    I greatly enjoyed your speed of speech and how you never said "ahh" or "umm" like with most 4wd info videos I've been watching. Thanks for the efficient and detailed info.

    At 4:19 you can see a pretty good set up but do you think you’d be able to do that but with a chest fridge and still be able to slide in a table at the rear wall of the canopy?

    Are the trays easily removed an fitted to say a different vehicle if u upgraded from 1 brand to another???

    • @mitsalloy
      @mitsalloy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Absolutely! All the trays in the video are exactly the same length (1765mm). You can take the tray from the vehicle you have now, e.g Hilux, and transfer it over to another vehicle, like a Ranger, Dmax etc with what we call a transfer kit. This contains the vehicle specific mounts for the new vehicle along with all the required wiring harnesses, sensor mounts etc. Taking the package from vehicle to vehicle is the best way to take advanatge of the lifetime manufacturing warranty.

    Looking at all of those twin cabs the rear Axel and wheels are close behind the cab wall. That makes loading even a 1500 length canopy critical.
    Things like rear mount spare tire is questionable. Steering safety is affected.
    Why don't the vehicle manufacturers supply the twin cab with say a 300mm longer chassis/ wheelbase.

    Good one. They all look good. And based from various feedback I've heard & read, also well made. 👍 Quick question... Do you do, or would you consider doing a double stack drawer system with an upright fridge setup for a 4WD wagon (80 Series)? I want an aluminium drawer setup. But so far all the 4WD drawer system makers near me that I've found (Central Coast, NSW), only work with wood. I'm trying to reduce weight that I carry on my 4WD. And with an aluminium drawer setup and ditching the chest fridge and fridge slide with an upright one, will save a lot of weight. Please advise. Cheers.

      @@mitsalloy Thanks for responding. I think you should seriously consider it. It could be another revenue stream for you guys. No one really does alloy drawers, in NSW. IMO alloy drawers will become more sought after, as more 4WD owners try to reduce the weight they carry. Weight reduction as a priority is starting to take off.

    Would custom tray lengths be an option I would prefer 1600 long personally

    • @mitsalloy
      @mitsalloy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ryan, we do the 1765mm tray for all dual cab utes. We understand that some people prefer short lengths, but we need to strike a balance between weight distribution, overhand and storage capacity. We don't produce other sizes for dual cabs, as all of our engineering and testing has been based around the 1765mm length.

    Do you have to use a MITS tray or can just the canopy be fitted to say a 79 heavy duty steel tray?

    • @mitsalloy
      @mitsalloy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Grant,
      Thanks for your comment. We only sell our canopies to be fitted to a MITS Tray. We do this for a number of reasons. Mainly, we offer a lifetime warranty with all our canopies and trays. We can do this because we have conducted the R&D and testing on our platforms and the structures of both products have been designed to work in conjunctions with one another. Mounting to different suppliers trays is not something we do. Also, our canopy mounting methods use propietry bushes, and these are designed to integrate with tray structure on our MITS Trays.

    If I got the base model canopy and tray can I later buy the wheel carrier, ladder, jerry, can holder, under water tank or do I have to get that when ordering. in other words what can't I get after buying a tray and canopy. can I put a roof top tent on a 1000 canopy and ladder racks?

    • @mitsalloy
      @mitsalloy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, you definitely can do those accessories you mentioned at a later date. All canopy accessories, including rear wall layouts. internal canopy options (i.e things that can be bolted in), roof racks, tray accessories like sideboards and a ladder rack, can all be done later. Out of those, the only one we would recommend doing at the start is the under tray tank as it requires a shorter under tray drawer (800mm, not 1500mm).
