What type of transmitter do you use? I have been flying on an NX8 and AR630 receivers and I have had a real problem with loss of signal control. I crashed a Ultra Slow stick from about 200 feet, i was doing a maneuver and it was headed into the dirt and with 10 seconds to recover, I was moving the sticks like a madman and the plane had a mind of its own and barreled straight into the ground with zero deviation from my inputs. I had a flight today that almost ended the same way, but luckily i regained control about 2 seconds above the ground. I am really looking for a more reliable alternative.
First of all, awesome video and commentary. This makes me want to get back into RC! I taught aerobatics for about 8 years in Decathlons, a Pitts and an Extra300 and for the most part you're using the same sight pictures and references that I used to teach my students. Thank you for the encouragement! It feels great to hear affirmation from a pro aerobatic pilot😁. This is Bob Swenson Memorial Field near Irvine Lake - as close to RC heaven as it gets!
Is that a goggles 3? Are you not worried about the goggles 3 but that will make you lose video signal when used with 03 air unit? I guess on a fixed wing you can easily disarm and arm again on losing vid signal.
On this flight, I was using Goggles 2 with O3 air unit, no flight controller. Just turning low power mode off on air unit. No arming signal - so coincidently no issues with Goggles 3 if not armed.

@@Pardogad yeah! Just need a promoter for air races, dogfight events and such😁
The cool thing is the HUD/reflex sight.
Correct! It’s a parallax free functional reflex sight. I use it for precise attitude reference against horizon: fpvdogfight.com/products/motionsic-arms-attitude-reference-miniature-sight
Top Gun, The series
You get the idea. The best FPV pilots from RC clubs across the country come together for a dogfight tournament. Know any promoters?

Beautiful Zeus! Surfing in fog seems more scale than I thought. Nice!:))
@@emiliyanmartinov Thanks! Hope to get FC ready so Artificial Horizon and return to home is available if I get into thicker fog.
@@motionsic I already ordered mine and waiting for it to arrive. SpeedyBee F405 WING APP. But the iNav mess is yet to come :D
@@emiliyanmartinov indeed😂
Nice!
I have that Cirrus aircraft, but still haven't dared to fly it, yet.
@@christer8964 What’s stoping you?
@@motionsic It look so nice hanging in the roof of my living room, and the field where I can fly my planes is tiny and you have to round some trees for landing.
Amazing. Love having the fog, like having clouds. Lol
Beautiful!
But what is missing is a double Cam Stereo in the Cockpit for a real 3D vision experience.
I will be needing then an 11 Channel Radio for that extra Cam - right?
Imagine the military applications😮😮😮😮
Sure, we play mock dogfights without actually using bullets, just for fun🙂
He will get hire by the Army to do some training for sure.
This is beautiful. Where is the VR altitude and other indicators?
Will show in following episodes.
Amazing
this is the future of miliary simulator games lol . get guys with all kinds of RC toys start a war against each other
Geez, been doing this since the mid 1980's... Started with helicopters without gyros. You should try a 3D setup but it works best NOE. The effect goes away with altitude but is awesome low and slow...
wow amazing !!
Can you make a video how setup the reverse Thrust. Thanks
@@fortunajetsrc Yeah. I had a little trouble setting it up initially. Thanks for the request.
finally somebody did it
Yes! Realizing childhood dream of being a fighter pilot shared by many after watching Top Gun😎
Epic! 🙌
@@thecavemandynamic2685 Thank you😁
@@motionsic You are very welcome!
Dude, how are you making those sights?!??
It’s proprietary. We have been working on them for years. Available to you conveniently here:

Amazing - first time i have seen this - shall read your notes, meanwhile, what camera are u using onboard?
O3 Air Unit Camera, see the video following this one for install tutorial and other components.
Cool! Do you think it's possible to fly that thing down the hatch of a T90 main battle tank? Just asking for a friend .......
Too nice of a system to waste on Kamikaze attack on a T90 tank, totally could dive bomb just as accurately though🤠
Oh wow. My dreams of flying comes true. How to i get this setup?

wow si logra poner pantallas con sensores digitales o analogos seria genial, algo asi como medidor de velocidad, medidor de guerza g, altimetro, etc.
Working on it!
Hi, from where is it shipped?
Thank you

What type of transmitter do you use? I have been flying on an NX8 and AR630 receivers and I have had a real problem with loss of signal control. I crashed a Ultra Slow stick from about 200 feet, i was doing a maneuver and it was headed into the dirt and with 10 seconds to recover, I was moving the sticks like a madman and the plane had a mind of its own and barreled straight into the ground with zero deviation from my inputs. I had a flight today that almost ended the same way, but luckily i regained control about 2 seconds above the ground. I am really looking for a more reliable alternative.
@@jasonthornton2525 I have been using FrSky X20S with TD R10 for three years, have not had any control issues.
First of all, awesome video and commentary. This makes me want to get back into RC! I taught aerobatics for about 8 years in Decathlons, a Pitts and an Extra300 and for the most part you're using the same sight pictures and references that I used to teach my students. Is this near the Trabuco Flyers site or Lake Irvine? Those ridge lines look awfully familiar.
Thank you for the encouragement! It feels great to hear affirmation from a pro aerobatic pilot😁. This is Bob Swenson Memorial Field near Irvine Lake - as close to RC heaven as it gets!
@@motionsic I thought it was that area. We practiced east and south of Coto De Caza. I'll definitely check it out if I'm in the area again.
@@chrisbebensee334 Let me know when you want to visit. I will show you around🙂
Einfach nur geil.
Thank you!
Esto está increiblemente bueno.
¡Gracias! Me alegro de que hayas venido a dar el paseo.
Nice. I wonder what the latency is between moving your head and getting the image back reflecting the new angle.
@@clintonkeith5333 Haven’t measured, not enough to cause issues while flying. Latency for visual transmission is about 30ms.
oh hell yeah! I nearly got the Zeus instead of the 64mm f14 XD
I wanted the F-14 64mm, too. But cockpit is too tight to fit the BAG and camera. Still waiting for the 80mm update.
I can’t believe we’re still using mechanical head tracking in 2024 when we have amazingly good 360° cameras.
Waiting for someone like you to do something about it🙂
Is that a goggles 3? Are you not worried about the goggles 3 but that will make you lose video signal when used with 03 air unit? I guess on a fixed wing you can easily disarm and arm again on losing vid signal.
On this flight, I was using Goggles 2 with O3 air unit, no flight controller. Just turning low power mode off on air unit. No arming signal - so coincidently no issues with Goggles 3 if not armed.
any updates on the condition of the airfield itself? the fire is burning away from it, right?
@@icannotfly not flying for this week and next as the field is closed and has become a base of firefighting operations. The good news is the field itself is not threatened by fire, at least currently.
@@motionsic that's good! I had heard the start was somewhere near you but wasn't sure how close.
@@icannotfly it actually started near another RC field called Trabuco Flyers, which gave the fire it’s name “Airport Fire”. Ironically it was started accidentally by county crew while doing fire prevention work when his equipment sparked. So sad🥲
@@motionsicgood they found the cause hope everyone is safe . You can patrol from the sky and give live updates
FPV videos were so funny that other RC videos got fed up. There's also a sound in the flight video. Does the air unit also have a microphone?
No, unfortunately not. Current air unit for sale do not include microphones. Audio recordings are from my cell phone. The OG Air Unit did have mic on it but no longer for sale except in used market🥲
