- Today I try Tristyn Lee's bulking diet! Over the course of a few months, Tristyn has bumped his calories up from 1,800 to a little over 3,000!
A full carnivore diet filled with organ meats!

Hellooo my people if you guys haven’t had Tacos de Lengua (cow tongue tacos) don’t be scared it’s amazing! As a Mexican it’s part of our cuisine a lot and I mean a lot of Americans would come and order that and absolutely love it 🥰 it’s all about the seasoning the texture is soft and we cut it into cubes like any beef taco and you can’t tell what it is with some cilantro onion and salsa to top it off

actually the liver raw has a very light taste, it is not beefy at all, but if you cook it then its taste is strong as hell, i can't even eat it, but raw it is delicious, it is a traditional food in many cultures.
btw goat liver has the best taste, it is a bit sweet even.

just give an advice to Trisyn, you can slice the beef tongue into really thin pieces and put it in the oven with salt for few minutes or you use cooking torch slightly roast it . That's how we cook beef tongue in Asia.

Also Beef Tongue taste much better when it is smoked, then it is delicious. You could also try get your hand on Slátur, ( Blood pudding ) which is Icelandic version of Haggis, then we take all the organs of the sheep mix it with Rye and Oats, minced fat and stuff it inside an intestine and boil it, it is really good, especially if you sour it ( pickle it ) in Acid whey and then you eat it with your Oatmeal in the morning, best breakfast ever...

The one thing that shocks me most everytime I see tristyn eat is the non existence of seasoning. Not once have I seen him use any seasoning, yet he still eats this stuff every day
He uses salt, he probably also cooks everything in animal fats like butter, tallow, ghee so yeah, no need to season it really as it tastes great
@@spqhie completely forgot about the animal fats he cooks with but still, ground beef and eggs with just salt? Seasoning is so little calories but does so much for flavor. But if he enjoys it plain honestly more power to him lol
@@blazingpanda6717 carnivore diet has very limited seasonings so I would assume that is why- not the calories.

I’m a senior in highschool at the moment, when I was a fresh’woman’ (lol) I used to heavily season and enjoy my carnivore foods. But right now, with all my exams and assignments, I cook my food fast, salt pepper, meat, wash it down with some milk and just get it over with so I have time to finish important things on my schedule (Saudi highschool oof grateful but stressed lol) Hopefully I’ll enjoy my food again when I enter college. I do enjoy my improved cognitive and physical functions now though.

Beef tongue can actually be really good! Barbacoa is known in the US as bbq beef but traditional barbacoa is actually slow cooked cattle head (the entire head but nowadays people mainly just use the cheeks and tongue)
Slow cook the tongue with seasonings and an onion for basically a whole day and it'll pull apart and make great traditional barbacoa tacos (source: my parents made this a lot as a kid)
🐮👅 I agree. When Will comes back to Texas, he needs to try lengua at an authentic Mexican restaurant or barbacoa tacos. They used to have them at Taco Cabana. I love cow tongue. The heart is good, too if you cook it like a pot roast.

McDonald’s burger meat is usually beef cheek, ear etc, idk why muricans are afraid of eating these parts of a cow when they literally eat McDonald’s every meal every day

Cut the boiled tongue into 1/2" dice and sear it in a ripping hot pan with the beef fat. Salt pepper garlic onion thyme rosemary.
Same with liver.. a super hot sear makes all the difference in flavor and texture. Similar to Foie gras.
The other move is mince up the liver (or heart) and mix it in with the ground beef before making the burgers.

The funny thing is that when prepared with a proper marinade or aging process, tongue is one of the most delectable parts of the cow. When done right it's insanely tender and absolutely filled with delicious beef flavor.
Edit: My go to tacos are Lengua and Cachete ;)

Beef tongue used to be a super cheap off cut. My Mom would make it for dinner when I was a kid. We would use the leftovers for tongue sandwiches the next day. It's super good with mustard.

Tongue is really good when it’s prepared well. My mom would boil it, then cut it up and let it marinate in a vinegar, parsley, and garlic mixture with spices (almost like a chimichurri)

@@danika7894 He was constantly losing muscle/strength eating so little calories doing everything he could to stay at 4% bodyfat year round being miserable now he's closer to 8% and is feeling much better

Good to see Tristyn is doing much better mentally with eating a bit "more." I know what he means when he said if he doesn't watch his intake he can under eat. Being short, and on an non training day that I work. I can go on 500-600 cals and not be hungry because I was busy, and didn't work out. But my fat a$$ makes up for it on weekends. 😆
Especially on carnivore. When I did keto I felt like I couldn’t get more than 1300 calories in no matter what I did- that much protein/fat is just so filling
My regular day eating clean...keto or not its hard to get more than 1300-1500. Sometimes im sitting there trying to force myself to get there just so i don't feel drained after a workout. You'd think that a few decent meals would get you there. I can do 8oz of chicken, 1 cup of rice, and some veggies and be stuffed all day.
@@cajunsmurf4354 yeah, I used to think people in the bodybuilding forums who said they had trouble eating enough were crazy until I realized they meant enough clean food/enough protein, not Oreos and pizza lmao. Clean food is definitely filling
Good thing for me is im not worried about getting there for getting bigger or anything. I just dont want to be exhausted without enough food for energy. They are so strict on these numbers to build as much mass as possible.
@@cajunsmurf4354 I'm the opposite...I can and have eaten 2000+ calories of just meat/chicken/fish for a diet, and my god it's expensive. I was always hungry on top of it, even in ketosis. Added a small amount of carbs in, and bam, no more intense unceasing hunger. :( I'm not built for it.
