      @@aaronbailey3640 I really appreciate you positive feedback and constructive criticism. I’m an owner/operator and not much of a tech guy so these are just me and my phone before and after; sometimes I get family to hold the phone as I do the actual work. I will do my best to shoot something soon for you 👍🏻 I have a tri-pod and another thing that holds the phone but I always feel like the home owner may find it unprofessional to watch me doing a time consuming task and not be focused on the scope of work. I totally understand your point though and will try my best to make it happen.

    Looks like the length of the xjet braided hose is very long, I thought after 12 feet it does not pull a high concentration. I’m just starting cleaning roofs can you comment to hose length ?

    • @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781
      @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You’ll have no problem getting a 4% solution using 100’. I highly recommend getting a 12v bleach pump for roof washing because you’ll need to be able to pull a 6% solution and use a soft washing method to successfully clean roofs. I use the northstar machine from northern tool but if you can afford a fatboy bandit, I would go with that.

    Hey my friend. Good video. I have the original xjet-- it's not bad. I agree, the standard length hose is just not going to get you far-- I will try 50 feet-- I dont mind carrying the 5 gallon bucket/pale-- I was using my 13 gallon electric pump sprayer tank on wheels to make it a littler easier-- I just need to drill a hole in the lid so I can put a drop tube in there and wheel it around

    May I ask what surfactant, is any, are you using on the house/surfaces? I saw on an earlier comment you use 60/40 with 100' hose. Probably a dumb question but is that 60 (chem) 40 (water)?

    • @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781
      @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Justin, you can use green gain original laundry detergent for a house wash successfully and effectively. 1/4 cup per 5 gallons. To answer your question yes that is chem to water. I play with those dilution rates to get a brighter more efficient clean or way less hot to save certain surfaces. If you shoot SH straight then you’ll be just around a 4% mix, which is hot enough to do anything but a roof. Best of luck out there!

      @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781 Nice! Thank you so much, Trevor! I will be using my XJET modified with M5 twist for the first time tomorrow on my personal property. We live in a very hot, humid area. Most homes are brick with single roofs, so I'll be getting my softwash roof setup within the next week or so. I'm just still a bit confused about the dilution ratio when using the xjet on bricks and stucco. Any advice you could give would be GREATLY appreciated. You truly are a master of your craft, my friend.

    • @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781
      @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JustinsCustomsPinnaclePros hi Justin, I suggest that you do not use a proportioner and run the XjetM5 open. I would start your batch mix at a 50/50 and strengthen from there as needed. Dilution rates vary based upon amount of organic matter present on surface. Always do a test on painted surfaces to determine color fast safety.

    Great video!
    1) how do you connect a longer hose to the xjet?
    2) what dilution comes out when no proportioner is used?
    Thanks!

    • @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781
      @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Kyle. Just buy a 3/8th food grade siphon hose of your choice; could be 30’ or 50’ or what I run 100’ and just attach it to the brass barb off the X-Jet M5. If you want the on/off attachment then take it off the 12’ section they give you and splice the new hose, insert it, clamp it and done. With no proportioner and 10.5% sodium hypochlorite you’ll be near a 4% solution. Enough to do everything except I run a 12v system for my roofs because I find that a 6% mix is much more effective. I hope this helps.👍

    • @kylebaker8224
      @kylebaker8224 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the response! Is it difficult to remove the barb? It’s stuck on their pretty good and I don’t want to mess with the integrity of the equipment

    • @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781
      @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kylebaker8224 you don’t need to remove the barb from the nozzle, the other barb goes into the jug and with a longer hose you’ll need to get a different chemical dispensing jug because it will inevitably get pulled over onto its side. I use a hand truck and a 55 gallon poly tank but you can go way smaller like a 30 gallon tank and then put the screen on the end to weight the hose into the bottom of the solution and fix/strap the hose to the side so it doesn’t come out while shooting.

  • @Justforall7
    @Justforall7 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great work. Do you get enough mixed ratio with 100’ hose? I saw some TH-cam videos where guys said the x-jet doesn’t draw SH if hose is 50’ or more.

    • @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781
      @t-n-tpressurecleaning7781  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Hok, I definitely batch mix my solution a tad hotter than I would when running the 15’ that it comes with. I started out using 30’ then went to 50’ for a few years and pretty much always now use the 100’ instead of using a 50/50 mix try a 60/40 for a standard Housewash mix with moderate organics. The only time you’ll see a difference is when you climb a ladder over 18’ you’ll see a drop in suction but you can prime the hose by jiggling it up and down and it’ll start to pull (you’ll see your soap hitting where you need from above. On the ground you’ll never loose and suction. I run no proportioner FYI

      Lol! That’s a 55 gallon chem tank that has no bulk head or areas that would leak. I’ve been doing this for over 30 years and never had an issue. In fact I help many other contractors build simple and effective set ups so that the labor is decreased and the safety is paramount. I appreciate your concern and it is certainly valid if proper precautions aren’t strictly followed. Best of luck out there👍

      Not recently. You’ll need to limit your exposure no matter what. Learn to use the wind in your favor (if possible) have and use a flushing method. Irritation is usually quite common. Wear glasses, use caution. Our skin is organic and we are using a caustic chemical to clean and kill organics. You want to be healthy 20 years from now so don’t be sloppy out there by rushing and blasting chems everywhere. I do know a guy who was shooting an enclosure after being in the business for a while and damaged his eyes, he never wants to be an exterior cleaning contractor ever again; he’s not blind but certainly scarred him pretty bad.
