Thanks for this, on my UK version, the multi plug cover is riveted on, but loosened the intake hose clamp (phillips) at the engine end and managed to swivel both halves of the air box out of the way enough to change the plugs.

Hi I just got my spark plugs changed on mazda 3 2006 1.6 engine. But i am not feeling good acceleration like before and shaky gear shift? What could be the cause for this? I am really worried. I diagnosed and found out code p0123 throttle sensor issue. But the car was running smooth before the change. Could you give any advice?

Hey I have a Mazda 3 2006, same engine as this. My engine light was showing and I was experiencing small misfires so I took it to a mechanic to diagnose the light. He told me his machine was reading a faulty coil. I changed the one coil and all spark plugs but my engine light is still showing. Any tips on why this is? Thanks

Thank you for the reply, I just solved the problem, I didnt see that there is one more bolt in the centre of the valve cover,..now I already replace the valve cover gasket, now I have one problem there is a white smoke coming from the engine after I replaced the gasket., im not sure if that is because of oil residue from the dead spark plug or it needs to be tuned up.

the cover for the two plugs next to each other on my 2007 is held with rivets, I can't remove them!
