Isn't the model with a single motor and gearbox more sophisticated than one that simply provides a motor for each function? I'm thinking the older models are going be future collectibles.
The problem with a single motor and gear box is there is so much stress on the motor and the sheer weight of the bucket wheel excavator doesn't help the problem either, but you are right about it becoming a really valuable collectable
Honestly tho who really cares about the motor it’s about the look and how u can use them for fun
@@zachb1785 motors are fairly durable, its the gear that get stressed more. liebherr designer was lazy and threw motors at the any motorized problem issue.
When the wheel excavator was still in shelf’s that was the only thing I wanted

Fun fact: the reason the bucket wheel excavator acts like it has a jam issue is because of its weak motor. If it was smaller, it would act less jammy and more bucket wheel
My dad bought me the libherr and I think it’s gonna take me like 20 years to build it

They do Cleary move at different speeds at but I feel like they could have fit one More Large motor in the bucket wheel and it would have been perfect, either way they are both amazing sets and both do things differently

I think that for the way cheaper price , the bucket wheel excavator is a way better set, I have both and that is my opinion

I think the MKIII would fill Volvo A60H quicker but I the remote controlled Liebherr would be so much more fun at the beach with the kids

I have only the bucket excavator and think it is fine. The Liebherr seem to be fine too but it is really silly to compare how fast they move. Of course a buckett excavator moves slowly.

I think the bucket wheel excavator is way better because for the building it has more fun and exploring but still this is my opinion

The wheel excavator is much slower, but I think in real life would be exactly the same. I imagine the real wheel excavator will move VERY slowly.
