Hi Chad. Really interesting because I had the near same experience with the flightfoam blast midsole in the asics novablast 2. On my first run in them I loved everything about the shoe until I got to around 4-5 miles when I started to get some pins and needles on the sole of my feet. I thought it was just my feet getting used to the new foam but the further I went the worse it got until it became so uncomfortable even painful I had to stop. I tried running in them a couple more times just to see if it was a one off but the same thing happened again just like your experience in this UA shoe so I had to give up running in them. Never happened in any shoe before or after for me. Really strange and a real shame because the fit and comfort of the shoe was fantastic. Thanks for the honest and in depth review. Ian 🇬🇧
I received the Infinite Pro for Christmas. I wore it at home for about 1hr but had to take it off because my foot was suffering in there. Haven't taken it for a run yet. It's too tight around the foot, although there is plenty of room lengthwise
For the record i run about 10 mile run in this just about every week for the last 10 weeks. I have never went numb with my feet. The laces are really easy to over tighten because you think the heel is too low. Sounds more like a personal issue for sure. The weight is also fine. It sounds like you wany this shoe to be like every other shoe. A cookie cutter. If you have muscle and are heavier this shoe is great. I have saucony endorphin speed, the asics novablast 3, saucony ride and havent even touched them lately. Just this shoe (which did take a couple runs) and the new balance 880. Id say at least try a speed day in them and get to know them better. Not all shoes need to be a saucony ride of brooks ghost replica. The price ... Its easy to get 20% off
You’re right about heavier runners; The consensus from some of the running TH-camrs I’ve seen said that the infinite elite would be good for weight lifters and and ball sport athletes looking to get into running or doing cardio. All the running specific TH-cam reviewers I’ve seen have said basically the same thing as this review.
I started to run at like 13 and im 27 now but it took me 5 years of running to learn to flex my foot fully upward and then tie my shoe medium tight. from the start i would do medium tight with a relaxed foot but... mediocre coaches. at 16 i had a cross country coach that would make me tie tighter tie tighter until i started to major issues. on some Kobe shi- the basics and small stuff matter so much more than you think.
I ran in them early in the morning, in the afternoon, in cooler temperatures, and warm temperatures. I even loosened the lases during one of the runs and the foot numbness persisted. I've never had the same issue in any other shoe I've run in (and I've ran in probably 30+ different models from different brands over the last few years). Kinda strange, and I hope others don't experience the same issue.
@@SeeChadRun ok, yah I was thinking it my be your foot expanding. Well l, thanks for the good vid (first time watching), I just ordered a pair, I hope they work out.
@ajt1athlete573 when you get a chance to run in them, let us know how they work out for you. I'd be really curious to know. Thanks for watching the video and for checking out the channel!
I was beginning to wonder if it was just me! It doesn't make sense but it's the experience I had. Hopefully others don't experience the same because setting aside that foot numbness, it's a great shoe. I appreciate you sharing your feedback and watching the video!
Same problem here. Very weird ... I just came back from a run with the same shoes... Literally 1st day... Same experience. Not felt like this for years... And I was meant to go for like 8 mi. I ended up doing only 3mi and I couldn't run anymore. Weird that a few more people experiencing the same thing using the same shoes. Halfway I even stopped and adjust the lasers thinking that could be the reason but looking at this review and all the comments I don't think it's just the laces problem... And I don't know what I am going to do with mine... UK size 11 in blue. Infiniti PRO. Shame really... And these are my second under armour shoes. The last one had an issue where they're too narrow. They were almost like chopping my foot away from the edges... I had to put a different insole... And the thing is I like the shoes. They look good. They feel great if you're not running But if you're running, it's a shame already... Can't seem to go faster or farther. Shame really... 😢
hi Chad, I saw this review and I was actually happy to see someone had a similar experience with a shoe. I had it once with the Asics nimbus 25. Do you have any idea why your feet got numb? Is it the amount of foam on the forefoot or on the back or just the fact the the whole midsole is thicker at some point than other shoes? And as from which point would that be? How can you check from what point your feet get numb without endlesly trying a lot of shoes? What would your advise be?
I've been trying to pinpoint why and exactly where my feet start to go numb in these shoes. I don't think it's from an overly plush midsole because it's no softer than anything else I've tried, but I do wonder if it's from the extra soft sock liner or something having to do with the upper. I did try loosening the laces during one of my runs and that seemed to help initially but didn't prevent it so it's hard to know if it's the upper or not. Another shoe that has about 38 mm of stack that also has a very soft midsole is the Craft Xplor which felt very nice underfoot and didn't give me any issues, so go figure.
How do the no show socks feel with these? I have the Under Armour Phantom 3 SE's and the shoe tears up my Achilles tendon with no show socks (which are my favorite sock aesthetically speaking).
These no-show shocks have a little tab on the back which helps prevent rubbing on the Achilles tendon (Adidas Running Tabbed). I use these socks for 100% of my runs and never have an issue in any shoe. Thanks for the question and the comment!
I am a D1 runner for an underamour school. Had the same problem with these, learned I was tieing them too tight. You have to have the laces super loose all the way; way to finicky but feel good when they are loose.. Honestly, I dont do much mileage in them but they are decent when tied right. Lots of guys on the do all there easy mileage in them 80+ miles. Try running in them way looser than you think you need.
No mention of it is a smart shoe or not. being that it is a HOVR, it should be but I could never get it to connect to the apps. Uninstalled, reinstalled the apps, disabled all Bluetooth devices in a 15ft radius. Nothing worked. So is it? Who knows?!
@@SeeChadRunlook up HOVR and UnderArmour MapMyRun, MapMyWalk, MapMyFitness, MapMyRide apps and you will find you can connect your shoes and it will train you how to run better and gives you stats on your cadence, min speed max speed avg speed, how your foot may indicate injury or other issues, etc. I’m surprised that most of the reviews I’ve seen on HOVR shoes is that no one knows that these are indeed smart shoes. It’s sad that no one actually reads up on the products they review and associated technologies.
I’m only watching this after making the purchase (50%). I hope I can get some KMs out of it. I have been training in Nike invincible and realised that after 600km my feet get sore. I have a Brooks ghost for long runs and got this one as a substitute. I hope 🤷
Oh man, bummer. I've always had good luck with UA apparel. I've only ever tried their basketball shoes. I had the first Steph Curry shoes back in the day haha, which I liked.
They've always had quite a few training shoes with a few running shoes here and there, but it seems they're trying to become more of a reputable running shoe brand. They're even sponsoring some elite athletes.
I'm glad I could be of service! If it weren't for the foot numbness, this would have been an awesome long run shoe. On that note, I just wrapped up a 20 mile run in the Craft Pacer and I'm very pleased with that shoe!

That's so interesting Ian! I can't explain why the foot numbness occurred, but it's otherwise unfortunate. As always, thank you for the comment!

That is pretty odd. Only time my feet ever go numb is when i pull the laces too tight.

how about for walking ? any good
They would offer plenty of cushioning for walking. I ended up giving these to my father-in-law and he loves them for watching.

What size shoe did you get? Are you putting them on eBay?
I'm a 9.5 and I went true to size. The shoe fit me just fine. Because I received the shoe for the purpose of review, I'm not allowed to sell it.
