Xander you are the baddest man on the planet! In 3 days I will be 8 years sober. Watching you, having listened to you open up about your struggles, strengthens my resolve. Tons of respect and gratitude for you brother. Keep it rollin’!
Hey man I found your channel by watching Clay H I live near him if you ever want to do a trip in Idaho I would love to come along i could provide a place to stay in Lewiston if you’re interested great videos man I’m jelly
I laughed this morning when I looked at my buddy from the passenger seat of his 2007 LE Camry (250k miles! And only $5k of replacement parts!!!) And I said, "We go places." And he replied. "Close enough."
Just unsubbed, cuz of the ad crap all the time. Trying to watch a video, not an advertisement. If i want toyota ads, i'll go to the toyota channel.......
@@daant2892 So did I, I used to watch his videos explicitly because it was usually just him--on foot, alone in the wilderness, sometimes with a pal. Just him and the woods and the sights and sounds of nature. I watched @Xander Budnick's videos to cope with the sounds of highway traffic bc I lived too close to the freeway and the sound of traffic and knowing the health effects I was suffering from all the carcinogenic dust from all the vehicles was impacting my mental health and blood pressure. I watched his videos because they let me get away from cars. Now his videos are apparently car ads. I would rather sub to a patreon than watch this crap. unsubbed. @wrighty338
He's in the top .01% of YTbrs that take sponsors and it doesn't make me want to poke my eyes out. Always creative and entertaining even if I have no interest in the sponsor itself.
The level and variety of skills that you have to put together a video like this just blows my mind every time you do it. From your camera artistry, to editing skills, to being seriously funny... you do it all while NOT DYING in freaking Nunavut! Thanks for sharing with us... you guys really are the best. ❤
Greetings Mr. Budnick, I'm a random dude in a sea of random people. But I am happy to see you're doing well. I have watched many of your videos in my free time, and I often think about the struggles you have overcome to get where you are now. And I often think about commenting, but I rarely do. For what it may, or may not, be worth, I am proud of your accomplishments. I am proud you've overcome the hurdles. I may not personally know you, but I still wish you the best in everything. I look forward to this video and the next!
Thank you Xander - I really enjoyed this trip. I’m going to read-up on this area and the people living there. Love the driving scenes with you or Max talking about the areas. It’s great to be able to see so much as a 75 yr old disabled person sitting in a chair in my living room. Also enjoy all the drone scenes. Xander 4’ 11”not buying it. Best regards / Greg USA. 🇺🇸🇨🇦
I recommend the 10-part miniseries The Terror, based on the real history of two British state of the art naval vessels for the time, that both went missing in this region in ca 1850 while looking for the North-West Passage to Asia. They have only been found in recent years by archeologists, thanks to the help of indigenous people helping with the search. Fascinating story.
Xander. You're really becoming a king at editing. It was so freaking good and enjoyable and funny too man. Really keep it up. Might be one of your best videos. Love the music too
That drone shot at dusk where the camera pulls away from your tent was epic... glad your drone didn't blow away in that wind! I also liked the bit where you 'interrupt' the editing to give a shout-out to Maxim... very creative!
Wow. I'm an indoor girl who likes perfume and Chanel, and the idea of driving to Nunavut does not interest me in the slightest, but I find myself continually coming back to your channel to watch you brave the outdoors. "Epic", as they say. Love to see the huge sponsorships for you Xander :).
1st - Your videos help me to sleep at night man. I don't think I've missed a single video since you started the YT channel. My fav part of your video is your mmmmmmmmm sound once you bite into your food - keep them up and glad you are still making new content!
Toyota should give Max a Tacoma as well. He did most of the driving. Xander was just goofing off licking the window for most of the trip. Faithful supporter since 6k subscribers, from the Great Country of Texas.
Don't know if Toyota thought this through lol. The majority of us who are watching Xander for comfort/sleep aid/escape from our own realities can't afford this $60k+ truck😅
Xander, big fan here, it's been amazing to watch you and all that you've achieved, I myself have been through a lot in the past year and hope that I can to bring joy back to my life. Keep up the positivity.
So cool you’re getting some sponsor love and making this trip. You’ve earned it and it’s very smart on Toyota considering how many of us tune in every video. Congrats, sir!
Looked like a harsh and baron place to camp, out of this world! Also loved the contrast between the bitter outside wind and the cosy warm glow inside 🔥❄️
Omg what a coincidence - I'm just learning about indigenous people of Nunavut at my uni! What a pleasant way to absorb information about this land! Thank you Xander!
Bro, I've been watching you for over 2 years now I think. I'm in Ontario as well. It's been so nice watching your videos and watching you expand and grow. You're awesome bro! Thank you for the videos and for showcasing our beautiful country to the rest of the world
Chopin and Master and Commander soundtrack on this one, nice. Oh, and no taking a Tacoma truck 30 feet underwater, check! "I love you, truck" at the end, just hilarious.
Nice! Drove the james bay back in November, made it to aire de repos west of Chisasibi but the lake wasnt frozen over & a big storm. Guess a part 2 will be in order? A wolf ran out in front of my truck and ended up in a snowbank at at 10pm - it can be a dangerous road
Hey Xander, I randomly stumbled onto one of your videos a few weeks ago and low and behold, the Xander and Max I lived across the street from growing up! Great content buddy, looking forward to watching more of your videos. All the best!
born and raised in Brampton and still living here. The past month of finding out about your youtube channel, has really made me think different and want to do better for myself. Im only 22 but ive been addicted to alcohol since i was 18. did pills and a bunch of drugs that caused me to have a seizure and internal brain bleed. was in the hospital for 8 days. long story short, you have helped me see the good in life and make a change. My parents are from Newfondland so i enjoy the outdoors a lot. Thank you tho for these amazing travel videos and the free therapy sessions through your words in these videos. Much love brother and keep doing what you do
This is your best produced video yet, from location to editing and all facets in between. Like... almost Nature Channel level! Congrats on the Toyota sponsorship (perfect fit, you're like the Tacoma in human form). Please more cold camping videos! The drone footage really gave such a perspective of your isolation in that absolutely beautiful but utterly desolate place. I was waiting for the drone to be taken by high wind!
Your sense of humor and the beauty of the place made me smile throughout the video! So glad i came across your channel two days ago and by now i watched a dozen of your videos. Good luck to you guys in the following trips and I can’t wait to watch them!
Damn that was awesome! Loved every moment of that vid from the choice in music, the drone footage, the silhouette of you guys walking in the alien looking arctic landscape, the humor that cracked me up! Loved the badass truck too! Nice to know Max played such a big part in putting your trips together, he’s a genius just like you said. I see a full a length movie of you guys in your future.
Sometimes you hate to see TH-camrs selling out, but in this case I couldn't be prouder. So awesome to see a major sponsor like Toyota on Xander's channel
I've almost lost my ice fishing pop up in 30 mph winds. I can't even imagine trying to pitch that big of a tent in that wind. If the wind catches her mid-set up...she's gone forever. Props to you guys. What an amazing trip.
