I got a 2018 r3 second hand and shoots blue flames when I got it. You can only shoot flames when you start the bike and instantly rev. Or when you’re accelerating fast and let go of the throttle with having slightly acceleration It pops and crackles a lot.
I'm literally in the same position tryna see if I can at least tune it to get more power cuz I like the looks of the r3 but the ninja is calling me for the engine
Sir when you use the engine brake, that's when you get the snap, crackle, and pops. Even though yours is doing it with the engine brake less, imagine if you left the engine braking engaged....even more pops. Stay safe
So i just bought a 23 R3 that had a flash tune and full akra exhaust. I have nothing to compare it to, but it is so freaking smooth. It's my new favorite bike I've owned lol (and i've had alot)
I’m sending my to Bauce as well. They live a town over from me. I also wanted to get my exhaust to pop and crackle . So no block off plate right? & a flame tune is not only flames but also go get the pops and crackles? just want to make sure I explain what i want to him properly
@@RickyMoto oh I also wanted to ask you , how much does the engine break cut down? Is it a scary amount ? I do want to reduce engine breaking but not a lot, to the point where I have to brake real hard or slow way sooner than usual. How is it?
@@naailahtalksfacts it was very subtle it made the bike a lot smoother. The engine braking is still noticeable and I hit the brakes only at slow speeds I can let off the throttle and the bike will slow down so on the highway I never use brakes
I just ordered a Toce full system with tune and filter for my 22 R3 and will comment when installed. I was wondering where you got your batwing mirrors and if you recommend them?
I got it from it from eBay, search up winglet mirror r3. I recommend them for the style but in terms of visibility it ain’t great. But I mean stock mirror visibility was trash either way. I just turn my head to change lanes
Hey I recently had this done to my 2021 r3 aswell and noticed it shifts and rides so much better. One question tho since you have done the same to yours. Have you noticed the idle being slightly different and at times almost doesn't seem fully consistent in its revs (jumpy)?
I’m not exactly sure the idle after the tune did sound slightly different but didn’t notice an inconsistency. It could either be a cold start making it rougher, if you have a higher mileage bike maybe use a fuel injector cleaner system to remove any carbon deposits & making sure ur oil is good, chain is tight etc. also I always put the highest octane fuel here it’s 93
@RickyMoto thanks for the advice! And yeah she has about 11k miles. I'm gonna change sparks too I just noticed as soon as the new ecu was plugged in it sounds different.
I will say the tune didn’t do too much in power - just a small bump at high rpm so the front wheel kicks up when shifting at redline. it def feels smoother while shifts though
@@RickyMoto i find i can go 100 smoothly without redlining like before. i also have r6 throttle reduction which may be a factor with the tune. akro pipe

Could be tuned when u got it. B4 the tune I couldn’t really shoot flames
My R3 isn’t tuned, just a full Akra and it shoots flames for days after being warmed up
Looking to get my first bike it's either the R3 or ninja 400, I'm into looks so the r3 is more likely what I'm going to choose

is it ok to not remap if you have full exhaust? did you change the air filter to racing filter?
The tune was for the full system exhaust, if you had a tune made for the stock exhaust then you’d need a remap. I was still on stock air filter

Yea the crackles and pops don’t always shoot a flame but sometimes a random flame burst out, if I rev it up high it’ll shoot a flame

Yea, it makes downshifting smoother. Was a bit of an adjustment at first to get used to cuz I had to use brakes more

I didn’t notice too much in power gain but mainly the exhaust sounded better, it shifts smoother and doesn’t run lean anymore
