2010 Honda Accord 2.4 (CP2) Review, walkaround, in-depth tour, and test drive
The Honda Accord has long been the venerable Toyota Camry's rival car in its segment. With ride comfort that is not that far from the Camry, decent enough reliability, while boasting sharper looks, and improved handling, the Honda Accord had always been, and will always be giving the Camry a run for its money.
Unlike the Camry which is only usually available in sedan form (for most generations and countries with some exceptions), the Honda Accord can sometimes be found in 2 form factors: a sedan body, and a coupe. Engine options available include the 2.4L I4 engine, and the 3.5L V6 just like the Camry.

More fun facts about this car:
This generation became so big that Honda ended up downsizing the ninth-generation model. Even the Americans classified this as a full-sized sedan (but mainly because of interior volume).
Still, the Accord is one of the best mid-sizers out there. Shame people don’t but these kinds of cars anymore.

This is my car and I love it so much. Definitely the last fun accord, the next gen had a typical strut suspension up front, not double wishbone.
I like it more than a good old Camry :)
This car is the pinnacle of Honda reliability. Got mine second hand with low mileage and owned for about 3 years, biggest tour I did was 2,000km north luzon loop and another 2,000km south luzon loop with no issues. Great build quality and really nice handling for what it is and what it represents. I believe that this model is the last fun Accord.

our 2010 accord 3.5 already have 220tkm on odo still a really nice car we had almost all accord generation except the newest one all cars have been driven minimum of 200tkm and none had any major issues

how is the fuel consumption?
Hows the fuel consumption? Bcus an altis fuel consumption is terrible at 5-7km/liter. And i would rather buy this if it has the same fuel consumption.

My most favorite generation of this Honda Accord so far! The wheels on the 3.5 SV V6 looks badass! This is definitely similar to the final generation Acura TL in North America.
Interesting fact: In Nigeria, this was nicknamed as the "Evil Spirit" because some people are low-key terrified of the design because it looks like some kind of demonic monster.
By the way, Kyle, can you try reviewing a 2017 Toyota Camry this time? Try to look for the mid-range 2.5 V if you can?

I think one of the main reasons for choosing to buy this car over say a brand new sub compact is the difference in build quality. i sure would have loved to hear stuff about its ride quality, nvh, comfort and fuel economy after aging well. For its price today, do you think it is better to opt for this rather than a more expensive bnew subcompact? Given that subcompacts could be at times below expectations in some areas.

With the blackened headlights and slightly slim taillights, this doesn't look like a decade old car. Just a few tweaks would make this car look more expensive and modern than the best selling compact and midsized sedans in the country.

This generation of the accord is also the last to use a double wishbone suspension thus the better handling. Struts were used in the succeeding generation. Is that K24 the engine used to be parted out and placed in 90s civics for Speed and Powah? Or was it the K20?Nice review, anyway! Cheers. :)

This is the las GEN that doesn’t use CVT transmission. It’s a really good GEN.

Not quite sure as there were 2 types of these. The Euro and Japan version differed from the ones we got here
Driver seat is the worst part about this car. Very uncomfortable, especially on long drives. Otherwise this was a great, reliable car for me. 250,000 miles.Never had any issues aside from the oil burning, which Honda took care of and rebuilt the engine for free and fixed it like new.
My only issue with the driver’s seat is that the front thigh support area doesn’t go down far enough haha

Agreed. And because I used this car as an Uber driver, driving for hours on end, it messed up my back and lower spine. I had to buy a special seat cushion to help correct it. The seat should go down far enough to put your back and thighs at a 90 degree angle. Toyota understands this.
Yes agree IDK why Honda didn’t fix that simple issue. Succeeding cars are fine though

Double wishbone, Honda style, all the way around.
The k24z2 is EXACTLY the same as the k24z3. Different tune. An tune alone cane bring it to 190ish HP.
The rear struts mount into the unibody frame giving it automatic strength.
The base models weight only 3k lbs, which for a car this size is surprisingly light.
Mine is on coil overs with a camber kit and it handles impeccably.
These cars have tons.of potential as they were one of the models Honda overbuilt for its needs.
