  • Check out the amazing new LEGO Technic 42100 Liebherr 9800 Excavator in use. Can you dig it?
I'll show you how to make a barrier to dig against, how to operate the controls, starting with the basics, onto custom functions and advanced techniques.
I'll look at 3 different materials for digging with and recommend one that is fun to use - then demo moving a huge stack of them with both the LEGO 42100 and my Mining Truck MOC!
Let me know what you think in the comments and check out my other LEGO Technic videos!

I just finished one. I like it as a building experience better than the 1/8 supercars because it actually works.

Cheers. I’m getting it for Christmas and this is the only vid I’ve seen that actually explains how to use it properly

Did you enjoy it? Found any cool functions for the motors, BT boxes and actuators?

What about Roses chocs? Perfect for Xmas day when you're too lazy to get up and fetch the tin. Tip into a pile. Use digger to get

Wow I love the digger/truck teamwork. Did you have many helpers at the controls ?

Thanks! No it was just me. Camera on a tripod, Control+ app on my phone for the digger and old-style LEGO RC control for the dump truck :)

Awesome review of this monster set. How is the battery life? Both with the set itself and with your phone?

Thanks! I had to change the batteries for the upper Control+ hub after about 3hrs. It was getting really slow by the end of moving all those packing peanuts in the can you dig it video. The power pack that powers the tracks lasted about twice as long but I wasn't travelling too much. Would make sense to use rechargeable batteries, in fact it would be cool if LEGO made a rechargeable battery that fitted in the hub tbh. I had my phone on the charger while I was filming so not sure about that.
