[ UPDATE : 05/05/24 ] The stock pad depth has reduced and now my ears touch the inside mesh to the point where wearing them for more than 20mins becomes uncomfortable. I store mine on a stand where the pads receive constant pressure. So I recommend using a stand where the pads hang. I am going to pad swap them with Wicked cushions.

No. I have them for the SteelSeries nova and EPOS headsets though.
@@goukigod I am testing my maxwells now and I got to say I had some issues with it loosing connection to the dongle even tho I had the dongle via usb c in my mainboard… strangely I put the adapter on the dongle from usb c to usb a and now it works 😂. The whicked cushions are wayyy thicker but they feel nice 👍🏼
Such a great video, I'm wondering if you still have and use your maxwell? does it really a good headphones after 6-7months? how about its QC and some issues about connectivity and random broken driver
Yes, I still use mine. The only issue I've had is that the pads have lost some height and my ears press uncomfortably against the drivers now. It means I can't use them for extended sessions. This could be due to the stand I was using. The pads were constantly being pressed against the stand. I'm going ot replace the pads with some wicked cushions.
Hey anyone please help me out, I got the maxwell's right now, been using it for about a week now, and currently there's a small rattling noise on the right ear cup ( when on ) is this normal.
Ima music producer and gamer, and the funny thing is, I have been waiting for a immersive and good sounding headset at this price range for a long time. I was planning on getting the razer kraken v3 pro's but luckily I watched ur video.
I haven't tried any of Razer's headsets yet but they seem to get very mixed reviews. Lots of channels say they are decent but a few audiophiles say they're complete trash.
I've had the V3 Pros for about 2 years or so now. Those haptic drivers really are something that's hard to go back from once you experience them, but the headset does also have its flaws. While the sound is honestly amazing, Razer's software will have an update every other month or so that will absolutely wash it out and will take sometimes an hour or so to get them sounding back to normal, and the solution is never the same. The headsets battery life is pitiful and almost never charges to full. Not to mention, there's a "battery low" tone you can't ever turn off. Once it hits a threshold of about 20%-10%, it will make a "beep-boop" sound that's extremely distracting. I'm watching this review to look for a replacement actually lol. The haptic drivers are the only redeeming feature of that headset.
I wonder... if you use it wired, is the mic better?
How does this compare with the LCD-X? Big fan of LCD-X, having a wireless variant sounds handy for some applications.
I haven’t used them but the simple fact that they are wired suggests they would sound better. Just a guess though.

Great review, thanks. But i did not find here detailed info about spatial sound experience. Does this headset support some kind of virtual surround in any Games? Or does surround work only with Atmos supporting games and just in Stereo mode in all others? For example Logitech Pro X has DTS:X virtual surround, and works absolutely with any games and movies as well. There are quite a few games with native Atmos support. Would be great to clarify it. Thanks!
Great question.
Most virtual surround software will turn any audio source into surround sound but some games are specifically designed for it and will sound better. Atmos would be one example. You don't need a special type of headset/headphone to use virtual surround sound either. The PS5's 3D audio even works with your crappy TV speakers.
The Maxwell doesn't have any kind of built-in spatial audio. Obviously, it will work with solutions like Atmos and other surround sound software. It also works well with the PS5's 3D audio. The thing is though, if your headset/headphone has good imaging and sound stage you kind of don't need it.
Kindly note that only Xbox version of Audeze is supporting Atmos.

Does the Windows volume bar show up and move along when you adjust the physical knob on the headset? Or does the physical knob adjust the volume independently?

I received my Maxwell today and the windows volume adjusts for me from the volume wheel on the headset. I'm on windows 10 and using the dongle with the current FW.
Can anyone confirm please is Playstation version working on PS3 for game audio?

From a sound perspective, there's really nothing that touches them. Something like the SteelSeries Nova 7 or pro would be worth looking into, I've heard good things about the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro too but haven't tried it. My right ear loved this video - because my left earcup on my maxwells have just died for absolutely no reason since I've never dropped them or handled them roughly. They're good but they don't last longer than 6 months which is ridiculous.
That sucks. At least it's in the warranty period.
My right ear went out in my Maxwells in under 30 days 😂 that’s just horrible. I’m getting my second pair later this evening but that’s ridiculous in a 300 dollar headset

Can you hear your own voice when wearing them? Or when you talk do you sound light you"re under water? Some gaming headsets run your voice into the cans that you can turn up/down so it takes the "under water" feeling away
Yes, it has sidetone functionality. I personally think that this always sounds a bit underwater-like, regardless of the headset but due to the more full sound the mic produces, it's less so with the Maxwell. You can adjust the sidetone volume too.
Can the dongle be used on an iPad, bro? I want to buy it for gaming on ipad with low latency
The dongle works with iPhone so it should work with iPad but I can't confirm this. The Bluetooth does support a few different codecs though 5.3 LC3plus / LC3 / LDAC / AAC

How does this sound compared to the Air Pod Max?
The Air Pod Max isn’t a great sounding wireless headphone. It’s not bad but there are plenty of other brands that sound as good, if not better, for less. The Maxwell sounds better for less.
That said, the Air Pod Max has better features.
It's a stupid question, because it shows you have no idea.
So, with tons of knowledge on the internet available, why don't you inform yourself first?
Otherwise you should know that all these airpod praising reviews are crap, because they aren't even able to receive music in a proper quality, with no high output bluetooth codec, that apple lacks of at insane 500 bucks.

Same as far as I can tell. Even wired there’s no difference.
The dongle has less latency
And better quality
9:20 this is one of the main reasons i chose this headset. you can wear them around without the mic and look normal and not like most other hideous gamery looking headsets

Hi I had my audeze Maxwell for about 3 months now and I don't like them there too too heavy for every day gaming and there too bulky it's like a helmet I play on PS5 only and I'm currently using the turtle beach stealth pro wireless gaming headphones for PS5 and there the best for gaming audio you can tweak the sound on your phone however you want it and there so immersive gaming is fun now the audeze Maxwell are boring try the turtle beach stealth pro you will thank me later stay safe and happy gaming to all

Both my stealth pros broke within two months of 1 evening a week gaming.. both times the mic broke.. I had to put it in front of my eye for it to work,, getting my stealth pros in a few days🎉
