Rarely do I actually leave comments, but after this video I just had to.
I've started watching around a year ago, and ever since this channel has sort of became a little "safe haven" for me.
I absolutely love your videos and how simple yet thoughtfully put-together they are.
The static camera shots of the landscape, the campfire, and every other small detail are all part of your amazing style of videos.

He threw a whole bunch straight from the supermarket. Definitely not for 1 pack/person. But he finished up after lying down in between eating 😂. Good one though... life is not supposed to be serious all the time.
I'm Korean. Been camping in Ontario over 20 yrs and never made Bibimbap. My mouth is watering after watching yhis. I'm heading to Killarney next week. Y'all know what I'll be eating!!

On my bucket list I had “ a canoe trip with Xander Budnick” ……after watching this video, I’ve realize that that’s impossible. There’s no way I can feed this guy.
My cousin loves Bibimbab a lot, seeing you eat it on your camping reminds me of her. Her mix for the sauce is:
1 tbsp gochang
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tbsp brown sugar
Adjust taste to preference.
You are an amazing young man Xander. I just want you to know that you bring happiness to us all. Many of us suffer through things, and I just wanted you to know that you shine a bright light on all of us. Always remember that. It's been raining for almost 4 months where I live in Wales. I'm sitting here enjoying a whisky watching TH-cam, debating what kind of camp I'm going to do tomorrow night. After watching this, I think it's going to be a tarp camp in the rain. Nice one, mate! Great video.

It’s noon on 5.11.23, I got up late, had breakfast and watched this video, Super))) And yesterday my wife and I went to the flood, this is where Lenin was hiding in a hut. Was he a bushcrafter, that’s the question))) Actually, we came We just before the rain started putting up awnings and starting a fire in the rain, just like you Xander. We were fiddling around and when we finished, the rain stopped)) And the rest of the time we calmly prepared food, ate and looked at the flocks of birds still flying in schools warm countries. That meal looks very tasty! You have become my favorite outdoor guy as your adventures are so various and interesting. I like it when you don’t make it so hard on yourself. ( No food, little equipment) best when you’re comfy and can enjoy the locale.

I wonder how many nights in the year you’ve camped out. It’s so easy to be laying on the couch watching your vids thinking, that looks so nice. I just spent 4 months camping except about 2 weeks in hotels in American west and it’s not easy! And I don’t have to worry about videoing and editing. Rain, snow, and being alone can take its toll. But the beautiful days/new places make it totally worth it. You sure earn your money man! Thanks for making such awesome vids!

I really hope you continue to add in the zany bits. I personally love them, I think you pull it off really well and you have a charisma about you that you can make one laugh. I also like it when you include your failures, like the lost rod, catching your drone with fishing lure, trying to make a smoker out of a tarp.
The tent is simple but very sturdy and your food is delicious, you have an inspiration that I cannot have, that energy conveys to me a lot.

Rain on tarp - there's nothing quite like it as long as you're warm, dry and have something warm to eat. The view just tops it off. 👍🔥
I want to tell you how much we all appreciate you and the hard work you put in for us to enjoy these adventures. A lot of of will never have the time to enjoy these little adventures for ourselves so we live vicariously through you.

Best camping style! Especially for daytime hiking (at night, at home). Hike for a 1-2 hour, set up this camp, cook and chill for few hours, then hike back. Perfect for bad weather.

Loved this video and it reminded me of some of the Japanese camping channels I’ve watched. It is all about making elaborate meals in the woods but your videos are truly Canadian. I can’t believe you didn’t even crack a smile when you were running low on wood at night and said, “it’s always nice to wake up with wood in the morning.” 😮

Hi Xander, a suggestion only, try washing the rice at least 2 times to remove excess starch, or others debris etc. makes rice much tastier. Love your channel btw. Just that gut feeling that you are true when watching your videos and how you do your camping, loved your video 5 Days Solo Island Survival!! Hope youll do more of that:)
