Thanks young fellah - like many folk I’m just about to start fitting out the canopy with my own hand built cupboards and fridge slide - I think the timber sprayed or satin black looks so much better than stained despite the fact I go for Cabots timber stain with all the indoor furniture I’ve made - I also finish off with a carpet exterior for a premium look - loved the little one’s critique and the makings of a cabinet maker👷🏻♀️
No worries mate glad to help.
You’re not wrong she’s always keen to jump in and have a go 👍🏽
I’m happy with the carpet look and probably wouldn’t change it but I’ve caught myself wondering how the stained look would go instead 😂
Like your fit out and ideas and being on a budget.
Thanks mate, appreciate that 👍🏽
Once again that looks awesome 👌 👏 👍
Thanks Frank,
Appreciate it mate 👍🏽
Nice work mate 👍🏼
Thanks mate
Appreciate it 🤙🏽
Too deadly brutha, looks amazing and thanks for sharing the tips.
No worries 🤙🏽
You did a great job
Thanks Lyndon,
Appreciate it 👍🏽
The black works mate. Noice.
Thanks mate. I reckon so too 👌🏽
@@OutNAboutAustralia how did the spray glue work? Any good?
Worked great mate, just let it get tacky then stuck it down 👌🏽
Awesome mate 👍
Thanks Geoff
Looks nice and simple
Awesome job mate
Thanks mate.
Appreciate it 👍🏽
How did you attach the drawers to the plywood base already in place in the canopy? Curious to understand that critical bit to ensure a good hold on the base cheers mate
Hey mate, I just grabbed a few angle brackets from bunnings and attached them with timber screws.
Pretty sure they were just the cheap and nasty Zenith brackets
Hi thanks for your video, just curious, what is the dimensions of your canopy?
you should turn the music up in the mix and then lower your voice volume even more. Its awesome
Hey just a quick question was there a reason you mounted the fridge that far back in the canopy??
Hey Paul, yeah mate I was thinking I wanted a little bit of a bench in front of the fridge just for a bit more prep space or resting things there when the cooker was on the bench.
Ah no worries cheers I’m looking at the same setup for mine cheers 🤙
Hey mate, how did you mount it to the floor of the canopy ? Also how did you figure the dimensions of how much smaller the drawer needed to be from the outer box.
Cheers
Hey Izzy, I mounted it down with L brackets from Bunnings.
When building the interior drawer, I matched the drawer runners for length and just subtracted the width of the drawer slides from the outside edges and cut the front edge to the size I wanted.
Love the work mate! Can’t beat a custom setup, only thing I’d recommend as a cabinet maker by trade, PVA is a lot easier and cleaner to work with than liquid nails 😂 besides that and predrill your screw holes she’s mint 👌
Thanks for the tips mate.
Looks like I may have to redesign the fridge box so I’ll be sure to use them.
I hope you paid your staff well mate.. great job.. where did you get the carpet and draw runner from?
Plenty of lollies in her pay packet mate 😂
Carpet I got from Bunnings and the drawer runners from Dunn and Watson.
There should be a few links in the video description 👍🏽
@@OutNAboutAustralia thanks mate I will have a look later :)
What spray paint did you use?
Hey mate, just used a cheap acrylic from Bunnings.
Definitely could’ve used some better quality stuff but figured it wouldn’t be seen much either way 😂
Cheap, budget and bunnings to not align in 2024. hahaha
God I hope not, I'll be broke real quick hahaha
How did you mount the fridge inside the box though?
Haven't mounted it in the box mate.
I made the box a tight fit so it doesn't move, also it's close enough to the canopy door to never slide out while driving.
@Out N About Australia does the fridge come forward at all, or does it stay put on the carpet with its own weight.
@@standupandskate It stays put mate.
I haven't had it move at all on me yet!
