Thanks for your review. This car looks amazing in the flesh and the ride / quality is unparalleled. I just purchased 270bhp tdi in black and 21" alloys. Stunning. Also got 5 year warranty with 2 year service intervals and very low depreciation compared to others, together with excellent discount- this killed the competition. I tested xc90, cayenne diesel, Range Rover sport and Merc gle and BMW X6 30. The Audi was a beast!!!
I bought this Q7 here in the US because of this review and I love it. I have the 3.0 litre Prestige with the glass roof and the electronic cockpit. It has been really useful especially driving to places I'm not very familiar with. Petrol MPG consumption actually isn't very bad for such a big automobile. Audi PreSense can definitely works, sometimes a bit too sensitive reacting to objects such as bags that are brushed immediately in front of it because of wind. Ultimately, I'm pleased. Thomas's reviews are incredibly in depth, and quite frankly the tipping factor why I bought a Q7.
I just subscribed for that exact same reason, it's a rare trait that needs to be more spread amoungst powerful motoring journalists so big car brands like Benz BMW Audi Lexus will actually listen. I am guilt of liking the looks of leather products but I'm perfectly fine with synthetic.
At first sight I didn't like the exterior like everybody commented here. But believe me while you see the car in real life it s much much better. Because all the videos and photos couldn't give the same feel to see the car with your own eyes in daylight. For the interior it's breathtaking. Today I visit the dealer to test it it was a such a good experience. And this video is a very good informed me about the car. Thanks for this beautiful video.
The car is good in every aspect, 300kg lighter, 4 wheel steering, cool headlights and taillights but it looks just so boring like a Big station wagon...
Here's what I thought about the looks of the 2nd generation of Audi Q7. Personally, I don't have any issue and any controversies about its exterior looks. I think that Audi themselves had done the good effort to make it work, and Audi was already send the strong message to their competitors by the time when I look at it. There's one thing that I'm definitely complaining about the new Q7 is it actually doesn't look ugly, but instead that I'm keep scratching my head why the community instantly absolutely hate it when the first time they look at it. Speaking about the interior, I had no complaints about it and I'm absolutely like it! Overall, it is actually BETTER than the X5 and maybe the GLE
better?...in which aspect? i look at it and i say: interior is nice place to be all the lights and gadgets surrounds you...exterior is odd, really... for the money you need to buy it you want both interior and exterior to be on the same lvl. Its like you want to buy it...but you have some 2nd thoghts...anyway i would choose the q7 for better tech instead of xc90...maybe you need to see it in person...bah :)
I really really appreciate your concern for animals. I share the same view on that aspect. Wow, I really wasn't expecting this, but now you are DEFINITELY my favorite car reviewer!!!! Many hugs from Sweden!
Reissumies Good question that needs a deeper answer! The thing is that, yes, hide is a by-product of the meat industry. Once a cow is killed then you might as well use the hide. The problem is these: 1. the meat industry is unethical in the first place. Cows are 99 out of 100 times treated very poorly, and by most definitions tortured on a daily basis before being killed. Rationalization means that the process becomes more efficient and less costly on the expense of the cows wee being. No matter how one twists and turns the issue, the mistreatment of the cows remains a fact. 2. The excessive consumption of meat is proven to be costly for the environment. This is a conclusion that science has come to reach. Hence we need to decrease the consumption. Overall the purchase of cars is increasing as well for all the logical reasons, as the third country populations are benefiting from some of the wealth that's been allocated to them. An increase of car sales means an increase in demand for leather. In order for the car manufacturers to be able to respond to the higher demand, the meat industry is required to follow the trend. So overall we're looking at a development with bad taste in our mouths. On the other hand, if we take science seriously and eat less meat, then the overall demand will decrease and less cows will be killed. This means a shortage of hides for leather. So the car manufacturers need to adjust and find other solutions. In the end, not only does this benefit us in terms of a healthier Earth, we will have a better conscience knowing that no animal has suffered for our convenience. Wouldn't you consider an alternative for the sake of cows? Wouldn't you feel better about it?
hn999 Did you watch the whole review? I talked about it in the exterior description, about ground clearance etc. If you want offroad capabilities, you HAVE to go for the air suspension to have the optional ground clearance
What about the size of the gas tank? I heard it had been reduced to only 75L form 100L. If that is the true, the driving range has been reduced quite a lot. Can you mention about driving range?
+Autogefühl Saw that thanks was great. I was hoping to get your view on whether the lesser powered engine of 212HP was worth the additional cost/effort over the 272hp
Pretty nice car, to me it looks better than the previous version. I even like the grill. What is the color? I was surprised that you didn't mention fuel consumption. I assume it is improved with the weight reduction. Another well balanced review. Thank you Thomas and Autogefuhl.
Bob P Thanks for your appreciation! Fuel consumption: Couldnt really make a good statement as we were only riding mountain roads. Got about 20 litres there, really high. So expect fuel consumption still to be rather bad. Colour was Macaw blue, awesome!
So is the soft touch plastic a cheap quality material and is the leather material used in the luxury editions are they like the leather seats sort of material or different? I also thought the S line was the top model so why wouldn't it have plastic rather than leather?
SolitudeMusic S-Line is top sports model but the sports versions usually dont use leather dashboards. In the Q7, they use real leather for the dashboard which is very dull. Imho the best would be if both version just used faux leather on the dashboard.
Now I'm confused as you originally said the s-line used soft touch plastic and the luxury editions used leather now in your most recent part you say they do. Well I did some digging and found it is a leatherette material so the plastic part is right it's made to look like leather. I suppose it's a good quality plastic anyway though.
I agree with you Thomas , don't like so much the exterior of this generation of Q7 , but the interior is Incredible .. keep it up Thomas you are the best ;)
Detailed information! I was looking for information b4 the release of this car but I couldn't find any video which provides such amazing information GREAT JOB AND KEEP GOING!
Hi thank you for the great videos! Went to the Volvo dealership to check out the 2016 xc90 and really liked it but now I'm torn between the new Audi Q7 and the Volvo XC90. Which would you choose since you had the privilege to spend time with both vehicles?
Amit Parkash Thanks! Good question, I think it depends on what you really want. The XC90 has more character, more unique styling, especially on the exterior. The Q7 does not attract so much attention, has better driving characteristics and a more refined interior (whereas the Volvo one is more spectacular). The 7 seater option is better executed in the Q7. I would say, that by pure logic and technology, the Q7 is the better car, but the XC90 is emotionally the more attractive car.
+Autogefühl Thank you for the reply! sorry for my delayed response. We are looking for an Suv that can be used occasionally as a 7 passenger. In what ways is the audi a better 7 seater option as you said earlier? Thank you...
I just want to know if the engine is the same from what's in the S4/S5 (3.0 supercharged, not the latest 3.0 turbo). If so, how can it achieve 6.1 sec from 0 - 100... it's just crazy, but great :)
I doubt that it's exactly the same. Must have advanced features, otherwise the gas mileage would be worse. The acceleration makes sense though. I still think that the 3.0 TFSI supercharged engine is hard to beat when it comes to responsiveness. It doesn't sound or feel that exciting. Not that big of a deal for a well insulated SUV.
I loved it in my B8 S4 too! It's an outstanding engine, and certainly in the early applications was hugely underrated. No personal experience with more recent versions. If one wanted to find weaknesses, for me it was sound and fuel economy. I'm excited to have another round with it in the Q7 though - ours is at the port now
Thanks for the review, I am a potential buyer of an SUV/Cross over-(USA), your videos explain a lot of details. Again please compare XC90 with Q7, I think Volvo has done a great job
Great video as always! Audi missed the opportunity to introduce a more efficient bi-turbo V6 petrol engine (like in the Macan). This is the relatively old V6 with compressor, carried over from the S4, at least 8 years old... How much was the fuel consumption on your test drive, i guess 15 liters/100km minimum?!
Great review as always! This car doesn't seem to look that bad, especially in the S Line trim and silver paint and 21" rims with turbine look as shown in the driving part in the video. Interior design is excellent and I think I prefer the E-Tron model that this because of the fuel economy
POWER!! Good question, i think its the question if what you want. Most character and most unique: XC90. Most 'hiding' and unpretentious: Q7. Best in driving: X5. Most expensive: ML :D
***** in autobild test Q7 win test and says that is better for driving ,lighter and interior have awsom and more new technology:) for me when i see Q7 in much time its better and better, thank you for answer you are good car tester :)) one more questions? M6 gran coupe-RS7-or Cls 63 :)
POWER!! thanks! I would prefer the A7 over the CLS as it drives better and offers more space, check my A7 facelift review and the RS7 review! M6 ... actually never driven it yet!
bonustraka 23 Kyle does a good job. His videos aren't as polished as Thomas. Plus, he isn't a journalist nor has access to the same number of cars. He has a doctorate in Pharmacy!
Mighty Vicious Uh, no. And, please be careful saying that. Insinuating that a pharmacist is a drug dealer usually ends poorly for that person. I know you meant that as a joke.
Thomas, thank you for your review style. It's refreshing to watch a no nonsense, straight to the point review. I feel your review is spot on as well. The exterior is a step backwards through my eyes. It doesn't have the presence of the last generation 7. We Americans seem to like cars with a high stance with our trucks and suv's. I do feel that the interior is well crafted and classy though. In my honest opinion, I think it's going to be a slow seller for Audi, at least in the USA. I'm sure they'll sell well in Europe though. Thanks again.
first thank you for this review however i was looking forward for your comment about A/C vents at 3rd row seats and how the vehicles are efficient at that point, especially volvo got vents at 3rd row seats and Audi does not ,on other hand audi is equipped with full glass heat insulated glass and volvo is not looking forward for your reply. thank you
+Autogefühl well i did not checked the review again but this particular detail i paying attention to it cos i live in middle east and our country characterized by very hot climate and Effective A/C is one of the essentials, Audi offer splendid a/c efficiency at 1st and 2 nd row but third row i do not know cos no vents is available for them. Could u please elaborate more about that. Thanks a lot for fast reply
Good job Thomas, Thank you! I had for 22 years 5 Volvos 240, 960, S80, XC90 2.5T, and now XC90 R-Design. Maybe now is the time to switch to the Audi Q7...
What a cool landscape :) The exterior is messed up. These edgy shapes are hiding the real dimensions of that car. I'm pretty sure that the old Q7 was a hit, because its body emphasized them. I'm curious how the in-dash LCD works. Is it pop-up screen? Can you lower it when you don't used the navigation or at least turn it off? Is it a comfortable to use device for taller driver?
***** this or Volvo XC90 T8? I like Volvo more. I i need to decide between Volvo xc90 t8 and mercedes s500 coupe, i really dont drive the car much but when i go out i also want to go on all terrain, so the Merc is kinda not good is too low, what do you think?
Glaur Sian or the mercedes gle 500 electric? i really am reserved about the battery's, to wait better ones and get a full diesel/petrol or to go for petrol/electric thing...
Glaur Sian You can put the S-Class Coupé higher with the air or hydraulic suspension for more ground clearance, but clearly the XC90 is the better car for all terrain stuff. About the new GLE, we will review that one later this year!
I think it would looks much better when u change all silver parts to black. I also agree with you Thomas about interior. It is epic, also new A4 interior.
LOVE THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR. The rear defuser does look a bit cheap; however, I would not be overly concerned about that. I love the geometric and cut look of the exterior opposed to the current model that I feel looks a bit lumpy and bloated. I really hope there will be an S model with a larger engine option.
Nice presentation hard to find German who speak English ! Cand you please test the Cheaper cars like Dacia :Duster,Lodgy,Logan/MCV and tell me what do you think about them !
***** i wana now what a german person think about Dacia ! I want tu buy a car and i want to know to buy a Second Hand or a brand new Dacia Buget:11000-12000 EURO !
The exterior is not bad in my opinion, but the Matrix headlights...Not really worth it, I think. You know, I have this acquaintance of mine who treated himself to an Audi A6 last year - right after the facelift, and quite recently he - sadly - has gotten into an accident. Now I don't know the details, but almost the complete front part of the car was damaged badly and the lights were supposed to be changed. The official service center - can't really get these lamp elsewhere - billed him almost 9000 euro for the lamps and the work and, well, it's not exactly cheap. And about the interior - everything is really superb, except that I don't like the vents design, it really exploits the VW Passat design and that in my opinion doesn't benefit the image of the car. Otherwise - great!
xc90 with Q7 engine..now that is the perfect.. car.. decided to go with Q7 for the engine and technology.. in Canada, we only get the 3.0 super charge engine
thanks for details review, I agree with that the Q7 external should be much better, I preferred current design shape, but I ma really confused which to pick Q7 or XC 90
+Alirabea rabea- the XC90.It looks better, better value, more present on the road. You have to drive both and compare but I came away more impressed with the XC90. I love Audi but the smart money is on the Volvo.
Andrei Popov Hey, thanks for the inquiry, we ll keep that in mind and do it with the next fitting car. We ve shown how the ipad integration works with the Skoda Superb - maybe check out that video
Dear Thomas, next time please make a video about these cars in cold start mode! ( try to run the engines in - 20 C or some cold degrees) Because that differentiates whether Audi is better than rest of the cars or not.
***** My inquiry is to see how these cars or SUVs will respond to cold weathers! ( By cold weather I mean - 20 C or more degrees). Today all cars offer you digital accessories, be it radio, navigation, leather seats, or whatever but what differentiates them is the engine they have. In old videos titled as "cold start audi or bmw or mercedes" show the real faces of these cars that they last longer than any of these cars out there. But I am not sure if you can get -20C in Germany.
Critical John very seldom. There have been some winters with these temperatures, but not every one. At least not where I live. In Bavaria high up the mountains thats possible.
The Interior is beautiful, the exterior design though. Yikes. What were they thinking? "Let's build a car that actually looks like a chubby box!". I found the old Audi design lines (especially the front) a lot better to look at. Same with the R8. I'm not very keen on that square front grill. That's a step in the wrong direction. Good review though.
Another nice review from you guys! Now please test the Range Rover Sport SDV6 and I have some more food for thought (after this and the XC90 review) :) Oh, the Cayenne Diesel would be nice to see too ;)
Bart Coopman Thanks! Actually we have the Range Rover SVR review and the Cayenne Diesel - just search for them in connection with "autogefuehl" and you ll find it :)
***** The SVR? I wish! I'm afraid that car isn't an option :( But what a car that is, for sure (great review by the way, I did see it, yes ;) ). I must have missed the Cayenne Diesel review, I'll search for it, thanks!
Inspired by the excellent review, I went to the Audi dealer here in Florida to give the Q7 a test drive. I did not like it. Slow, poorly responsive engine and not a great ride in the comfort mode. The little track pad by which one manipulates the screen is very poor, hard to handle. The driver seat is small (or perhaps my butt is too wide?). On the positive side the cargo area is excellent, lots of room and the seats fold down flat--a failure in many new SUVs. Also looked at the Q8 and recommend you not bother with it at all: more money, less room, but a nicer front seat area (which should be included in the Q7).
thanks a lot for the review. Based on your review, I will postpone my purchase few more months so I can personally compare XC90 with Q7. Even though Q7 looks more like station-wagon, but still I like its look. In side of Q7 is definitely better. Hope its price is not too much compared to XC90 in USA.
As an Audi owner I am deeply dissapointed with the exterior:( looks so boring. The old one had some kind of intimidating charm.. I would love to see a review of the Cayenne from you! My personal suv favourite, lucky enough to borrow my dads when I need a little more room than my a1 can provide, hard to beat that sporty driving experience in such a big car:)
I also like the XC90's exterior design better, and eventhough the interior is superbly crafted I don't really dig that Passat/Quattroporte-style vent grill all over the place. Besides if you want a decently equipped car you're in for a €30-40K insane option list. The best part is that you get way more customization options than Volvo, especially Audi Exclusive colors like the beautiful imperial blue featured on this test car. Oh and btw, I think this engine isn't turbocharged but supercharged instead. Are you joking about the fabric interior looking as good? The only available option is coal mine full black vs dozens of shades from cream and burgundy to blues and greens if you go for optional leather hides. I guess your belt and shoes are trimmed in dinosaur leather lol.
Ted McScorcher You are right, its a compressor / supercharged although they are saying TFSI, very strange. About shoes and belt: I wont buy any new ones in leather as I got to know how it is produced.
Great review. Thanks I was skeptical before, but actually like how it looks in person. The interior is stunning. I'm comparing it to X5 and XC90. The Volvo is very well done. The Audi still feels more solid and expensive and the drive is superior by a large margin. The X5 is too small inside in comparison and lacks interior refinement. Too bad that the Audi diesels are not being sold in US at this time. The dealerships have Q7 TDIs sitting on their lot, but can't release them.
For real drivers- the driving experience should matter the most and space for the family of-course .Q7 seems to give both. I would take it easy on the ext design aspects- esp the back side looking very simple.
volvo xc90 looks better IMO and it feels like they kinda slightly failed with the interior cockpit with the car. I was expecting a big touchscreen in the middle of it but all there was were AC. But the driving seems to be excellent
Thank you Thomas for bringing another good review. I was looking for this one a long time ago. I am convinced now that exterior wise, the new Q7 is a miss and BMW should be blowing all bells and whistles to champion their X5 for another 10 years. At least the interior makes you forget the exterior and I agree with you that it is well done and always like the technology Audi brings. I have to shake my head maybe another dozen times to get their point of making the car lower. How on earth an SUV should have similar ground clearance to an allroad? Why make the consumer pay extra to gain more height? Audi disappointed me on this one. Let's hope they get their lesson before releasing the new Q5.
Beautful interior, absolute perfection, but exterior styling spoils everything, this is premium SUV, and it should have better design features , it looks too simple, and it is not that much better looking than the previous version. XC90 would be my choice for the moment in this segment, maybe it has lesser driving dynamics, but for an average driver , it is not that important....
I think the exterior design is non-offensive, but pretty is certainly not. They should've let the people who design the interior also design the exterior.
Hello, would you do a Audi A8 Review please. I love your detailed Reviews. I am trying to convince my wife to let me buy the A8. I can buy it right now but i want her to be happy about it and not think its just an expensive car. Thanks in advance. :)
Thanks for another thorough review, Thomas. I'm not inspired by the exterior design. In Canada we have a Dodge (Chrysler) Journey that looks an awful lot like the new Q7 (groan). Audi tends to have such nice lines so I'm surprised on this one. Request: could you pronounce your surname on a future video? Just curious on the pronunciation. Stunning panorama for your video. More than makes up for the disappointing car visuals (nice colour however). Saluti!
Mario Dalla Riva Thanks Mario! Yeah I will spell the name during the next shoot. Upcoming will be Ford Mustang and Infiniti Q70, but the next review after that I ll do it :)
***** Grazie mille, Thomas!! Are you watching Le Mans live ?? Looks like Porsche & Audi all the way! Great racing series, the WEC I have to say. I look forward to your next review. Ciao! ps I just tried a product from your country - Sonax wheel cleaner spray. A bit pricey but works extremely well on my bimmer alloys. Highly recommend it (less effort required to clean the stubborn front rim brake dust etc).
Don't forget to thumbs up, guys, if you like the reviews - it really helps those who made it. Good review, I have similar taste in cars as Autogefuhl, it seems.)
Thanks for your review. This car looks amazing in the flesh and the ride / quality is unparalleled. I just purchased 270bhp tdi in black and 21" alloys. Stunning. Never heard someone reviewing a car care about animals before.
Impressed!! :)
Ranjan Ghosh I really appreciate that you notice that!
You're welcome!!
Agreed. But I don't agree with his views on the Q7.

The looks Thomas gives and the way he says things always makes me smile.
Bruno TaTa love to hear that :)
You are probably the best car reviewer on youtube, keep up the good work!
darenshan54 Really love to hear that, these comments keep us going!

This video is probably the most professionally looking video you guys have made! Props!
Zachary Ong thanks Zachary!
I was an avid Q7 hater until I drove one. Hope to get one soon. The virtual cockpit and air suspension are absolute musts!
Very informative and organised reviewer. I appreciate the thorough and detailed explanations.
Jose Taveras thanks!!
***** 3.0 TFSI is the same engine
as Audi s5 ( S4 )?
He reminds me of president uchtdorf. I feel like I'm listening to general conference about cars when I hear him :)
All I can say is, I hope they don't fuck up the new Q5 exterior like they did with this...
+LuWeiHuang Still... this design is 10 times better than the old Cow-7.
+That Guy seeing this thing in person its not ugly. not pretty also. yeah but it still holds its massive size
The car is good in every aspect, 300kg lighter, 4 wheel steering, cool headlights and taillights but it looks just so boring like a Big station wagon...

Does anyone know why i cant find this model with engine between 2017-2019 in Europe and does it have problems and and alot of oil burn?
One of the best car reviews I have seen! BTW where is this gorgeous location? Swiss alps?
I really really appreciate your concern for animals. I share the same view on that aspect. Wow, I really wasn't expecting this, but now you are DEFINITELY my favorite car reviewer!!!! Many hugs from Sweden!
YM M Great to hear such feedback, thank you very much!
YM M Why don't you ask him about his belt and shoes? What are they made of?
YM M If you eat cows, then why not use their hides?

I think most of the leather in cars is still fake, so that is not so big problem.
What about offloading capabilities and systems, ground clearance etc?
hn999 Did you watch the whole review? I talked about it in the exterior description, about ground clearance etc. If you want offroad capabilities, you HAVE to go for the air suspension to have the optional ground clearance
Great video! Is a manual transmission available?
Don G. Thanks! No, starts directly with s-tronic
One of the best car reviews I have seen. Where is this gorgeous location? Swiss alps?
ambientshanks Thanks, really appreciating it! Yes, Swiss alps at Verbier. So beautiful
What about the size of the gas tank? I heard it had been reduced to only 75L form 100L. If that is the true, the driving range has been reduced quite a lot. Can you mention about driving range?
Kee Lee Indeed. There is just an optional 85 l available
Will you be reviewing the lesser powered TDI engine?
+lai lai the more powered SQ7 :)
+Autogefühl Saw that thanks was great. I was hoping to get your view on whether the lesser powered engine of 212HP was worth the additional cost/effort over the 272hp

Fuatdino Francesc Hi! The petrol engine is more fun, however considering the size of the car you have to think about the consumption..
+Autogefühl what was the fuel consumtion in petrol engine?
night interior test?
Did the Audi have the more silent laminated windows option?
tolve12 yep!
Thank you autogefuhl!! I really like the car..keep up uploading full test drive reviews..
afifi mohd thanks, appreciated!
You said that in the interior that the dash piece or whatever is plastic isn't that a type of leather that's made like that? That's what I heard...
SolitudeMusic In the s-line, it is soft touch plastic. Luxury editions are with leather

nice video. but you didn't cover the technologies on it. such as drive assist, pre sensor+ and adaptive cruise control (including traffic Jam Assist)
My favourite Autogefuhl video!
=)
I agree with you Thomas , don't like so much the exterior of this generation of Q7 , but the interior is Incredible .. keep it up Thomas you are the best ;)
Detailed information! I was looking for information b4 the release of this car but I couldn't find any video which provides such amazing information
GREAT JOB AND KEEP GOING!
+Chin ZeMin thanks for the support !
Have you had the opportunity to drive the 218 HP TDI yet?
tolve12 hey, sorry no
Hi thank you for the great videos!
I love the way you r making your reviews ...a special thanks from North Africa
Yassine Idbelaid Love to hear that - greetings to RSA!
professional in-depth honest review.
You got yourself a new subscriber.
Great! Thx!
nice review. is it more quiet than a S Class Mercedes on Rough surface roads?
+fxevery1 thanks! oh, hard to tell. Dont think so, but both very silent
Sehr schöne Review, in welchem Teil der Schweiz warst du, Kanton Graubünden? Sieht aus wie Davos, Klosters.
I LOVE your reviews!!
YM M thanks, love to hear that :)
Der erste Autotester mit vernünftiger Kleidung! Dass ich so etwas noch erleben darf...
Martin Bauer hehe =) immer gerne
I just want to know if the engine is the same from what's in the S4/S5 (3.0 supercharged, not the latest 3.0 turbo). If so, how can it achieve 6.1 sec from 0 - 100... it's just crazy, but great :)
yeah it is the same platform so all big audis will be using the same engines
I doubt that it's exactly the same. Must have advanced features, otherwise the gas mileage would be worse. The acceleration makes sense though. I still think that the 3.0 TFSI supercharged engine is hard to beat when it comes to responsiveness. It doesn't sound or feel that exciting. Not that big of a deal for a well insulated SUV.
I love the one on my B8.5 S4 though.
I loved it in my B8 S4 too! It's an outstanding engine, and certainly in the early applications was hugely underrated. No personal experience with more recent versions. If one wanted to find weaknesses, for me it was sound and fuel economy. I'm excited to have another round with it in the Q7 though - ours is at the port now
I salute you for both sideburns and outfit
Thank you Thomas for such comprehensive review, if I may ask about Q5 , will it have the same exterior & interior features?
Best regards
great review, and such a beautiful location. thanks for the video
rafael kajatt thanks! Yeah I also love Switzerland :)
GTI_CHHA Hey, thanks! Indeed, it was VERY high. We did drive in the Alps, but still it was always high in the two digit count, indeed
Dat intro though. Epic!
mrsufflak thanks :>
Love your reviews man! Where exactly is this filmed? Awesome place!
any1 know where the fim this review ?
mzlbat hey, that was in Verbier, Switzerland!
Great review as always! This car doesn't seem to look that bad, especially in the S Line trim and silver paint and 21" rims with turbine look as shown in the driving part in the video. Interior design is excellent and I think I prefer the E-Tron model that this because of the fuel economy
For you what car is better Q7,X5,ML or xc90 all new versions?:))
***** yes I see your test with RS7 very good review;) next test new R8 v10 plus or new RS3 will be interesting:)?
saabkyle04 should watch this and learn how to review a car.
bonustraka 23 appreciate your approval, m8!
bonustraka 23 his videos are more overviews, as apposed to reviews.. both good, just different
bonustraka 23 Kyle does a good job. His videos aren't as polished as Thomas. Plus, he isn't a journalist nor has access to the same number of cars. He has a doctorate in Pharmacy!
+Autogefühl gr8 m8 i r8 u 8/8 :)
Mighty Vicious
Uh, no.
James Hall Thanks for you appreciation, that really always keeps on doing what we are doing. I am sharing your thoughts.
It does look like a stationwagon instead of an SUV. Not sure if i like that.
Great car. How does it compare to the new Volvo XC90?
orlando124431 Check the driving part and my conclusion, I am talking about the comparison in that one!
first thank you for this review
however i was looking forward for your comment about A/C vents at 3rd row seats and how the vehicles are efficient at that point, especially volvo got vents at 3rd row seats and Audi does not ,on other hand audi is equipped with full glass heat insulated glass and volvo is not
looking forward for your reply.
thank you
+msb0869 Thanks! Audi does offer the 3 zone AC also for the Q7, didnt I show that?
+Autogefühl well i did not checked the review again but this particular detail i paying attention to it cos i live in middle east and our country characterized by very hot climate and Effective A/C is one of the essentials,
Audi offer splendid a/c efficiency at 1st and 2 nd row but third row i do not know cos no vents is available for them.
Could u please elaborate more about that.
Thanks a lot for fast reply
+msb0869 The Q7 does have this, I am showing the rear vents in the video in detail, you can just watch that so all of your answers are answered
+Autogefühl questions are answered of course ;)
+Autogefühl and they are optionally of course.
very professional, keep up the good work!
+nightriders92 thanks!
Nice review Thomas! I really enjoyed driving the 3.0 TFSI Quattro
autovideoreview thanks m8!
Good job Thomas,
Thank you!
I had for 22 years 5 Volvos 240, 960, S80, XC90 2.5T, and now XC90 R-Design. Maybe now is the time to switch to the Audi Q7...
***** thanks! And interesting to hear that :)
;)
What a cool landscape :) The exterior is messed up. These edgy shapes are hiding the real dimensions of that car. I'm pretty sure that the old Q7 was a hit, because its body emphasized them. I'm curious how the in-dash LCD works. Is it pop-up screen? Can you lower it when you don't used the navigation or at least turn it off? Is it a comfortable to use device for taller driver?
Jerzy Gołębiewski yeah so beautiful in switzerland! LCD can be hidden, yes! Taller drive is no problem :)
Great job!
I think it would looks much better when u change all silver parts to black. I also agree with you Thomas about interior. It is epic, also new A4 interior.
Q7 vs. XC 90?
Kai Jin Yeah, I did state my opinion on that while driving and in the conclusion. Our XC90 review is linked below.
The best family SUV yet in my opinion, just perfection (although the tail lights are a bit ugly).
It looks like it sit lower. The exterior design will take some getting used to, but looks good.
on air like the old allroad, she goes up and down. ;o)
Nice review. Don't like the exterior, but you are right, the interior is nice.
sfneurosurgeon thanks!
Cand you please test the Cheaper cars like Dacia :Duster,Lodgy,Logan/MCV and tell me what do you think about them !
jaraisz06 Thanks! Thanks for the inquiry, I ll keep that in mind!
Vasiliy Kulev yeah, if you have a crash, those lights make it even more expensive...
Another great review Tom....conservative but not tacky I guess. Exterior would look better with the bigger 21inch mags. Thanks again mate.
Nick Bowley thanks, appreciated!
xc90 with Q7 engine..now that is the perfect.. car.. decided to go with Q7 for the engine and technology.. in Canada, we only get the 3.0 super charge engine
Great high quality minimalistic interior, exteriror is also not bad...
Looks more like an avant. I definitely like the front-end more on the previous generation.
thanks for details review, I agree with that the Q7 external should be much better, I preferred current design shape, but I ma really confused which to pick Q7 or XC 90
+Alirabea rabea- the XC90.It looks better, better value, more present on the road. You have to drive both and compare but I came away more impressed with the XC90. I love Audi but the smart money is on the Volvo.
+Alirabea rabea thanks for watching!
hi guys. can you make the video about rear seat "entertainment"? plz. its all new and it'll be very interesting ... thanks for the review
Andrei Popov Hey, thanks for the inquiry, we ll keep that in mind and do it with the next fitting car. We ve shown how the ipad integration works with the Skoda Superb - maybe check out that video
nice review for a very nice car , i liked the exterior! but the new Lexus RX still choice nr. 1
Dear Thomas, next time please make a video about these cars in cold start mode! ( try to run the engines in - 20 C or some cold degrees) Because that differentiates whether Audi is better than rest of the cars or not.
Critical John Hi! Thanks for the inquiry - what shall we do with the engine then or what shall we measure?
***** My inquiry is to see how these cars or SUVs will respond to cold weathers! ( By cold weather I mean - 20 C or more degrees). Today all cars offer you digital accessories, be it radio, navigation, leather seats, or whatever but what differentiates them is the engine they have. In old videos titled as "cold start audi or bmw or mercedes" show the real faces of these cars that they last longer than any of these cars out there. But I am not sure if you can get -20C in Germany.
Critical John very seldom. There have been some winters with these temperatures, but not every one. At least not where I live. In Bavaria high up the mountains thats possible.
looks very modern and classy.
Everything about this audi is very good except its styling
The Interior is beautiful, the exterior design though. Yikes. What were they thinking? "Let's build a car that actually looks like a chubby box!". I found the old Audi design lines (especially the front) a lot better to look at. Same with the R8. I'm not very keen on that square front grill. That's a step in the wrong direction. Good review though.
juefis thanks !
I'd have this interior AMD the exterior of the first gen s line with the kits
Bart Coopman great!
In Sweden we only get the diesel and e tron.
pretty interesting
***** thanks for watching and the consideration!
Diesel does things Hi! Search for autogefuehl cayenne - you ll find my review! :)
***** Which one do u vote overall all new xc90 or q7
Thanks
I was skeptical before, but actually like how it looks in person.
+germancarnut thx! Good observation
yes please, s-line with a pulley please, thank you!
ChAbAr thanks for the comprehensive feedback buddy. I agree
When is Mercedes going to introduce the new GLE?
+David van der Zande They are doing it right now. Full review will be coming up in a couple of month at autogefuehl!
Marijan Matic I agree
I think the exterior design is non-offensive, but pretty is certainly not.
They should've let the people who design the interior also design the exterior.
BatuKMan1 hehe that would surely make some designers go mad inside the company ;-)
Oh, and the central display...Doesn't really belong there, I think. A7 and A8 solutions look much more elegant
Hello,
would you do a Audi A8 Review please.
Mario Dalla Riva Arf, forgot it in the last shooting. Really trying to think about it now! :DD
Mario Dalla Riva Hey Mario, now I FINALLY remembered it :) Check out the upcoming Renault Espace review for my surname pronunciation :)
Very interesting, thx
Appreciated! Please recommend our channel 🤗
Don't forget to thumbs up, guys, if you like the reviews - it really helps those who made it. Good review, I have similar taste in cars as Autogefuhl, it seems.)
ycnexu Indeed! Thanks for mentioning that :)
Thomas Majchrzak? You're of Polish descent :)
