The truth is that I still don't dare to use those types of pants. I'm in transition from skynny to slim, but the wallet and the phone are still visible.
At first it is difficult to adapt but with time you get used to it and learn to dress but now if you continue with the slim ones I recommend that you buy much thinner wallets
For real bro , naam se hi pata chal gaya hoga kaha se hu , same mera bhi slim fit mujhe pasand nhi , skinny type feel deti hai mujhe personally@@Adebayoazim
small top big bottom is a triangle silhouette that transfer the weight to the bottom and gives the feeling of stability and power, it works well in fashion forward looks.
Agreed. But keep in mind that every brand has a different take on this, so for example what a fine brand calls loose fit is just a regular fit on a streetwear brand
I am always amazed how Alex comes with these accurate style mistakes/rules, i totally agree with the points. I have seen people wearing baggy on evry occasions, thats a big style mistake….and obviously straight fit will never go out of style ✌🏻✌🏻
Baggy jeans only work on really slim guys. It doesnt work on Latino guys because Latino guys tend to have a short and wide body type. Latino also have rounder faces. baggy jeans can work on Korean men because Korean men more so often have small and slim faces. Skinny jeans can look good on women but not men. So clothing really depends on how you physically look, your fac shape and body type.
the number 5 point is the most important one for me I wear relaxed fit stuff a lot and yeah its flowy and comfy but the slim fit cloths are always my go to for elevated look
Alex to be honest your outfits with slim/skinny jeans +chelsea boots + leather jackets STILL IN TOP in my collection on Pinterest. I don't give a sh...) i still love this rockstar vibe
There are no specific rules for wearing any pants/jeans, you just need to take the proportional aspect and your body type into account! The world of fashion and clothing is so greatly wide and can take everyone’s taste.
I gave mine away about 1.5 years ago. I dont know if they will come back on trend, but I dont see myself wearing them anymore. As a tall guy, slim fit jeans make my legs look like long toothpicks
The right amount of baggy is fine, carpenter is the most while I think the perfect amount is boot cut. A certain boot cut can fit and give a perfect relaxed feel and look.
Ngl I grew up wearing baggy (born 1987) then moved to Southern California and started wearing skinny’s (even women’s jeans) I was skeptic on wearing baggy again but once I tried them on the comfort was incredible. My gym clothes are fitted and I’ll admit working out in fitted clothing is uncomfortable (squatting and deadlifting so on) so I hope baggy stays a little longer because I am comfortable. Also skinny’s make your legs look shorter if 5”10 and under. Baggys elongate the legs but you MUST wear a cropped shirt. Rule of 2/3 is a fact
I personally like skinny or regular upper and baggy or relaxed lower. It just feels a bit normal and not over exaggerated as both being baggy or loose kinda makes me feel less man like to be honest.
I used to wear skinny jeans, but never the spray-on type. Skinny, but not TOO skinny was the key. I still have 'em in my closet on standby if ever the trend comes back in the future. For now I wear mostly Straight or Slim pants. I never liked the current Baggy pants trend. They look good on younger guys or teenagers, but not for someone like me in my early 30's.
Much improvement in Costas videos a couple of months now. i discovered @Alex Costa @The Style OG, @ TMF @ RMRS @Gentlemans Gazette all in 2020 during the lockdown when i was in Nursing School in Ghana- Africa My friends call me Alex Costa(some call me Costas). Thank you Alex Costa and all the style channels i follow on TH-cam.
I'm glad I never got into these stupid trends and just stuck with more of the classic styles even since I was younger. I'm just glad I knew better early on
Funny cause I looked back on photos from 2014 where I was wearing baggy/loose fitting and was like damn what happened? I looked better back then (or maybe I've just gotten old)
I'm about the same age as you Alex and man sometimes I just look back at fashion five to ten years ago when I was in my 20's and think we looked SO MUCH BETTER than what people wear today. The stuff 20 somethings wear today is hideous for both men and women.
3rd tip doesn’t work as well as you think, slimmer tops balance the looseness of the pant, if you go baggy on baggy you look like you’re drowning in cloth.
I like wearing slightly baggy jeans.. its roomy n comfortable but other than jeans I always stick w slim fit bcs I have slim legs but now I start to realise that baggy jeans are just too big for my body
I never skip leg day as im an avid cyclist, so it's carpenter jeans. My leg holes have to accommodate my massive thighs and calves, but my waist is small. So I feel stuck getting pants 2 sizes too big in the waist, just to have some room in the legs. 😒
What I hate is when I was growing up I used to get cracked on for wearing baggy jeans but then as soon as I started wearing skinny jeans I got made fun of and everybody started wearing baggy jeans like bro💀
I really like his videos, but I don't share his opinion about baggy jeans and skinny tops. It depends on your proportions ofc, but he generalizes too much. Definitely not recommended for short kings tho. He's raising fashion NPCs here, and I don't like that.
Overall, if you are a good looking person physically and have a handsome face, then wearing anything, baggy jeans or slim fit jeans can work for you. Latinos have a strong looking face, widerr face, can grow a full beard so baggy jeans dont work on them.baggy jeans willn ot make you look good, Alex. However baggy jeans will make someone taller look good, like that other mens fashion guy who is your friend, I forgot his nam,but Ive seen you olay basketball with him and he said he went to fashion school. Or someone like James Leung who is tall and slim, or Tim Dessaint who actually has a soft feminine looking face.
I love these videos but to be honest I’m not a fan of a lot of the looks. There’s quite a few outfits that just remind me of Steve Urkle. But I’ve always liked boot cut jeans and loose fit.
Very very Loose fit pants in our Punjabi language, l would say ''Jaluus"😂😂😂 Btw this is not an abusive word, this is a kind of slang for not looking good thing🫡
Honestly I wouldnt go for extra baggy but just loose fit that is just perfect.Never wear baggy pants with oversized shirt except when you tuck in the shirt it just looks amazing. Also I feep baggy pants are for people that have a nice fitted top of the body because a baggy lower parts gets contrast with your muscular top part.Go for a loose jeans tucked in with a slim fit shirt
in my opinion oversized shirt llus baggy jeans is just perfect it looks like you are a skater that stepped out of a 2003 skateparj and i think ectra baggyis better
Very well made video! It’s interesting to see how badly you look upon the “fashion forward” or anything breaking from the norm, and how reassured you feel with classic styles. I’m pretty sure it’s got to do with your childhood and how as an immigrant coming from Brazil you have always felt the need to blend in.
"I wore it because I thought that's what I needed to look cool, to be on trend, and to be accepted as part of the cool club". I'm glad I never had the desire to follow the crowd and be part of the so called cool club.
Alex, referring to the shoes with the straight-fit pants, what do you suggest is a good shoe brand to get started? I would like to grab a black pair and brown pair, but unsure of which brand to go with that style of pants. Thank you always.
Ever since your early videos you've hated baggy. You just like bagging on them. You must've hated the 90s when it was in full effect. Baggy never changed for most Chicanos in Southern California it's our style.

Thank you for watching and have a great week!

I feel that baggies are very comfortable for carrying accessories such as a phone and wallet because they do not show on the legs.
The truth is that it is difficult, especially for people my age, hahaha, but what models are those?
They are the slim version of the current wallets and if you want to look, check out the Vionentus Slim 100 which is quite practical.
@@ArieHans-5 Thanks for the help and recommendation. I'll check it out and see how it goes.
I disagree with 3, relaxed pants with a more fitted top looks great
I do that too :)
fr
Agreed 👍
@@omegayt6584 it just balances so nicely
If you have good body shape... otherwise 😅
i disagree with 3 and 4 fitted top and baggy bottoms is an undefeated combo , loafers , sambas, palermos , are always matching well with wide pants
Skinny and baggy pant they might have there trends but straight and slim fit jeans will never go out of fashion
i am a tall guy and slim fit looks skinny fit on me so i prefer straight fit and tapered fit will looks most classy on me
For real bro , naam se hi pata chal gaya hoga kaha se hu , same mera bhi slim fit mujhe pasand nhi , skinny type feel deti hai mujhe personally@@Adebayoazim
Tall and skinny guy as well. Straight and tapered leg is my go to everyday. Relaxed... not baggy... as far as I will go
Yeah! I feel so comfortable in straight fits, some brands have different fit but yeah my ideal fit varies from straight-relaxed.
@@Adebayoazim as a super skinny short dude, skinny fit often looks slim fit on me. and slim foot looks relaxed on me. kinda depends brand by brand.
small top big bottom is a triangle silhouette that transfer the weight to the bottom and gives the feeling of stability and power, it works well in fashion forward looks.
2:30 But here the first one look even better
much better
Actually baggy pants are very comfortable for me. I hate tight pants, I can’t breathe.
There’s a big difference between tight and regular fit. I’m not recommending tight.
Maybe it's because you wear them around your neck bro
Perfectly explained Alex!
Baggy is fine
But saggy looks terrible
Stacking is cool ngl
I feel like there is a big confusion about pants types. Some of the pics you said were baggy were literally just straight or regular fit pants
Agreed. But keep in mind that every brand has a different take on this, so for example what a fine brand calls loose fit is just a regular fit on a streetwear brand
I am always amazed how Alex comes with these accurate style mistakes/rules, i totally agree with the points.

why is wearing baggy a mistake
Baggy jeans only work on really slim guys. It doesnt work on Latino guys because Latino guys tend to have a short and wide body type. most atrocious thing ever is a short latino with a wide body wearing skinny jeans fym
the number 5 point is the most important one

Alex to be honest your outfits with slim/skinny jeans +chelsea boots + leather jackets STILL IN TOP in my collection on Pinterest.

True that
baggy pant and fitted t-shirt or hoodie look great .
Speak on it
I can’t wear baggy pants. I’m a slim fit kinda guy
Bootcut looks great on me and I believe it's classic. Many men are afraid to try it but it's alright.
I personally love boot fit jeans. The wide drop on my shoes with a little baggy/regular upper makes it so good
I will never stop using slim fit jeans and pants. I don't care what's on trend
There are no specific rules for wearing any pants/jeans, you just need to take the proportional aspect and your body type into account! The world of fashion and clothing is so greatly wide and can take everyone’s taste.
Keep your skinny and slim fit jeans and pants, they will be back in style in a few years. 🙂
I gave mine away about 1.5 years ago. I dont know if they will come back on trend, but I dont see myself wearing them anymore. As a tall guy, slim fit jeans make my legs look like long toothpicks
I don't see skinny coming back tbh
I have all types 😂 for all occasions, One tip… fitted tops + wide pants. It often looks better than oversized top.
I totally agree !!!
And i think baggy pants or jeans looks good on chicks.
The right amount of baggy is fine, carpenter is the most while I think the perfect amount is boot cut. A certain boot cut can fit and give a perfect relaxed feel and look.
The video was lavish and informative i hope you publish a lot of these videos👏👏
3 videos in one week🔥
We have a lot more coming!

Pls post a sunglasses collection video
The only reason i used to wear skinny jeans is because I'm skinny af it looks like normal jeans 😂
Classic Regular slim pants or tapered pants is the best baggy just looks so sloppy and can’t be taken seriously
A tight tee tucked, with wide pants a belt and loafers is win bro
I like baggy pants because I’ve got really big quads and calves and most „normal” relaxed pants look skinny on me
I tried styling baggy pants but it is hard with my length of 5'10 ft.. so I'm back at Loose Fit and Relaxed Fit
SUPER skinny jeans not good but skinny jeans are better

I absolutely hate baggy suits but that’s just me. Find yourself a suit that fits you well! You’ll look 10x better than wearing a baggy suit.
Me too
I’m just over here wearing fitted trousers and chinos not knowing everybody was wearing baggy pants🗿
What I hate is when I was growing up I used to get cracked on for wearing baggy jeans but then as soon as I started wearing skinny jeans I got made fun of and everybody started wearing baggy jeans like bro💀
Thanks for this video, Alex! It's always good to watch your content! :)
I can't wait to laugh at all the Gen Z self proclaimed "fashion gurus" and their extra baggy clown looking outfits in a couple of years.
The part about the Rule of Three seems out of subject. You can respect this rule wearing tight or baggy pants. Length vs fit/width
Love the shirt! Where's it from?

I wear them for fun honestly 😂
After seeing alot of guys wearing baggy pants nowadays I realized how horrible the skinny jeans were back then.

I would absolutely wear semi-baggy and not baggy
I'm actually not wearing them cause it may be popular, i'm just a part of the hip-hop culture
Skinny jeans will never die

I love these videos but to be honest I’m not a fan of a lot of the looks. There’s quite a few outfits that just remind me of Steve Urkle. But I’ve always liked boot cut jeans and loose fit.
Boot cut jeans are best for boot look , slim fit doesn't add up to bootw
For sure slim fit are not made for boots. Personally I don’t like slim fit. Too tight for my taste.
Regular fit beats all at all times
Slim and Straight fit pants are superior and timeless. Paired with a lifestyle sneaker is unbeatable.
I miss Get Ready With With Alex Costa 🥕
Good video. I personably prefer only slim. I used to wear supper skinny. Now slim or “little close” to skinny in the lower to foot
I dont care about trend if it looks good on me I'm wearing it. Not to skinny like those but just well fit so you look clean and not to baggy.
Thank god somebody is willing to open Gen Z’s eyes. They look ridiculous. Mistake #5 gave me a good laugh lol
I actually dress up baggy jeans… it’s worth it!
If you can pull it off, go for it

sure bro
I wear baggy jeans coz it comfortable and that what matters to me most.
Absolutely. After wearing only slim fit, I couldnt believe how comfortable loose fit is until I tried. never looking back
Nah i still love skinny jeans
Agreed with every part of this!

Okay mr. Therapist
8:27 the Ricky Martin's look 😀
Baggy pants are now comfort outgo they are comfortable and flexible not like the skinny pants I love it more
What is your opinion about distressed pants?
horrible id say
People who wear them look distressed
Sorry sir but Toji Fushiguro just made a trend of a skinny top and baggy pants hahahha some guys with nice physic could pull this off
To make it even easier
Your shirt shouldn't go PAST YOUR HIPS..
i still cant digest wearing baggy pants 😌
Same 🫥
baggy pants for people with relax lifestyle
Start off with regular fitting pants
I prefer a more straight or regular fit as it fits my style and baggy doesn’t really suit me, for me it doesn’t suit a lot of people
When were you born? No diss just a generational thing so I get it if you are in your 20's or younger
