Operated via the free LEGO® TECHNIC™ CONTROL+ app. Multi-function control: Drive forward, reverse, steer, rotate the superstructure, extend, raise and lower the boom, open and tilt the bucket and get model feedback, such as boom and superstructure position, power usage and drive distance. You can also create Custom-built movements: Use pre-set commands or record the model’s actions to create complex sequences of movements. App features Challenges & achievements: Complete challenges to unlock reward badges. The model is a Replica of the Liebherr R 9800 Excavator with an array of true-to-life features and functions, finished with an authentic color scheme and cool sticker detailing.Includes access ways, cockpit, extensible ladder and more. Not compatible with the Power Functions systems. Liebherr R 9800 Excavator measures over 15” (39cm) high, 25” (65cm) long and 10” (27cm) wide.

8+ hours maybe. I did not count but that's a number which stands in memory.

I built my on in 3 days it's one best challenge sets I've seen so far from Lego this model is £400.00 in argos in Smith toys it's only 270.00

Hi is it became loose with time ?(part falling off)
I have not used it so much but all things seem to be in place and working as they are supposed to work. The set is still assembled and packed away in box.
How many batteries does this thing need?
Each block 6 batteries so 12 on total!!
6 AA inn the base to control tracks and turn and 6 AA in the top section to control the jib, dipper, bucket and open and close bucket.
