My FW F/A-18 Hornet was hard to keep straight on takeoff. I added the ASSAN AG61 Nose Wheel Gyro, and it tracks straight as can be since adding it. Now the Spektrum AS3X+ update has a NWS stab feature if you are using a NX/IX series Tx updated to FW 3.X or a DX series updated to 2.11 FW.
Great to see some progress on this model, and I can relate to "getting annoyed" ;) One can only take so much ...... Can't wait to see the day when you get a successfull flight in !
That’s why i put it aside for awhile. 6 previous models; 10 crashes. Now this is v7 and “flew” so once i can get it to track straight i think it will work.
Thrust vectored yaw with a gyro? Like a rear engined car its wanting to swap ends. Cant see dual tires fixing that? Maybe load the rear with more weight for traction until aero forces are strong enough? sorry rambling.
Hi, i like your videos, i will tell you the problem, i had the same problem, the problem is that ducted fan produces rotated air flow and this make aircraf unstable, the part after the ducted fan which is for direct the air flow is not enough, put a + shape part just behind ducted fan about 3-4 cm long, this will direct the air flow and solve your problem... Please do this and give us a good flight 😊
The throw on the nose wheel is already minimal. Recent reading/research has to do with pivot point in the LG moving the mains 75mm forward should minimize this pivot area.
I have no choice. This is the only AMA field that has a runway. It worries me too. i do trust my skill. I will sacrifice the plane before anything. There are two roads and a house that surround this field that I have to stay away from. Usually i will maiden unknown planes at another field. I tried and could get speed off grass. I wont track straight so off the road was also a no; i tried (you can see both in the vid). So the runway had to happen.
@@kmi3dprintI would definitely hand launch this using iNav Autolaunch... Then you can launch it in the middle of nowhere... Trying to takeoff the ground with a small plane and small wheels is going to be extremely difficult.
Moved 80mm forward. Made a big different, but the "linkage" in the nose wheel needs to be stabalized. New, totally redesigned, model coming out. Added stabalization to the nose wheel and moved over to dual nose wheel setup
Might need some kind of rudimentary suspension setup? It seems to be bouncing and skittering a lot so maybe even some rubber tires (o-rings?), to help smooth it out long enough to get up to speed? Failing that, make an RC car launch platform and have someone else drive that so you can get enough initial speed?
ONCE.............. you put it back together, MayBe try flying off on one (1) side of the runway. Since she KEEPS Drifting right, place the a-c on the left side of the ramp........kinda like bowling, just, (in this case) don't Strike OUT!!
@@kmi3dprint Good luck ! I use a katapult to get my EDF's in the air. So they got the speed for having control. But - yes - landing is then a real challenge.
Not on this model. There is no chance with the way electronics need to be setup. I wanted to do it but the "scale" position of the main vtol is right above the battery.

Stealth was a cool movie, and even cooler is seeing an RC of the Talon! You'll get it, keep it up!

You'll get it!!! It's very cool.
I have yet to see this design anywhere outside of Ace Combat
the movie Stealth, looks like a Talon
@ speaking on real world terms

dual tires 100% fixed it! th-cam.com/video/EJr-FY1A9R0/w-d-xo.html

Nice jet, it will fly. And I look forward to seeing it fly
looks like some ace combat shit
Directional control really seems to be an issue on the ground. Maybe decrease the throw of the nose wheel steering?

Always worries me when I see experimental / maiden flights near a highway, recipe for disaster!

Wait a minute thsts not the burkut its the one off of ace combat ,I game I played yeeeeears ago!
Is it? I’m actually going off the movie “Stealth”
Keep trying!! You will get this!! It seems very low to the ground and in a nose down attitude.
Looks good. Try moving your main landing gear forward closer to the CG.

@@kmi3dprint Hope to see it fly soon.

The nose wheel needs to be stabalized. It shoudl be fixed in this next, totally redesigned, model
all you need is shorter grass ! love the shape of this model - gorgeous . ( I know that " Oh F***K moment !)
Looks awesome! Will you upload the files in cults?
Once it flies i will upload it. I haven’t uploaded a plane that i haven’t flown yet. But thinking about making a static version of this.
Try moving cg backward half inch at a time

run the steering servo on a gyro and turn up the gains, very cool design.
can you share the project file to make this like open source?
OHHHHH YESSSSSSS
The fron wings more biger is a problem
Ahhhhhh the Burkut!
You should use an autogyro
It does not want to fly.
It really doesn’t. But i will get there. Ha ha

Very cool
Why not try iNav and autolaunch it to the moon?
❤❤
Increase the wing surface area.
Have a word with the guy that runs the @builtfast channel....
@hotlapkyle
With all those forward facing surfaces, maybe it would fly better in reverse.
Is vtol model possible

Could be nose heavy
Under powered.
On the road try on a road 🫤😕🫡TALLONis that you breathing are you oke 🙁
