I’ve opened a kids vanguard account for my little ones. I invest on their behalf for this very reason.
Instead I’m focusing on my eldest who’s is learning to do their own food shopping for school to ensure they start to understand budgeting. They also put $10 away each fortnight to savings. So I know that I’m putting in the hard work now to ensure when they become custodians of the money they won’t spend it, they will let it grow into a big old tree.

I feel like it’s really important to understand the difference between good and bad debt. In the case of a car, if you have the cash outright and can get say 0% finance that’s basically free money waiting from interest in a savings account, once the loan is up you will have actually made money on your cars loan

I know something even better which is an IUL. It basically grows at like 7-8% but it will never have u loose money like stocks can. It locks at like 0.75% if the stock market crashes.
