The easy victory against Ghetsis is extra amusing since it's theorized that Ghetsis had built his team around taking down N, but wasn't prepared to deal with the player character. And that's exactly what happened here, with a lead that negates the one weakness of Regigigas and nothing that can really handle it.
Well, despite how things have gone for Mah Dry Bread, I really appreciate him still pushing this video out. Absolutely nobody would blame him for wanting to take a break, but he soldiers on. Salutes.
Trust me, I could use a break but at the end of the day the bills have to get paid. I still have a family to take care of.

Requesting Pokemon B2W2 With Only One Chinchou.
I always approve of b2w2 runs in general. Game doesn't get enough screentime. I always found em more engaging than even black and white 1 overall harder fights, in many ways team plasma also felt more threatening. Like ghetsis no longer wants to subtlety take over, he takes the gloves off builds a battleship and starts laying waste to cities, stakes just feel higher, but maybe that is just me

These Regigigas runs are a lot of fun. They tend to fall into the same category as a lot of fallout and elder scrolls runs. You know going in its possible, the question is more what it will take to get there. Oblivion with only illusion? Yeah, its possible but it'll be a slog!

It would be really cool to see you do Gen 7 sometime but I'm not sure how much of a challenge run it would be considering there's no 'gyms' in the traditional sense.
gen 7 has some of the toughest Pokemon games there would certainly be enough challenge
The Totem battles are pretty tough, and the other bosses aren't far behind. Gen 7 may give you plenty of options, but it does not lack challenge.

I don't think the lack of gyms makes Gen 7 any more or less challenging. I wouldn't mind seeing a Gen 7 run. Hell I'd take a Gen 6 run too.

Yeah. I’d love to see them do more dragon gym leaders, they give a good challenge.
Iris/Drayden aren't much of a challenge due to their use of Dragon Tail while Raihan isn't even a true Dragon specialist.
Juan in Emerald has a Kingdra that gives some challenge players grief. I've seen multiple Nuzlockers bemoaning him, and with Double Team, I don't blame them. =P
gen 3 that water gym was a pain too
Yellow Giovanni is probably the strongest.
Dumb Challenge: "Can you beat Pokèmon backwards?"
Start at the champion with a champion ready team, level down instead of up, uncatch your team, end at the starting town and return your starter.
Reverse gym order is kind of a thing but sure why not lol

Hey MDB I don't know if you know this but gen 6 doesn't have the gens 5, 7-9 exp thing for some reason. So the runs would be less brutal of a grind

I think that the reason why the 8th gym leader always seems easy is because at the point that you get there you already have a strong team thats got you through everything leading up to it, at least in normal playthroughs
I wonder what fossil MDB will take? Actually, he almost never takes the fossil in BW runs since you have to go back for it so he probably won't take it. Though if he did I think he'd take the Archen fossil, way better than Tirtouga.

You were on the point! He took the Plume fossil. MDB usually picks the stronger or cooler fossil of the 2, except for Omanyte.

One series that could be fun is beating each gen (dealers choice for which version) with its box art legendary. I realize it would be more of a speed challenge than anything but could still be fun.

Wallace and Juan in Gen III can put a decent fight too, especially Juan's Kingdra with its Double Team spam... ugh.
But overall, the 8th gym is usually not a problem because of the levels and available Pokémon you should have by then.

Regigigas always makes for bananas runs. Gen 6 would be hilarious, everyone thinks it’s super easy but the enemy Pokémon are actually the highest level in the series. Glad to see you’re doing alright, it’ll be cool to see more streams.

Well, we actually just got a new one! The old one sold his business to the new one in December, so I'm still building my relationship with the new one.
To me, there are two things that make the last gym tends to be relatively easy,
1st is move variety. You have a lot more coverage in the late game. For example, Rattata will struggle in the Kanto early game against Brock's Onix because it's stuck using normal moves, but will be able to get rid of Giovanni's Rhyhorn or Rhydon with relative ease, with something like Bubblebeam, Blizzard or Ice Beam.
Also, once you arrive at the last gym, you're typically the one with a level advantage, either because story reasons, like having to fight some evil team members, or you already had to grind before that to be able to beat another opponent, like Tate & Liza in Hoenn, for example. Taking a look at this run, Regigigas was lower level than the Gym's ace in the first attempt of the first 3 gyms, but the last gym, Regigigas had 14 levels ahead of it, which combined with effort values or stat experience, help compensate the fact that the pokémon in the late game have better base stats.

In the video you mentioned possibly doing gen 6 version of this challenge. Honestly I hope you consider doing gen 6 challenges in general. A gift pokemon one would be very interesting.
It's good to hear you're doing ok, so I figure it's best to just stay the course and continue like normal (no need to make a mountain out of a mole hill). So I'm going to continue with my usual suggestion of pokemon gold/silver with a single Murkrow

I think that in Gen 5 runs, you should try for the optional Cynthia fight, like how in GSC/HGSS you go for the Red fight, and in Emerald, you do Steven.

Ya know, for having slow start, it really hits the ground running. Also, it's hilarious how mummy actually works in your favor.

Slow start could be easily boosted: instead of only halving the stats at the beginning a constant increasing of the stats could be added like „after round five every five rounds add to the stats“ (forgot which stats get halved 😅)

I love challenges where you're given a super strong Pokemon, honestly.
But I would like to see the post-game one of these days. Regigigas is no-doubt strong enough to defeat Cynthia or Alder, and would've loved to see them in the Hall of Fame
The Starter choice looks pretty awesome with this. Do you want the cute little Pig? Or the cute little Otter? Or this almost 4 meter high Giant?
The funny thing is imho Regigigas main problem is not even the ability. It is the movepool. With its amazing bulk it could be a great defensive pokemon if only it had ANY sort of support moves AT ALL. It can't heal, it can't support the team, it doesn't even get Protect. It could be a good wall that gets scary when you leave it on the field for too long, but it just utterly sucks as a wall due to its movepool too...

Archen/Archeops could also be a fun run, its got pretty good stats but ALSO has a godawful ability in Defeatist, which cuts all stats in half once HP is half or below.
About that ponyta run your planning, grind on starly and shinx till you have 250 attack and speed EVs and 4 to HP through Bidoof. Dunno if you're gonna have to be level 100 by the end but you never know.
