The fact that if not all, almost all of your planes are so locked in that it's like a natural gyro says WORLDS about your design skills! Just absolutely exemplary! As always, your excitement is so contagious! Another amazing video dude! Hats off to you man!
Note from the UK here, In the mid 1960s as an apprentice I worked on the TSR2 aircraft. Plenty of information about it online and even a diecast model available. It would make an incredible flying model.
@@cybersecuritydeclassified4793Hi, I worked for Bristol Siddeley Engines. Never heard of them? During my time there we made the engines for Concord, Invented an made the first Harrier engines, engines and rear fairing for TSR2 and maintained the engines for the Vulcan. Crazy times
The SU47 is a nearly perfect airframe. It doesn't really have bad habits; they did their homework to make sure the forward sweep doesn't become an uncontrollable nightmare. It's also VERY easy on the eyes....Motion RC used to sell an ARF dual 70mm one, and I wore out multiple ones until they discontinued it, and I was heartbroken...thank you for making a cheap replacement! Rene Rosentrager sells his SUXR 3d print files which is a slightly modified SU47, and it flies beautifully, but this is a lot cheaper to crash!!!
Haven't flown an rc plane in about 5 years, been stuck on fpv drones for that whole time. But you videos the last month made me want to get my 3d printer up to snuff and print a good fpv plane
CONGRATS man ... this is MAGNUM OPUS territory IMHO. Well done bruv Way your going at the moment .... guys from DARPA will be offering you bags of money to "investigate projects" pretty soon m8 :P
Great design of a great jet! Looking forward to purchase a plan and fly her... those passive cannards do the job for high Alphas!!!! Keep up the good work !! Cheers!!!!
It takes me days to psych myself up to fly my UMX Timber. I can't believe you just whack these things out with such regularity, and the performance speaks for itself. The little grass flick at the end revealed you to be a thoughtful man and not prone to temper flareups! What a great time!
Oh Tyler caught some heat after that little excitement purge, couldn’t cut the feed fast enough. We’ve all been there on both the giving and receiving end. Well, I have anyway. Nice build, as usual dude. Would love to see you scale up and go for some vectored thrust. Clearly has the inherent stability to make it a worthy platform for a stab at it.
@@Spacemanspiff808 🤣 yes it could be scaled but I have some secret plans with something that is way simpler to make work with vectored thrust systems. It has an X designation and the design has started 😉
My man, your designs are awesome. You've obviously come up with a formula of IDK, 5 or 6 key variables that are hitting bang on. I only came across your channel this week and I'm so impressed. If you haven't designed a WWII F4U Corsair and a P51 Mustang I'd love to see you dive in. 👍🏻👍🏻
I watch your videos just to listen to you. The planes are cool too! I'm almost done building my second 64mm Viggen. Was going to print the YF-23. But this looks tasty.
Everything is posible if you follow your dreams. I found exactly how it feels when built fa37 Talon with working wings. Congratulations, but don't stop this is just beginning of the journey.
Very very good. I have build a EF2000 with moveable canards. It flies so good as yours. I build all my planes with Depron. And I think you are on a good way to find the correct CG for the maiden flight. I am looking forward to your next video. 😊
Thanks!! I’m going to use your term from now on, lands like a pillow! I’ve actually never had 3 landings like that where they come in right at my feet like a plop pillow. Let alone the first three flights ever!
Top notch! 👍👍👍👍 My foamie top view Su-47 side view su-30 70mm edf has additionally moving canards. I’m still struggling whether to have them actuated or not. Mine flies good so far but is not as handsome as yours. So not an everyday plane. I still search for opportunities to tame mine.cheers from Germany
Wow, that flies amazingly well!! I can't believe that doesn't have a gyro! And nice toss BTW. When you said you were going to launch it from the rear, I had my doubts. I was thinking, "shouldn't he made a 'hand hold' on the bottom?". But that launch was perfect.
It flies great but know I'm really wondering what it would do with the elevator and flap movement coupled to move in opposite directions during elevator stick movement. I doubt it could improve flight characteristics but who knows, it might pitch even more drastic from the change. It could also be the end of your current flier if something strange happens.
You shouldn't excuse yourself about praising your amazing effort, your the fastest 3D printed airplanes I've ever came across on TH-cam. You should start each take showing the newspaper to the camera as it's hard to believe how fast is your output :)
😮 that looks amazing! I have many questions now! How would you think it would do with elevator, ailerons and rudder all working and perhaps even the canards? And an fpv system on board?😁
Unfortunately I don't have a 3d printer. I am amazed how well the SU 47 flies. Any way you can sell me the plans{tiled pdf} so I can build a foam version?
Thank you!! So the F4 has been done by others, I’ve never been a huge fan of making the F4 in RC scale. Some planes lend themselves to RC and some don’t. I’m not a landing gear kinda guy and I think the F4 definitely needs them for a few reasons. It will rip the tails off without them. They have super thin wings and I don’t use wing spars in my designs. I wish I could, maybe one day 👍🏻
How about some WW2, Blohm and Voss, Horten, Moon bat or Flying Pancake. Or other oddities. Or an X or Y wing. Or fighters from Battle Star Galactica. A starship shuttle may not fly well but what if you used clear plastic, low visibility wings. Possibly a parasol mounted wing. Or VZ-9 Avrocar by Avon Canada. Avrocar could be challenging. A VZ-9 build could be less symmetrical and have a lifting body incorporated. Or a space shuttle. SR-72, B-2. B-2 may be challenging.
I’d feel bad charging you because my rate would be way more than other people’s that print stuff as a business. I’d contract some professional printers. There is a guy in Europe that contacted me to allow him to sell my prints physically
The planes you've designed may be good BUT I think that a lot of credit has to go to your flying skills (as I've seen a couple of times you maneuvered and recovered when others I've seen haven't)
