arctis mic that bad?
Thanks for posting this man. These were my top contenders. I wound up getting the Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed for $199. I thought about getting the v1 for $130, but I just went for the X 2. I'll be picking up some wicked cushions. You have an aff link?
v2 is better
How are they
Question im planing on buying a ps5 and i want headphones but i dont know if it's worth it to go wirreless or if i can go wirred and conect to the controler. ( thinking if wireless the logitech lightspeed 2 and if wired the logithech pro x) if you could give me recomendations for another headphone i woud love it and if posible not passing the 250$ like the logitech pro x lightspeed 2.
What about the hyper x Sound😢
Which is the right BS 2 pro? There's like 4 models
Get the Audeze Maxwell. Best wireless gaming headset period.
One of the best closed back headphones too.
my razer blackshark v2 x mic sounds very bad, is there any way to fix it? Much appreciated!
razer v2 pro, when enabling mic monitoring the sound only comes out the left ear piece. total nightmare. synapse is lagging and freezing too
Having Maxwell for few months, and the sound quality is fantastic. Everything about it is great, except for the weight, build quality(QC issue), and the clunky software.
I want a Zelda Majoras Mask very badly! Same with any/all of the Harry Potter series. Personal collecting goal!
Is that RAZER blackshark V2 pro? Beacuse when yes then i am buyingn it
So i guess the Arctis pro mic is garbage is it didnt even get mentioned
Hs80 sounded by far the best. Do you have hearing issues?
I do since my corsair died in less than a year lol
I wish these youtubers would actually TRY to use the G Hub software to find some user made mic presets. They sound a whole lot better than the default presets. I understand reviewing the out-of-box no software experience, but also throw in some user made presets to show the full potential of the mic.
The preset i use is called "Balanced" by not timo and was told the mic sounds great. Obviously hard to compare with the other headsets since i don't have them though.
I have first gen gpx lightspeed and spent a lot of time configuring it.
I couldn’t disaggre with you more.
If the mic sounds pretty bad out of the box, it won't surpass the HS80 or the Blackshark V2s.
@@bigdogeofc not but it would be many times vetter
I had the Logitech ones and they were terrible, even with the Blue voice and trying all of the presets. All of my friends commented on the downgrade in mic performance, whatever settings I tried. the G Hub makes no difference and cannot make up for bad hardware.
With everything coming so close to comparison, I would like to see more proper testing with range and "walking out of the room clarity & functionality." There has been a big difference of being able to walk around the house between wireless headsets in my testing and some will work going into a room with a door shut, others will literally cut out if I don't stand in a specific spot in the same room. Sadly my favorite headset will literally crash and reset settings if it continuously tries to maintain connection and fails.
I just got the Blackshark V2 hyperspeed, and really like them. They sound better than my $300 JBL’s, and are now replaced for watching shows and movies when I’m outside in my smoking shed. Super comfortable, great sound (needs to be tuned), and all my friends noticed a huge improvement over my last mic.
why would you buy that lmao
@@almin4 because razer always make headsets that fit me well. I’ve had many including $500 headsets and they all feel terrible. how do u use the wireless mic?
I bought the G pro X 2s and I hated them. Sound was way too quiet, directional audio was all over the place, and only being able to adjust a pre determined 6 bands in G hub is garbage.
Battery life was definitely insane tho.
Latency?
Coming from gaming, going all digital is pretty upsetting. So much control and ownership lost. We are hoping that companies will keep our storefront open or the servers running so we can still play games we paid full price for.
That is one way I wish NFTs could step in, but it will most likely take an indie developer doing that. It would be really amazing if Devolver Digital (a big indie publisher) could spearhead this!
You charge headphones?
ok but its still a gaming headset
Just get a desk mic and the shp9500 and you will be way better off
Oof. I can get a cosy Beyerdynamics 880/990/770 for that with studio sound quality for gaming and eargasm in music and a similar mic quality separately for 20 bucks. I'll never understand gaming headsets.
Having two wired devices vs having no wires in one package is the argument here
@@Atilolzz Hmm, I can see the point. Never bothered me, which is why I'm oblivious by default. Still wouldn't be my first choice.
It does NOT sound like a regular dynamic mic. Good for a wireless headset but the prices are all stupid still
Wake me up when Open Back designs exist. Which is likely never since where would you put the battery then?
