Yes, we understand that sales of Accord were high, and that it looks good, but who cares about what kind of plastic there is in places where nobody ever touches, or who cares how much front-back travel the gear stick has?! Where is the information about reliability of Accord? what was the main issues with this car? What the fuel economy is? In what trim levels does Accord come? How comfortable ride it has? The video is from 2019, the car is 9 years old at least, could not you get some more detailed information about it?

What a great review. I’m probably an oddity, because I just bought a 2010 Accord V6 after 15 years driving one luxury Japanese sedan after another. Sold my late model Lexus GS 350 to a Lexus dealer last week because I just didn’t care about it anymore. It wasn’t getting much use, it still had over four years of $600 a month payments left, and I was able to walk away without owing a penny. So my new Accord with 80,000 miles came from an old couple who had it dealer maintained for 12 years, and the absolutely pampered this car. What a find.
I had always thought that this generation had the best looking lines of any Accord. Never really thought I’d have one because I was happy to throw money at Lexus GSs, Infiniti Ms, Acura RL, Legend, and TLs. But I got older, recently sold my Porsche 911 and bought a ‘00 Mercedes SL500, and I wanted a fast, reliable, nimble Japanese commuter. I love this car! Putting a Double DIN Apple Play head unit and a 5 channel amp and subwoofer (modest 8”), a back up camera, and Continental Extreme Contact DWS06+ tires on tomorrow (going with 235/45/17s to be a little wide and a little shorter). It’s silver with pristine light grey leather, and it’s been garage kept it’s whole life. Also added a bumper to bumper 40k mile warranty. All in, it’s costing me $18,000…a little more than half of what I owed on the Lexus. This car has such great torque, it’s seat is more comfortable and adjustable than the base fake leather seat in my GS, has more rear legroom, and it’s so nimble and modest looking. Always loved this car (pre 2011 when they added the horizontals tail light segment).

Thanks for reviewing a car that hits so close to home!
I'm glad I finally had the sense to land one just before the pandemic: my aforementioned 2010, EX trim with just 71,777 miles on the OD, guess that's a lucky mileage!

Great video, but the gem to me is the blip of the retro commercial with tracking lines and drab sound included. God, take me back to 1985-1990!!!

John Smith what would be a better car for my first car this Honda Accord or a Chevy Cruze?

@@hectictrey8955 This Honda, no question, and I AM an American car fan usually, but the Cruze is not one of GM's better efforts unfortunately. My secretary got one, and after one year the damn thing needed a new transmission.

Oil burning is common, VTC actuator grind is common, road noise, premature brake pad wear are some problems.
It's zippy, good on gas, good power from VTEC, roomy and high resale value.

My (other)girl! I have the 4cyl EX mid-level trim from 2010, has everything and does eveything I need her to.
Your review car is a step above mine - an EX V6 with leather.

This accord had lot of problems. 1) road noise 2) uncomfortable front seats for long drives and tall drivers 3) rattling plastics exactly at 21mpg 4) the plastics look and feel cheap 5) USB was only given in V6 models (cheap gimicks EVERYONE else had factory USB by 2010) 6) sheet metal for the body panel was the cheapest of any other car in the market at that time , honda did this to get more mpg , prone to dents (one could make dent by pressing a pinky finger).. Reliable yes ..but not well made... Honda cut costs at multiple levels and lost to the competition big time .. They added interior space thats about it.. Engine got PZEV for i-vtech thats it .. over all i never recommend this car... when compared with other cars of that year camry was the best over all package..Else atima or even maxima for v6 model comparison... I had bought it becuase i thought its a no brainer to buy honda accord .. but after you keep this car for few months and its your daily driver and when the whole car rattles , you feel bad and even loose sleep over it .. I sold mine with more than 2K loss .. I like your LS 400 review but I totally disagree with this review ..

I still have my accord lx things I didn’t like about was
1 was the hp they put 177 hp while the ex and elx had 190 that made no sense to me
2 where the buttons on the car where the radios is at their isn’t any type of glow so u can’t see at night when you’re driving u can’t adjust the music or change the radio
3 the damn side mirrors are so terrible 😕
4 they gave us 16 inches wheels when they’re the hardest to find

I have 2010 Accord (2.4 EX-L), bought it about 1.5 years ago. It has 111000 miles on it for now and I'm experiencing absolutely no rattles. Car feels and drives really smooth. All I do is regularly change engine oil. Yes, the dashboard is mostly plastic, but I don't really care about materials, until they don't make any sounds while driving, and currently they don't.

Glad you liked it, and you are correct that they did build Accords of this generation in Marysville, OH. But in 2009 they also started building them in Lincoln, AL. Specifically, the V6 sedans--like this one--were almost all built in Alabama.

NEVER buy a 2010 Honda Accord with the V-6 engine. My brother's wife and my co-worker each bought one when they were only 5 years old with 60,000 miles. About every 30,000 miles the spark plug fouls out and many times it's when it's -40 out and she's 200 miles from home. So she is changing the spark plug in the cold and now the catalytic converter is plugging from the oil that get's past the piston rings. The dealership said that is a problem with that model of V-6 engines is they have defective piston rings. They said it is a very expensive repair and usually is not worth the money to fix. My brother's wife said this is the worst car she has ever owned. To bad she paid $13,000 for it in 2015...
