Vans give me blisters, converse don’t. I still think low top vans look great I just can’t wear them. Converse low and high tops and both clean
You will need extra inch of your regular shoe size and put insole double cushion that way you wont get anymore blisters
the slip-ons give me blisters too, if i’m not wearing socks. but i’ve never had a problem with the low-top or high-top

Forever a vans guy! Converse made power moves when they got bought by Nike and put lunar soles in some of the chucks but Vans added cushioned soles recently to their base models which I think was a game changer as well. Overall I think there's just construction and build to vans while still maintaining their simplicity and they get sooo much better with age!

I agree! I have narrow flat feet and yeah they are the most comfortable shoes to me. Adidas superstar is also a comfortable shoe.
I think I find the hi tops more comfortable than the lo tops cause I can get the fit I want for the particular activity I’m gonna do, for example by keeping the laces loose on the foot and tightening them on the ankle and vice versa or just keeping them all well tight or loose.

both are great sneakers and I agree with you that for high top sneakers I definitely go for Converse and for the low vans...
Tried them both, and ended up donating the Vans pairs to my favourite charity shop. They just didn’t feel right for me. I love Converse. In a world of crazy, Converse keeps me calm.
Vans is the preferred one! Although i wear slip on vans but with the classic black white colour it is so versatile and also comfortable as well!
Converse are better, specifically the converse 70s. Better look and quality.
Then you have vans vault which are the vans equivalent of the chuck 70.

I really like the Chuck 70 converse wayyyy more than the regular converse. They are more comfy and better made. Basically the way Chucks made in the 70's and worth the difference in price.

I like both brands. Started with Chucks, but I end up collecting Vans now. The two has a unique sense of style in them which is aesthetically pleasing without trying to hard. My two cents.

I think you are on the money when it comes to vans vs converse.
HOWEVER I think that low top converse are a great choice for shorter people. I’ve noticed for myself hightop converse make my legs look short and stubby compared to the lowtops... I think that what you said about lowtops being feminine is because of how dainty and light the show looks which I think could be a great look for someone that wants to lighten up an outfit/make an outfit look more casual and summer ready.
Lowtop vans in my opinion look more “dressed up”

Right. I think the hi-top chucks are pretty comfortable and the only problem comfort wise is the lack of padding in the insole.

Well i think converse are more uncomfortable if u walk for a while like i went to an amusement park with converse and my feet where just dying but vans give u some blisters but now that ive been using vans i dont get blisters with them- ik a lot of ppl will disagree with me but i go with vans

Vans all the way!!!! They're headquartered in my hometown of Costa Mesa, California and they have a bitching skate park here at corporate (but I love the all-black low top Chucks).

Vans for Life. in Highscholl i bought Converses and they didnt last me a year. then i went with some puma Suedes and they kick ass for good 3 years and then i bought Vans old skool and 5 years later they are still holding up. plus they were far better in comfort during long walks and casual joggin. during a time i bought some Supras but they fell apart after 2 years so they hold up better than my converse. plus many fellas of mine have switched willingly to Vans over the years. love them

I’m currently a new owner of Vans shoes.They are way more comfortable than the Converse I used to own. I’ll be Team Vans from now on 😆
Personally, Old skool High top Vans are my favourite shoe of all time! My current favourite pair are a deep mustard mixed with navy and they are honestly such a beautiful piece of art - i love the silhouete of the shoe, and how it can literally be styled with the majority of my outfits! only problem i find personally is styling them with shorts however as I have stated in a previous comment I much prefer fall/ winter outfits anyway - my favourite outfit pairing with these shoes being brown corduoroy carhartt trousers and a flannel shirt, lerfect casual fall combination! I am probably slightly biased as i own many pairs of vans however for the price point i dont think there is any other shoe that is more versatile or hard wearing / comfy in my opinion! I still like converse - my favourite being the commes des garcons white high top collab and also the classic 70s chuck taylor black basketball style! Great video as always :)

just wanted to add a personal experience, vans are wider-ish so for someone who has flat wide feet its more comfortable without needing to go up a size, unlike converse.

I've owned alot of converse and only a few vans. Vans last me soo much longer though (like I have a pair that are like 5yrs old). I keep seeing the comments but I've never gotten blisters with vans. I think they're both the same in comfort level. But with vans they get a lot warmer quickly because of the padding. I've worn both but I think vans are more fashionable/look nicer. For me it's Vans then Converse, but if I could I wish I could get them in all sorts of colors.

Vans and Converse, I prefer vans cuz they have a really good grip and last longer than my converse shoe. Idk you guys but the vans are the best for skating. Very classic and furthermore, they are made of canvas and really good collaboration they had made.
I’ve never been a huge fan of vans, but after watching your video I’m going to branch out and give them another shot.

I love converse.They have so many models to find what you like.Classic chucks,70s chuck,one star player,chuck ii,one star,courtland.They also have better insoles.Lunarlon is so comfortable and ortholite on one stars and courtlands is also really good too.

Recently I wear Vans old school, but I always prefer Converse CT.
Converse 69’ edition currently on Nike. Fantastic shoe. Super classic look, slightly different design on toe, stitching, heel tab and overall fit. I have never seen anyone with a pair. I recently purchased a pair. Own the originals and the 70’s. OG converse is a classic. 70’ is heavier but definitely more cushiony shoe. Runs bigger which is slightly annoying. And the 69’s, which fit more like the original but they are lighter and have nice cushion as well. Just wanted to share. I love both vans and chucks but if i had to wear one for the rest of my life, the chucks. Timeless shoe that has always been in style.

I really like converse and vans but I never tried vans but both shoes are the best and my most favorites of all
I never had a pair of vans but randomly I needed a pair of sneakers and I was sick of Nike, Adidias etc ... I wanted a sneaker for casual wear and not to look sporty all the time like Nike and other sneakers that overhype the sports look over the casual look. So I picked up Converse because they can used for anything, but man they are EXTREMELY durable and hold up. For some odd reason, when the wear a bit and show some age and dirt they look even better which odd. They rock with my slim jeans, shorts and sometimes joggers and dress pants belive it or not. So overall Converse sneakers are amazing. HOWEVER I always wanted to try out Vans... Maybe on the next pair...

Converse are basketball shoes, vans are skate shoes. Regular vans won’t hold up as long as pros. Pros are usually more comfortable with better cushioning. Not as many people skate normal vans, and I have not seen anybody in recent history playing in converse for performance.
The converse will be shredded skating, they are a thinner canvas. Vans won’t do very good on a basketball court, they aren’t made for it. Every shoe has ups and downs, and for durability get pros for vans. Complaining about vans being destroyed is annoying. The average consumer does not buy pros.

I prefer Converse most of the time than Vans. Converse feels more comfort to my own feet, while Vans that I use for grass-cutting and exercising on treadmill came up with some tightness.

Converse Chuck Taylors are a great cheap alternative for lifting.
Vans are good if I’m going out I can style with them because I have a vans long sleeve shirt and a vans pants

Because the vans don’t have much support at the toes, I always get holes I my vans at the there. That’s a shame cuz I like their shoes and they are really comfortable

started with chucks, then i got put on to vans by a friend who skates frfr... tbh as a flat footed individual, both are comfortable- at first, but in a case where you are moving around and having to be on your feet for a couple hours, those vans are going to give your feet more relief at the end of the day than those chuck taylors, believe you me!!!! and I did a whole day at Disney in Orlando, first go in the chucks... :'( NEVER AGAIN!!! I got a blue and yellow pair of chucks, but they were impulsive buys... When making a choice, it's Vans all day!
I like converse theres more the padding on the soul its way thicker and has more comfort while the soul on the Van's is super thin i wore a pair of Van's and the soul is almost completely worn out and I've only wore them for 3 weeks

Team Converse is superior!
Converse are very loose and can ware out quicker, Only reason I say that is I’ve had converse only last about 8 - 12 months, VS Vans were they end up lasting 3 to 5 years and don’t ware out that easily. Ultimately your decision.
I don't know if this is a sizing/footshape issue or a construction issue, but lowtop Vans WRECK my achilles tendon, like make it bleed, from Eras to Old Skool. I love the style, but my Converse both low-top and hi-top feel so much better on my feet.
I got slip on vans a few days ago and within an hour of wearing them I got awful blisters that still haven’t gone away. Converse have so many options and they’re cheaper. I have never gotten blisters from converse so I’d have to say those are a win for me.
Converse comfort ? I throw some Cole Haan inserts in my Chucks and the fit is perfect. Van?, slip ons only, just don't like them with laces. Keep up the good work and thanks
