This was an amazing project to work on, and the nose wheel was just to keep me from crashing like I did with my first attempted maiden. Keep the challenges coming! It will be awesome to see what the community comes up with next!

Dad used to fly R/C and any time he went to try something new, he would go what he called "3 mistakes high" and then try it.
Also this was awesome to watch.
Finally you guys got rid of the Spektrum radios, that's the best thing that happened to this channel in years!
We absolutely love our radio masters and also the new ELRS protocol
I use a Spektrum NX10SE and a Radiomaster TX16s Mk2 and I think they're both great radios. Seems to be the in thing to hate Spektrum these days lol 😂

@@r1m.dog78have the dx8e and support is horrible (broke in days and they wouldn’t fix it) and it’s so confusing to program

Hey FT, I believe you guys made one way back in the day but I’d love to see an OV10 bronco build again. Living in California for 20 years I’ve seen the cal fire ones flying around during summer my whole life and it’s a rather interesting plane history as well. Think yall could make a super cool one!

I imagine it's a lot like a jetski, where you can only course correct under power. The moment you cut power, you lose authority. Very cool.

The receiver output configuration can also be done via the ELRS Lua script on the radio. No need to use Wifi for that.

Hey cool Project have you guys looked into thrust vectoring vtols like the trijet by dietmar Metz presented by essential rc somewhere on TH-cam there is an interview with dietmar where he explains some of the channel mixing to achieve the vtol capabilities with the thrust vectoring EDFs.
That tree will forevermore be known as the "Wheeee tree"

The ability to bind multiple entirely sparate elrs recievers and remap the channels lets you do some pretty funky stuff yeah lol.
I saw someone with crow and the EDF. He deployed it mid flight and it dropped like a rock into the ground. Too much! I prefer my straight up EDF and the prop on a swivel.
Looking at the vector thrust nozzle design could u possibly shrink it to take smaller motors that would pivot inside the housings and poss make a working harrier jump jet able to perform proper VTOL and poss even as a little challenge try to land it on a model aircraft carrier as the big issue is the transition form vertical hover to horizontal flight and back to hover 🤔 loving the posts and the amazing builds 👍have a fantastic one guys stay safe take care all the very best from Scotland to you 👍 👊

Is it possible to build a,V/STOL model plane now like the harrier jump jet and /or a VTOL like the V-22 Osprey?
I would live to see if someone can make the Harrier vector vents and Rolls Royce Pegasus engine for VSTOL flight

Build a version of the F4 Phantom, RF 4 B , fpv ing side and forward, you design one , I'll buy one and I'll add canards, making it a YRF4E, 62-12200.

I want to see a twin motor thrust vectoring system. Similar to the F-22.

Am I wrong that thrust vectoring is an extremely robust control system that can be used for a ton of interesting things? Why was the most interesting thing you could think of a flat spin?
Yes thrust vectoring is used for a ton of amazing moves but unfortunately ... Josh crashed it before we could try anything else 😂
Can you make a messerschmitt 163 and fly it but without the and B chemicals as l don't wish you to get hurt.

While you guys are at the 3d printing, can I make a suggestion? I would love to see a Glaive from the movie Krull, drone. It would be cool to have you guys throw it just for it to fly off into a foam board with a monster drawn on it.
I didnt know about this competition, last year i made my own. Can i still enter the competition?
Unfortunately, This thrust vectoring challenge is over but you can still share it on the forms that way other pilots can print it and use it.
@@FliteTest thanks for responding, ah thats ☹️ but will definitely be taking a look at the forms and other designs. As i went with pinions, ring and something kinda different. My total weighs 24gr, edf 64 and 70 mm overall length 120mm
