Part 2 of my BT50 tour. In this video i show off my canopy and 12v setup. hopefully you can pinch an idea or 2 for your own fit out. Part 1 here - • Setting up my 4wd to t... Thanks for watching!
Hi Richard, Come across yr comment. If yr planning a set up take yr time and triple check everything needed and actual measurements of ea item. I planned my for 6months then did fitout. Once used for a few months found a few things I needed to change. Cheers Out There Touring
Nice one mate Great ideas and a decent quality of workmanship for a home job……pretty amazing what we can do these days…with a bit of imagination and the right know how👍 I’m guessing your a tradie….possibly a sparky…
Cheers mate! I'm actually a diesel mechanic, this was my first crack at a proper 12v setup. Pretty happy but learnt alot where I can better it next time. Appreciate the comment!
Nice setup mate 🙂 I'm looking for inspiration for my setup. I would insulate the terminals on your battery though. All you need is something to fall on your bus bar and short everything out 🙌
Hi guys, Great to get ideas from watching. It took me 6 months planning my fit out and then after 6 months changed the flooring and recently changed headboard, The more time you use it the more you think it would be better if???? Yeah make sure the positive is covered. Last thing you want is a short Cheers Out There Touring
I’m doing a really similar thing. Except my canopy sits inside the tray and my full length tray slide act as the table the whole way along. Going to use one sheet of ally as a base plate along the inside of the tray side with a piano hinge and and extra piece to fold out at the section I want more table space. Really loving this trend toward light weight smaller canopies with innovative use of minimal space. Also how wide is your pantry/kitchen?
I found that one of my undertray drawers was leaking and filling with water and that was due to the seal meeting point being on the top. I flipped it to the bottom and no more Leaks. I’m still working out a way to stop the main door join (at bottom too) from falling down all the time. Maybe I will silicone it in. I wouldn’t advise flipping it to the top. 🤷♂️
11:42 That’s a lot of effort to have a folding table. Why stop there? Why not being a grinder and welder to the bush and make one each time you need one from stock? Why not bring a shovel and mine the ore for the metal? and after 10 minutes in the sun you can use it to fry your lunch.
excellent setup bro, a fantastic example of how a canopy setup does not need to cost $40k to be fully featured and practical.
Tray and Canopy setup is awesome. Bloody clever ideas and obviously lots of thought and learning gone into it
Not wrong mate. It's no Mits canopy fitout but was done on a budget. Lots of man hours. Cheers

Good to see a realistic/ affordable build! You've thought through things really well to make the most of the space available, so much creativity...

Man you rock awesomeness
From my investigations, the XTM electrical box has heavier cabling internally compared to the Kings one.
Sweet setup. Got a few great idea's. Try sikaflex black instead of silicone, unless you hate sika.

I have since got a cover made up for the positive terminal. Just hadn't found the right thing at the time

Nice video! Just wondering where you got your narrow slide next to your fridge from? It must be only 250mm wide?
