As a junior in college, I can confirm all these tips are essential. Unfortunately with my luck, I got severely sick throughout my first semester and people formed friendships and groups without me as I was stuck in my dorm and hospital. I’ve been an introvert wannabe extrovert so being lonely isn’t new, but it feels so inhumane at college. Please be outgoing your first year, I promise you have the time if you put in the effort to. Personally, because my luck always gets me alone I decided to go crazy with classes so I can graduate a year early and study for my MCAT
So sorry to hear about your experience :( but honestly, many people find their closest friends after college. Also, seems like you're CRUSHING it academically. Best of luck with the MCAT!!

My biggest mistake was taking myself too seriously. Don’t forget to take the time to enjoy, college is short.

My college started in late July this year and I got sick after 2 days of going to college. I'm a little introverted with wanting to be extroverted. Luckily I met some people and kinda became friends with them, I'm grateful that I didn't just lock myself in my room. I'm currently sick now with 2 days of not going to college. Wish me luck with a speedy recovery. Also the advice given in the video is the same as my older sister gave me. Glad I listened to her and went out and found some friends.
I also want to give one more piece of advice 'don't get sick in the first week of college'

Great video, as a sophomore in college now, I can confirm that going to college allows me to connect with more people and even meeting those who are not from my hometown so that was pretty nice!
I have to be honest here, your tips are for stuff like distinguished colleges because I would rather hangout with future superstars. I hang out with them a lot, of course I am jealous, but I learn something and I improved over years.

@@OhmShankar-xu2kw I feel like the advice I give is kinda basic, but focus on a few extracurriculars so that you seem passionate. There are lots of people that try to do everything which can look unfocused I think.

Can you please do a vid on trade schools and how to navigate them? As I’m going to one and I’m only going for two years, so I need more specific information on the topic
IMO, in young years should be a little bit more aggressive. Not just funds but in things a little bit riskier. Students are usually on top of trends, also potential looses could be recouped later.
im not in college but going into junior year. Im moving into a city with no close family/friends i know to study. kind of terrifying im not gonna lie, but i believe i can do this. your video helped me too thanks!!

I live in the UK so I'm not quite going to have the American College experience, but I will be going to University next year which will likely be pretty similar

Thing is I've lived in dorms before, but since it was high school, we had people look after us... But now it's scarier, cuz' I have adhd and have trouble with keeping a good schedule and time management. I was also way more introverted back then and was also undiagnosed. Maybe it won't be as bad, right? 😅😅

Man I'm pretty sure I made most of these mistakes in my first year at campus. I'm going to transfer to another university in state for career reasons but do you thinks these tips would still work even though I'm basically going to be a junior in a new school?

I am kind of a nihility guy, like anything unnecessary is not important to me. That said, according to this video, I can do many things that can improve myself
But man, all this time I am sticking to myself. Third-year at University and still no relationship outside of family & relatives. Beside, I don't go out for leisure activity like ever and I find it hard to strike up a conversation because I have no idea about the topic they like: gaming, football, etc. I mean, they are not my thing; not that passionate, anyway.
I do aware that being lonely like this could be a hinderance to my progress in my job afterward, but I'm not so sure about how to handle this problem...

I am about to start my freshman year of college and am freaking out. I’ve been living in Japan since I was young and have not been in the states since 2016. Honestly i’m not sure how i’m going to afford college but, any tips on when I should start a job? I wanted to start my fall quarter but people told me that I should adjust first.
Incoming college freshman here... I'm nervous that I won't be able to connect with people as often as others since I'll be commuting and still living in my home, while others will have an easier time finding others as they live in dorms. I know it's up to me to go out and attend gatherings, clubs, etc, but is there anything specific you'd recommend I do?

in my sophomore year of HS, i skipped all the time. and it sucked fixing that.
It sucked so bad thatin my junior year i knew to skip less and was actively against skipping in my senior year and ended up having infinitely better grades for it
