I think people with more muscle and are heavier/leaner will really like these. I wear them over my Nimbus now. It took a few runs to realize I actually like running in an UA shoe
Look people can say what they want BUT everyone is different. Everyone’s expectations and what they want is different. I work for Under Armour and have for 8 years. This is hands down the most stable, and most comfortable shoe we have ever made. Yes most of their shoes are like WTF are you doing ? Not so with these. They are so comfortable, and so STABLE! The cushion is insane for walking around or working a 12 hour shift all day on concrete floors. These are amazing
I used to work for under armour and their shoes were initially what got me into running, particularly through the chip in some of their shoes that connects to MapMyRun. Since then I’ve kicked on had to leave their shoes behind because they just weren’t quite there yet, but I’m happy that they’re moving up!
Ah nice! After speaking with the other media invitees, they were seemed pretty conclusive that this next generation of running shoes from UA are definitely a step in the right direction
Good info thanks. Looks like a potentially good option to investigate for easy runs. Sounds similar to Nike invincible. Personally I don’t mind a little heavier shoe for recovery / easy runs, could even be a good thing for training benefit. Comfort, stability and good cushioning are key for me on these type of runs.
Thanks for this review. Don’t have a UA shoe but would like one as I have some of their kit which is fantastic and this looks fab but the weight worries me a bit. If they’re 320grams in your size 8 then they must be pushing 350 in my size 10 !? That’s much heavier than my much loved triumph 20 so can’t see me rushing to buy sadly.
Yeah I forgot to mention. The kit I tried was very high quality. As soon as they bring it down a little which I think will be possible with future versions this will be a great max cushion option
Never tried under armour such a crowded market! I love running but struggle to keep up with it. There are so many brands when i started i had one pair of gt2000s which i did everything in😅😅
Looking at possibly getting these, not for running though but more long walks, like 2-4 hours around town & along the seafront with my camera. Do you reckon these will be any good for that? My current shoes felt quite hard on the foot after around 1.5-2 hours in my last walk, especially around the heel.
Good looks, probably very comfortable. But on the expensive side, heavy, large drop. If a company wants to charge extra they better have a brand name, a carbon plate, or be light weight.
I have very light and comparatively very heavy shoes , all that i like and to be honest i have NEVER found the weight of a shoe makes any difference for me .
I have to share my honest opinions, otherwise there’s not much point making videos reviewing things. Other than weight it’s a decent shoe though, don’t get me wrong :)
UA do not exist in the running world, I’ve never seen any serious runner wearing UA ever (I’m based in uk & ME, maybe US they are more popular). Personally I think they will find it very hard to break into this market. Goodluck to them.
Fair comment, but I’m speaking generally within the running community. How many “amateur” runners do you see in training or on the start line wearing UA? Very few in my experience.
The shoes are way too firm and overbuilt. There is no energy return or responsiveness in the midsole. It's pretty much the same as every other UA running shoe 😢

under armor has been making a name for themselves. wont be trying this shoe but will definitely try some of their stuff in the future.
Welcome back to another episode of Ben is Reviewing!😂
Reporting for duty 🫡
Great concise review! 👍👍👍👍👍

Great review thanks Ben. Will you be doing a full review after 50-100km? Or it's just too heavy to keep running in?

Wondering when run it 3 ways will be back!
Would these make good daily wear?
The foam looks a lot like Brooks nitrogen infused DNA loft 2 foam. I am just curious if it feels similar.
What are your thoughts on the softness of the midsole on this one? Is this on a firmer side or somewhat plush?
Sounds a bit on the heavy side Ben, as you say, but UA are producing some good shoes now
The shoe look good!!!!

They won't be inviting you again Ben 🤣🤣
I can offer only my honest opinion as I value my viewers integrity. Hopefully they see value in that 🤝
It looks like the Brooks Ghost Max

First! Great vid as always!!
Thank you 🫡
You cant trust a reviewer who never says anything is bad.

What a useless comment
@@GriffRunning I think he’s got a very valid point imo

Finally ben 😂
I only got home from the even on Friday afternoon. Pretty speedy turnaround if you ask me :)
Keep it coming, excited to consume more of the vlogs 😅😁

Under Armor is getting some very good pro runners in mid distance. I especially Ike their spikes
Stephen Scullion was professionally signed with Under Armour when he ran a 2:09 marathon which sounds pretty serious to me.

@@garyleem2000 true, they don't seem to have cracked the mainstream market in the same way as Nike, Adidas, Saucony etc
Some lady just got second in the Boston marathon wearing ua shoes.

You've never heard of Under Armour?!
Of course I’d heard of them, just the first time I’ve tried running shoes from them. Just apparel in the past :)

Let’s be honest, UA do nice running wear (shorts and tops). But no one’s ever said they’re looking forward to test UA shoes for running 🫣
