the Xjet has small changeable inserts where the chemical joins the water, these are callled proportioners and allow a set ratio of chems/water through. Yes you can use biocides through ....hope this helps and thanks for asking.
Hi, yes that is the purpose of the Xjet, to make sure you are applying the correct dose of chemicals, this is determined by little different apertured fittings called Proportioners 😊
Looking at the owners manual, it appears you would need to order the Xjet M5 -13k This is the only one that covers 3000-4000 psi and is 4GPM www.rutlandpumps.com/user/PDF%20ARCHIVE/X-Jet/X-Jet-Spec-Sheet-Parts.pdf
what would a person need for just the basic set up to get started? thanks for any help you can give. i have a disability and have been looking for a company that i could start on my own and that intrest me. cant seem to find work, so this might be a possiblity. thanks again.
Awesome video mate, we appreciate your time and knowledge. Have a question about down streaming vs Xjet Why can't the downstream injector work like an X jet at the middle or end of the wand???
Hi Reno, It can mate, They can be placed at the beginning or the end of your hose. You could use a roll over nozzle holder to switch between high and low pressure if you prefer to use your chemical injector at the beginning of your hose. This way you can change pressure and leave the injector in the line. No need to return to the machine to turn off the soap. But, what if you need more than 100 feet of hose? No problem, just move the injector down the line. It can even go on the end of your wand just before your nozzle.

I’m confused. I thought you could get as low as 1:3 on an x Jet , so starting with 15 % should get around 5%% at the nozzel. Forgive me I’m only starting out…
I use a 10 litre drum of hypo (easier to carry round) and in that I add about 2 x 5second squirts of Aldi's Magnum washing up liquid ;) Hope this helps
Hi, it acts as a surfactant and helps the hypo adhere to the surface for longer rather than just run away, also helps to see where you have covered :) Hope this helps
@@thebincleaner did you not say the beige proportioned dilutes at 16:1 ? If that the case you only get 0.9% final solution. You’ll have to dilute at 5.3:1 to get 3% at the tip when drawing from 15% stock hypo.

I'm afraid that's something you would have to look into, sorry.
It ruins pumps too running SH through the pump. On my echo 4200 4gpm it did. Also the seals

@@thebincleaner okay mate, I understand...thanks aways
Great explanation, Thank you.
Thank you Arya
That was well explained. Good show.
Hi mate, did you not dilute the SH at all yourself? Just straight streamed it into the water?
Hi,
That correct, the XJET has changeable proportioners that do the diluting for you.
Different ratios for different chemicals 😉
Hi, where do you buy your hypo from? Cherrs

How much does it get diluted? Do you always get a accurate mix?
Hi Eli,
when using the appropriate proportioner the 15% SH gets diluted 16:1 on a 23lpm machine..
The mix should be permanently accurate 😀
What is the best strength to get it mixed at
I’m confused. I thought you could get as low as 1:3 on an x Jet , so starting with 15 % should get around 5%% at the nozzel. Forgive me I’m only starting out…
Class thanks for that, going to order one saves me time rather than using a watering can and brush. Saves a bit of sweat aswell haha
you won't regret it
What’s the best proportioner to use if you just wanted to spray a driveway for a post treatment
Hi Brandon,
The best one to use would be the "Beige" one, which in the UK gives a dilution of 10:1 @15lpm (4GPM US) 🤓
At what pressure, does the xjet work? Thank you
It can be used with virtually any pressure washer, hot or cold, from 1000psi to 6000psi.
Thanks for this video 👍
My pleasure
How much washing up liquid to the drum of hypo?
I use a 10 litre drum of hypo (easier to carry round) and in that I add about 2 x 5second squirts of Aldi's Magnum washing up liquid ;)

Wats the reason for washing up liquid in mix of hypo
Hi,
it acts as a surfactant and helps the hypo adhere to the surface for longer rather than just run away, also helps to see where you have covered :)
Hope this helps
Is that just your normal pressure washing gun you attached to the x jet
it is just a basic trigger with a small QR extension that the Xjet connects to so I don't have to lea as far
Can you use it to rinse off a driveway or house after you've applied SH?
yes sure, some of them come with QR chemical hose so you aren't dragging it around while rinsing.
What do you mix your hypo at
it depends on the severity of the black spot...usually about 4%
Great job bro
I subscribed 👍
thank you
Hi what proportioner are you using for your Hypo
Hi Dave, I use the beige coloured one 16:1 😉
Is the hypo ok on cars?
Nooooo.
Wait it doesn't dilute it AT ALL? really
Yes it does, as you use the Pressure Washer it draws(pulls) the chemical into the M5 nozzle, diluting it there 😉
How hot of a mix can it provide?
if you leave the proportioner out then it will be at it's "hottest" ...depending on the LPM or GPM machine...ie 21LPM will give a ratio of 2 : 1
Hi Stuart did you no when you put washing up liquid with hypo you are making mustard gas bad idea
this brand washing up liquid does not contain any ammonia, I've had worse when peeing in the bucket I once had hypo in...now that's bad ! 😄
@@thebincleaner 👍
What kind of chemical is that
it says in the video ...Sodium Hypochlorite 😉
